We had limited time to visit Scotland but made the most of it with two nights in the Stonehouse. In my experience self catering accommodation is disappointing regardless of the price. Here is the exception. The structural design and views are a given but the hosts are sincere in their welcome and provide accommodation which is extremely comfortable. I particularly appreciated the underfloor heating and pressed cotton sheets. I could go on but it’s best to just go and experience this treasure for yourself.
We had another great stay at the Stonehouses. This is our second year running staying. We loved it. House is so well equiped, cosy and homely. Rachel and Gavin are brillant hosts who make the booking process very easy and are on hand to help during the stay. We were made to feel very welcome. We will be returning in 2026.
