This accommodation is set on a large, leafy, secluded property. It’s extremely peaceful, very well equipped and feels like a world away from the busyness of city life. The hosts were very welcoming and after showing us around, gave us our privacy which we appreciated. Of course , they were available should we have needed them. As the weather was cold and windy we decided to prepare our own meals in the easy to navigate kitchen. We would happily return to this accommodation .

Ideal holiday destination, so much to do only a short distance away, taxi service superb, if not traveling by car also very reasonable, beautiful scenery, tennis coart, fabulous hosts nice and quiet and peaceful could go on and on definitely 10/10.

Excellent accomodation alongside the main house with very attentive and efficient hosts who were able to meet our additional requests. A good location for visiting the islands in the Clyde estuary and also Glasgow and Ayrshire too. Highly recommended.

While on a job assignment in 1984, my husband & I called Noddsdale Estate "home" for a few months. At that time, we were graciously welcomed by Elspeth & Peter Robertson. What an extra special return for us forty years later as we were, once again, warmly welcomed by the Robertson family - rightfully proud owners of Noddsdale. Sympathetically renovated, the Bell Loft maintains its original architectural detail while also providing lovely decor and modern-day comfort. Noddsdale is a remarkable estate both in its noteworthy history as well as its natural beauty. What a treat that the Robertson family shares their lovely estate in the way of holiday lets. We can't wait to return!

Stayed at the Bell Loft while visiting family in Largs. Beautiful quiet location with amazing views and still only a 5 min drive into the town. The accommodation exceeded our expectations. The hosts had thought of everything you might need for a stay. They were extremely welcoming and friendly. Loved the touch of homemade shortbread. All the decor had been done sympathetically to the era. Beds were really comfortable and had the best night's sleep away from home.
Great location for exploring the area and easy to take the train into Glasgow.
We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to our family if they were up in Scotland for a visit.

Every small detail has been considered to make our stay cosy and comfortable. We wanted for nothing.

Hosts; Jane & Chris are a delight. Cheerful, attentive and very welcoming. They are both very hard working. Their garden large and fabulous, a testament to their dedication to their gardening passion.

We visited with our vintage car. Plenty of space to manoeuvre our tow car and trailer (in which the vintage car was transported). Jane & Chris made no fuss at all when we were positioning things to our preference.

We hope that we will return one day.

This really is a great place to stay, an impressive building in a tranquil setting. Nicely furnished and with a well equipped kitchen it has a bath (as well as shower) with loads of hot water and very comfy beds. The place is lovely and warm - centrally heated but with an open fire too. Add to all this charming and efficient hosts! Thoroughly recommended.

We enjoyed our weeks stay in the Bell Loft on the Noddsdale Estate, a homely and comfortable apartment with the option of an open fire which we used on a wet day ( Extra to the ample central heating).
Ample facilities to self cater and a nice touch with a coffee pod machine including pods, shortbreads on arrival + fresh flowers.
Loved exploring the area even though we had a mixed bag! Of weather, our first time in this part of Scotland.

We really enjoyed our two week stay. Jane and Chris were very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome.The accommodation was very comfortable and very well equipped with everything you could need. The location was perfect, plenty of places outside to sit and relax with fabulous views and also we had the freedom to wander around the beautiful estate. The house was so unusual and wonderfully designed and it was an enjoyable experience to stay there. Hopefully we will stay again before to long.

Absolutely brilliant, cannot describe just how wonderful the location and setting are. Superb hosts who have thought of everything to help during the stay. Very peaceful and relaxing with walks close by and lovely scenery. Accommodation comes with everything you require. The town is close by and has transport links to all major cities if required. We will definitely be coming back.

Our second stay at The Bell Loft whilst visiting family. Great base to catch a train to Glasgow, a ferry to local Islands, a walk along Largs sea front. The Bell Loft is comfortable, clean and very quiet. The hosts are very welcoming and arrival is hassle free. There are great walks within the estate and fantastic views, very relaxing stay.

We loved everything about the Bell Loft on the Noddsdale estate. Accommodation was special, there was so much to do around the area too and the owners couldn't have been nicer. We have never been to a cottage that provided so much top quality kitchen utensils and the kitchen was superb. The Bell Loft is that perfect combination of character and charm meeting a modern, well equiped kitchen. It was warm and comfortable and a pleasure to return to after long days out viewing the surrounding area. If you have a lot of outdoor gear like we do there is plenty of storage space for bikes, boots, outdoor clothing etc. The tennis court was an added bonus and being able to explore the grounds and walk up to a fantastic view behind the accommodation was a real bonus. We felt that the owners really did care about their guests and it was also great to be able to read a bit about the history of Noddsdale House and the families. There were also some interesting DVDs and board games which we did use because we had a couple of rainy days where we spent the evening inside. In terms of the local area it was fantastic. We had never been to Largs before so did not know what to expect. Largs itself was a lovely seaside town with a long promenade and if they gave out awards for the town with the most seating along the promenade and parks, Largs would win it hands down. We had great fish and chips and the Blue Lagoon, and enjoyed cycling to Largs to get the ferry to Cumbrae where we cycled the island and saw the smallest cathedral in the UK. We stopped off for a game of crazy golf too and purchased some fine Gin from a local shop. Cycling the other way took us to Wemyss which has the most picturesque station imaginable. From Wemyss we caught the Ferry to Bute which we liked so much that we did it a second time. There are also some great walks around Largs itself which all have amazing view points. Being keen swimmers, for us, a trip to Vikengar! Leisure centre was a must. The early morning lane swimming was very quiet (2 swimmers per double lane) and a great price - just £10 for a family. I am used to swimming about 16 per lane at my local pool so just sharing such a large lane with one other swimmer was amazing. On the Isle of Bute we did see people swimming in the sea, but I had not thought to take my swimming gear as I didn't think it would be warm or calm enough, but it was. This area and the accomodation has so much to offer that it is defintely on our 'we would like to come back' list.

The Bell Loft is a beautiful apartment. It is a home from home and has everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Great beds and duvets, all kitchen equipment and everything you could need throughout, books and games etc. Very clean everywhere.
Jane, the owner is friendly, helpful and makes you feel very comfortable and welcome.
The grounds are beautiful, as are the views and great walks right from the doorstep.
We will return and definitely recommend a stay here.

We had stayed previously at one of the Estate`s other properties and had high expectations of Bell Loft. We wee not disappointed. The apartment is large, well appointed and extremely comfortable. The surroundings are lovely and there is a super view at times when Scotland allows! We hope to return next year.

This is a really incredible place - we stayed for 2 nights and had a great time. Jane and Chris made sure to welcome us personally and were really helpful, providing local knowledge and recommendations. The property itself is only 5 mins outside Largs and is part of a larger house set in beautiful grounds - including a tennis court that we had fun using. We definitely hope to return at some point.

Exactly the right place to stay when visiting relatives. Comfortable, cosy ( it was a bit chilly in Largs that week), a well stocked kitchen, a fireplace, a plethora of towels, fresh flowers, umbrellas, AND biscuits! What’s not to like?
The view was stupendous and the grounds very pretty. We didn’t try the tennis court but it was there. We did use the Scrabble board with our grandson. We also made good use of the coffee machine and the radio was already tuned to Radio 4.
We had a great stay.

We came back. What better recommendation could there be?! A great base for visiting local islands, gardens, historic houses, etc. Stay and cook at home or visit one of the plentiful eating places. Good internet connection if you want that. All the major supermarkets will deliver there. And a log fire too!

We recently spent 10 days at the Bell Loft & would happily have stayed longer. The accommodation is very clean & well presented. Tastefully decorated & furnished, with comfy beds, lovely bedlinen & quality duvets, towels, crockery etc. The kitchen is fab & has everything you could possibly need including a Nespresso! Tea, coffee & other basics like salt, olive oil, as well as a vase of flowers & home made biscuits to greet us. Everything worked, we felt comfortable, relaxed & safe, it's a perfect retreat, whilst only 5 minutes by car or taxi into Largs. We had great weather & loved walking from the door, up through the grounds to enjoy the wonderful views & tranquil setting. Jane & her family made us feel very welcome & we hope to return.

We stayed for a week in Bell Loft on the Noddsdale Estate just a few mins outside of Largs. The accommodation was first class - warm, comfortable, high standard and so thoughtfully presented.
The Noddsdale Estate is just 5 mins drive from the centre of Largs with its ferry to Cumbrae and proximity to Arran, Bute and Glasgow. Lovely walks from the estate and two superb golf courses within a short drive.
The owners could not have been more helpful and we even had access to their private tennis court.
We highly recommend Bell Loft and as a family who had not been to Scotland before we had a wonderful time and hope to return.

We stayed Mon-Fri and had a great time. We had a very warm greeting from the hosts upon arrival which was a great start. Not only is the property beautiful (the inside is a clever fusion of period feel with modern gadgetry), but there was lots nearby to keep us entertained. We spent a lot of time on the tennis courts (rackets and balls all available in the porch to help yourself to), and there is a beautiful walk up the hillside with some beautiful views.

Lovely flat in beautiful grounds looking down to the sea and Scottish islands. The flat has everything you could need and Jane, the host, made us very welcome. We had a lovely time. This is a great base for visiting Great Cumbrae, the Isle of Bute and the South West of the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park

Definitely a luxury rental. The flat was very clean and very well equipped, and we felt well looked after throughout our stay. The sea view is gorgeous. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and easy to use. Thick and thirsty bath towels were provided, and the beds and linens were superb. We slept better than at home. TV and internet connections were easy and good. We were looking for outdoor activities, and there were plenty for our two week stay. The grounds of the estate are absolutely beautiful and well maintained. Highly recommend!

Having been frequent guests in the Granary at Noddsdale over many years, we chose the Bell Loft this year. As we fully expected, it was presented to the same extremely high standards that we have come to expect at Noddsdale and we were not disappointed. The entire apartment is a delight, beautifully maintained, spotlessly clean, fully equipped and a delight to stay in. We are already planning our return to Noddsdale.

This was our second stay at Noddsdale, but our first stay in the Bell Loft.
Like the Granary, the Bell Loft is spacious and very well-equipped for our family of three.

Highlights are 2 bathrooms in the Bell Loft, but a superb view of Great Cumbrae from the Granary.
Mrs Evans is delightful to deal with: always very friendly and thoughtful.

Our family visited Scotland for the first time this September and we were recommended to stay at Noddsdale. As there were 5 of us we stayed in the Bell Loft which had a lovely homey ambiance with the welcoming homemade shortbread and flowers. Loved sitting around the fireplace and relaxing. Beautiful rooms, décor and grounds of the estate which we hiked up in the morning to see beautiful views of Largs. Great base for exploring the area. Took a day trip to the Isle of Mull to see Rothesay Castle and Mount Stuart house. Jane made us feel very welcome in her lovely home. Wished we could have stayed longer and will highly recommend a stay here. We hope to return again!

We booked Noddsdale Estate on the weekend of our wedding, for some family to stay and use as a "Groom Base" on the morning of the wedding. Everything was splendid - Jane was very helpful and accommodating by email from the moment we made the booking. Her mother Elspeth looked after us when we arrived on Friday evening and made sure we were happy.

Thanks so much - would definitely stay here again!

Our family met here for 2 nights in August to eat, walk and talk. The Bell Loft was the perfect location. The setting is stunning with views across to the Islands and the Loft so comfortable. Comfy beds, beautifully equipped kitchen with everything we would need and a cosy fire to curl up to as the rain fell outside in the evening. We were welcomed so warmly and the living room was perfumed with Phlox fresh from the garden.
Thank-you! We would certainly recommend staying here although we would like to keep it to ourselves....

Just had a wonderful week with our two teenage daughters, beautiful apartment, so comfortable, very restful, great to relax n read our books. Cycle round Cumbrae and Gourock outdoor pool great. Hope to return to Noddsdale.

Cool but qiuite dry, green hills, daffodils, hyacinth, and spectacular views up the hill at the back of the house. Most complete kitchen I've come across in self catering. A wonderful stay!

Our second stay in the Bell Loft - it is a gem! The property is well equipped and comfortable the log fire makes the place so cosy. Scenery is stunning - Largs itself sits right on the Clyde and makes a perfect base to explore other areas. Jane, Chris and Jane's parents are just delightful people, really welcoming and friendly. We spend a lovely Christmas there, Jane had added some festive touches - so thoughtful and unexpected. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lovely apartment to others.

The accommodation at the Bell Loft is excellent and I would recommend it to others. Great location close to town whilst still being in the country/glen. Great facilities for a family or those looking for some peace and quiet whilst retaining the ability to go into Largs for any necessities.

Jane and her parents were most welcoming .The house is in a stunning location and sitting out in the gardens until late in the evening was very relaxing , with wonderful views over Largs and out to the Islands.
Everything was perfect and very well presented .
Our son left something behind , and Jane very kindly emailed us and posted the item back to us.
Nothing was too much trouble.
I am sure we will be staying there again sometime in the future, and would highly recommended this property to anyone planning to visit the area.

This was the second time we had stayed at Noddsdale, previously we were in the East Wing. It is truly a home from home. Everything that you could possibly need is there from teaspoons to roaring log fires. A stunning house in a stunning setting and the owners are extremely friendly and do everything they can to make sure your stay is memorable. We found the East Wing was perfect for a summer break with it's fantastic views and the Bell Loft offers you a warm, cosy winter retreat. I would heartily recommend Noddsdale to people looking for a relaxing away-from-it-all holiday.

Had a lovely time at this beautiful cottage. A warm welcome from the owner and fresh flowers and homemade shortbread waiting for us. The rooms are nice and cosy and beds comfy. Ther is a tennis court and lovely walks around the impressive gardens. Great place to go for a relaxing time away.

Noddsdale Estate is perfectly located just outside of the busy town of Largs (weekends) and commands a wonderful view over the neighbouring island. The house itself is embedded in a carefully maintained garden and even offers a tennis court. The Loft itself is spotless, everything appears to be new and is in perfect working condition. It is also fully equipped, including plenty of firewood.
We enjoyed the walks on the estate behind the house and the excursions to Dean Castel, Culzean Castle, Arran Island and Brodick Castle - all within easy reach of Noddsdale.
A memorable stay in Scotland that we hope soon to repeat !

I can't say enough nice things about this apartment-we have stayed a number of times and have never had any problems at all. The family is warm and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. It is so peaceful,comfortable and well equipped - nothing is left to chance. The shortbread provided by Jane is a lovely touch - we always look forward to it whilst on the M8 ( and before!)

Yes, we were back!!
Last year with all the flowers and lambs in spring time and now with those beautiful autumn colours. Noddsdale is lovely whenever you come! Our daughter is studying in Glasgow for 4 months and she came over with a friend in the weekend and slept like princesses on those boxspring beds in their own room with a bathroom. So nice to be together again in the cosy Bell Loft. We enjoyed the stunning view from uphill on the estate behind the house and the family of phaesants around the house. But the best family of all are Elspeth, Peter, Jane and Chris, they make our stay extra special, thank you for the lovely evenings and the shortbread! We are still grateful for the chance we had 31 years ago to live in one of the cottages on the estate, the best time of our life! Thank you Chris for showing us and explaining the hydro scheme. Keep up the good work!

Glasgow is very much worth visiting and do make a roadtrip with the small ferry from Gourock to Dunoon – Loch Eck – Inveraray – Loch Awe with Kilchurn Castle – Dalmally - Tyndrum – Tarbet (with the cosy tearoom behind the hotel) – Loch Lomond (stop at Luss to enjoy the view) – Erskine Bridge – Greenock – Largs. You can do it in one day. In the summer you can make a detour near Dalmally via Glen Orchy to see some more of the Highlands. Dark too soon now.

We will be back, hopefully for 2 weeks, a good place to relax and there is still lots more to explore!!

Charming house in a lovely setting. Being slightly outside Largs was not at all inconvenient--and beautifully pastoral. We really enjoyed hiking up into the hills right behind the house--gorgeous views. Extremely hospitable hosts--flexible & accommodating to our large group. Very well equipped modern kitchen & baths, comfy beds...a delightful stay!

The Bell Loft has been converted into a beautiful self contained unit comprising a combined lounge, dining area and kitchen (which all works extremely well), two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Bell Loft is very well equipped and there is a fridge and dishwasher in the kitchen and full laundry facilities in the separate laundry room.
The most amazing aspect of the Bell Loft is that it is part of a beautiful old house with fantastic gardens.
Jane and her parents are extremely charming people and very helpful.
This is a real home from home in a great location for walking and general sightseeing.
We would also recommend The Catch at Fins restaurant in Fairlie and Scotts restaurant at Largs marina for those wanting a nice meal out.

This was our second visit. There were beautiful flowers, coal for making our own fire - it can get a bit chilly so a nice touch. It was great to have good quality hand wash by each sink and nice thick towels.
The kitchen was very well stocked and there were many thoughtful extras such as delicious homemade shortbread.
The place was spotless and homely.

We had a great stay at the Bell Loft. It is very comfortable but retains the character of being part of an historic building. Lots of extras provided - from the welcome milk and shortbread to plenty of towels, tea and coffee and everything you could need in the kitchen! Bonus having a tennis court available too. We had a very friendly welcome and would thoroughly recommend to others. Hope to return in future.

This is such a lovely place. Peaceful, and beautiful location. Suberb, and comfortable accommodation. With extremely nice hosts. It was exactly the right place for our two night family gathering. A fabulous place, which I would really like to keep secret for future visits. An example to others of how holiday lettings should be.

We all had a brilliant week in The Bell Loft. We were up in Largs to sail in the GP14 National Championships and the apartment was perfect for our needs. The accommodation was very clean, comfy and the kitchen had every utensil we could think of.

We had clean and dry kit thanks to the laundry facilities and the kindness of the owners who let us dry it inside the main house by the aga!

The house is a little way out of Largs but the taxi fares were cheap enough and the grounds were delightful.

We will definitely come back when the nationals are next in Largs and I'd recommend it to anyone else thinking about a holiday in the Largs area.

The Bell Loft, how exciting!!
We returned once again to Noddsdale to celebrate the fact that we lived on the estate 30 years ago in one of the cottages. Those were very special 10 months we will never forget.

5 years ago we stayed for the 4th time in the lovely East Wing with the spectacular view. The renovation of the Bell Loft looked very promising, what a good idea! 5 years later we were very curious to see the result and we loved it immediately!! A very cosy and very comfortable home, also on a rainy day. Settle down in front of the fireplace and read a book, time to relax! Or in the lovely garden on a sunny day and we had lots of them.
Our daughter came for a few days and had her own bedroom and bathroom, so the Bell Loft is also very suitable for 2 couples. Internet to keep in touch with the outside world and a complete kitchen, I cannot think of anything that wasn't there.

Enjoy the beautiful estate, flowers everywhere when we were there, go for walks, also in the Glen, the views are great especially uphill. If you like to play tennis, the court is at your doorstep.

We thank Peter, Elspeth, Jane and Chris very much for their very kind hospitality, can't wait to come again, it feels like coming home everytime. Hopefully in one year if Fenna may study in Glasgow!! Let's keep our fingers crossed.
Be proud of what you have achieved, it is a dream to spend your holiday like this.

The location was great not too far from the town and in such tranquil surroundings. House was beautiful, furniture was very comfortable, everything was so clean, and the owners were very kind. Everything was spot on.

We found the Bell Loft to be the finest self catering accomodation that we have stayed at.
We were made to feel very welcome by the owners and nothing was too much trouble for them to help us.
The location is superb in a private estate with views across the Clyde to Great Cumbrae and Arran.
The facilities were excellent - even a tennis court if you were a player - and the grounds of the house were beautiful and secluded.
The house is very attractive in design with many unique small details that a good Architect would employ.
We were sorry to leave, but all good things must come to an end!

We stay at the Bell Loft regularly and regard it as our home from home in Scotland. The setting is ideal and the property just perfect. We would highly recommend.
