We enjoyed a lovely stay at the end of August. The house is perfect and in a very quiet location with great hosts. It is a great location for touring beautiful Connemara and close to the ferry to the islands also.
20 of us stayed at SUNNYBANK for a week to celebrate our Golden Wedding with an age range of 2 to 82. The house and surrounging area met with all our needs. The house provided excellent accommodation and amenities with plenty of room to accommodate our party. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their stay and would not hesitate to recommend SUNNYBANK to friends and family as a superb venue for a holiday or any celebration. Shane was most courteous and very helpful during our stay. Just wonderful!
Wonderful place, very clean and very big. We loved it very much. The area is a bit on the country side, however, lots of natural nice regions to explore.
We booked this accommodation because of the connemarathon en stayed here with two young children. After a long nightly journey from Dublin, the arrival was warm with home-made bread, wine and a filled refridgerator. The location was perfect in the middle of the centre. One, minor, detail could be the heating/cooling systems on the roof which might prevent you from opening the window during the night), however we did not find it very disturbing.
We had a great stay at Sycamore Cottage. We had stayed in different places on three previous trips but this was the best. There was just the two of us and Bruce the dog. The cottage looked great on the website and we were not disappointed. The cottage was spotless and had everything you might need. The bed was comfy and the heat from the Staney stove in the kitchen was incredible and warmed the whole place. The location was perfect just five mins drive to Clifden and two mins of this is down a small laneway. The dog loved meeting the donkeys and horses further down the lane. We got the Netflix...more
Benglenisky is a perfect house for your holiday. Great location! 5 minutes to Clifden and 3 mins to Ballynahinch Castle coffee hut. Great coffee and hot chocolate for kids. Galway city is only 50 mins away. The house is very clean and has everything you need for your stay. My kids loved it! Safe and peaceful for playing out side. Peter and Sheila are amazing hosts and had everything I needed the day I moved in. Wine, water, milk, coffee, chocolate biscuits! Thank you so much and I look forward to staying at Benglenisky house again! Brian.
A lovely spotlessly clean house with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Ideal location to explore Connemara, its gorgeous beaches, and nearby Clifden.
We loved this holiday home, it was stunning, a beautiful house is a magical location. Everything about it was perfect
Wonderful property in superb location. Delighted with its home from home facilities and perfect situation. Would love to rebook in the future
Has everything you need for a Break in Connemara. Lovely and warm & really close to the beach. Our host had left us the essentials (including a bottle of prosecco) and enough firewood / turf to last the 1st night. It was perfect for 2 families and we all really enjoyed ourselves
Accommodations were lovely and in the perfect location. Clean, comfortable with all the comforts of home.
Had a lovely stay in Bruion apartment, was a well needed time out, in a well kitted out apartment, it had everything I needed. Surrounded by beautiful beaches, fresh air and dramatic country side, what more would you ask for!
This holiday home must rank among the best in Connemara. One counterargument: we wanted to stay longer but couldn't :-)
A cosy cabin in an idyllic location, with a path to the shore (if you choose to swim there) and only 5-6km from several beautiful sandy beaches. The welcome is warm, the surrounding land with granite, gorse, heather and native plants is sensitively managed. Plenty of towels and an interesting book shelf, all in the most private setting, and within walking distance of shops and pubs. One couldn't ask for better
A wonderful place to relax, and in comfort enjoy the sea and views outside whatever the weather does
Myself and my family really enjoyed our stay in Kill house. For an old grand house it was so warm and comfortable and we had to turn the heat down at the rads! The kids loved the size of the house and all the space for hide and seek . We had a fabulous 5 days
Our family of 7 loved our time at Sceach Bhan. From the moment we walked through the doors we couldn’t believe the amazing warmth and comfort of the home as well as the incredible views of the bay. The living room and beds couldn’t have been more comfortable. Every comfort of home was thought about and ready for us — hot showers, towel warmers, espresso, laundry detergent, and more. We truly felt at home. And the area…. Wow! We couldn’t get enough of the beauty in the area. Our only wish is that there was more time! We would definitely come back and stay here again. Thank you for the amazing ...more
Riverview is located within an easy walk of Clifden town and all restaurants, shops, bars etc. The apartment was spotlessly clean & the owner thoughtfully left a litre of milk & a slab butter in the fridge. Also a delicious homemade brown bread. All linen, towels, pillows & duvets were crisp, clean & of luxury quality. Additional extras were left for our use e.g., pump soap in both bathrooms; Fairy liquid at the kitchen sink: tea towels & kitchen towel: tea bags, a variety of herbal teas & a specialised coffee maker. Tin foil & cling film & plastic bags for rubbish disposal. So many wonderful ...more
We stayed at Atlantic Sunset for two weeks with family coming and going, some of whom we hadn’t seen for a few covid years. Lovely place to stay. No wi-fi, which is a plus as it made us relax more and have conversations. Fully functioning everything. Lots of kitchenware. Cleggan has a nice seafood restaurant which we visited quite often. Also went to Clifden for food and music, great. Weather wasn’t too good but did not detract from the stay. The Abbey outside Letterfrack is a must to visit. Ground great to walk around. Would highly recommend this holiday home. A little out of the way but ther...more
The house was stunning, loads of space for dinning and enjoyed sitting in the large sitting room together. Wonderful views from the dinning table. A beautiful designed house. Would love to go back in the Summer!
I loved my holiday in Clifden Court it was so modern and clean and had everything you could possibly need. Only problem was I only had a week...
A wonderful cottage with plenty of space. Amazing views and lovely hosts, everything you could need.
The property is in a gorgeous location and the views are amazing. The property itself was very comfortable. Our only criticism was we felt the en-suite bathrooms both needed a better cleaning and also the extractor fan in the kitchen. It would also be helpful if a couple of dishwasher and washing machine tablets were left in the house just to tide people over. We would have no hesitation in renting the property again.
Hillside House is beautifully located and extremely clean and cared for, the wood burner stove was the best I've ever had dealings with, and the host was responsive and positive. However, when I arrived after a 30-hour day and 20 hours of international travel, the house was freezing cold. I turned on the heat for the two hours there were instructions for, and after those two hours, the temperature in the kitchen was still only 14C, and the house was damp. I decided to watch TV for distraction and discovered that none of the channels were tuned in and nothing worked. Then I thought I'd make a f...more
Stunning location. Clean comfortable large rooms. Loads of communal space. Host very obliging and helpful.
What a wonderful stay we had at Once Upon A tide. My wife and our children with their spouses and children had plenty of room. The house was very comfortable with location to Clifden Village and the views overlooking the Atlantic Ocean were perfect.
We had a wonderful stay at Hillview House. It is in the perfect location and we were able to explore the area without ever being too far from our base. The house itself was clean and cosy, especially when the stove was lit. Highly recommended!
Our host could not have done more for us. Tina and Liam were very welcoming and had left us a welcome pack which was well received. She gave us a great surprise for dinner one evening of Cray Fish, The house was well kitted out and the outdoor furniture was great for the evening drinks (excluding the midgets). The house is a bit off the main Clifden Road but we found no difficulties in getting used to the road. .
Perfect place for a large group. 5 rooms with separate beds and en-suite in every room. Right in the middle of the town with lots of free parking nearby. Pubs restaurants literally 30 secs walk from the front door
I had a great long weekend in Coastguards. Everything was perfect. Welcome pack & Halloween treats. The fire was left ready - just had to light it. Everything you need is in the house. The Coastguards is a great location straight beside the village (shop) & beach. Amazing views.
The house is super comfortable with everything one could need . The bedrooms and beds very comfortable. Sitting areas with superb views . The beach is a dream and super safe for my grandchildren . One couldn’t find better accommodation anywhere.
Excellent loads of space and so safe for children ..Fabulous views .would recommend it to anyone especially with children .
This is the perfect venue for a large family get together - lots of bedrooms and bathrooms, a huge kitchen, games room, cosy lounge with open fire, views to die for.
we had a lovely stay with our friends with children. good location away from main road, close to few nice walks through the countryside. beautiful lakes nearby. the house has everything what you need. would highly recommend!
The apartment was spotless and everything (washing machine, hoover, kitchen hob, oven...) functioned very well. The shower pressure was outstandingly good! :) even when both showers were in use. Ample towels were provided but of course we brought our own for the beach. A few things should be noted: 1- This is a 3 bedroom apartment with 4 double beds. ie- there are no single beds. Except for the pull out bed in the living room which, if used would probably make everything a bit cramped. We were 2 adults and 2 teens so it worked out brilliantly for us; the teens shared a room and each adult h...more
Absolutely loved the Baybridge house, such a stunning house and amazing views. Greaf outdoor area too. The house is outside of Clifden so a car is definitely required.
This is a beautiful property. So clean and comfortable ( and gorgeous fresh scones to greet you). The views from the property are breathtaking. Three very spacious bedrooms. In the bathroom a separate bath and shower and hot water all day long. The kitchen is very spacious and has all that you need for any baking requirements. Loads of space outside for the children to play or sit outside with a glass of wine and enjoy the view. the location is off the main road and you would need a car to stay in this property as it is between Barna and Spiddal. We stayed there for 2 nights with 3 older child...more
I would recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a very convenient and central location in Clifden and was in excellent condition - really enjoyed our stay!
Great house in a peaceful location. Bit far out for some of the places we wanted to visit but we knew this before booking. Kathleen the owner was great, she responded to any questions we had and recommended some local things to visit which we really enjoyed. Balinrobe is only few mins away for shops and take aways etc.. all in all great time had.
The apartment is perfect, very clean and spacious. Restaurants and supermarket are 4' walk away. It is surprising to have the city so close because, in the apartment, we are really in nature: very quiet, wild, the sea in front of the windows. A big thank you to Helen for her welcome. We will come back with pleasure
Met by Olive who was available at all times if needed. Thankfully we didn't have a problem. Very warm and friendly host. The house is spotlessly clean, very roomy, and has everything one would need, and more. Beds very comfortable. The views from the house would hold their own with anywhere in the world. Simply stunning. The area is quiet but with bars/restaurants a short drive away ( transport essential ). The nearby Glassinaun beach is pristine and the water crystal clear, set against the backdrop of majestic Mweelrea mountain. Great value for money and highly recommended. ...more
Lovely very spacious comfortable cosy house. Had a lovely comfortable stay recently. great kitchen. My friends enjoyed also Delighted it's pet friendly had my dog with me a very spacious garden. I'd stay again.
Very comfortable stay. House very clean. Bedrooms all good size. Living space/kitchen small but functional. Good value for money. If I was to pick a downside no services, shop etc within walking distance. But that's only a small downside.
We absolutely enjoyed our stay in White Thorn House near Clifden. The landscape around the house is absolutely stunning and we could visit lots of fantastic places. The house is well equipped with everything we needed. We could definitely consider coming back and staying in White Thorn House again. Therefore we can absolutely recommend it.
We enjoyed our stay at the Uplands The location and views from the holiday home are Lovely Very close to some lovely beaches There were two of us staying but it was a very large house lots of space for family Very comfortable bed and very quiet for a good nights sleep
Nice quiet area centrally located. Ideal for dog walks. Poor internet service at house due to mountain in background. Brid was an excellent caretaker of the property. Good value for money
We spent a wonderful stay in Clifden! The appartment is well located in the little town, It is very beautiful and comfortable.
we enjoyed our stay. 88888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888
Our Host, Patsy, was very welcoming on arrival and on hand should we have needed anything during our stay. Everything one could want in a 'home from home' was provided for and Spiddal Cottage was cosy and perfect for three adults. From the house, it was a ten minute walk to the village and fifteen to the beach and small pier. We were very happy with our few days stay at Spiddal Cottage and would have no issue recommending it.
Lovely situated house, far from people and other houses, close to another beautiful spots. Huge house, very well supplied. Gorgeous view from each bedroom. Easy contact with owner.
Lovely little cottage with everything you need for wonderful holiday. The staff were very helpful and I would strongly recommend the property
Wonderful stay in Ballyconneely at the end of August. Great location, within walking distance of Keoghs pub and supermarket. Great base for touring Connemara, and amazing beaches on your doorstep.
Couldn't fault this house. Enjoyed the spacious interior and expansive beauty beyond. The endless sunsets. Wifi in the area is a problem but not an issue when away from it all for a week with lovely weather. The owner very helpful and diligent. Didn't want to leave!
We were very pleased with the layout and location of this nicely furnished and well equipped house. Mary was a most welcoming and helpful hostess.
We had a lovely time in Ballinakill Lodge. Great location. Kitchen very well equipped. Bedrooms very spacious and comfortable. One suggestion would be to have some more armchairs or couches in the dining room as there is not enough seating for all in the evenings after dinner other than staying at the dining table.
Second year coming to coral strand No complaints , everything was perfect and host is only next door if needed 100% recommend this holiday home to anyone who wants a superb home and even better location
2 families stayed 7 nights. Beautiful peoperty with everything you could need. The propieter was very helpful when needed but be honest everything is at hand. excellent location 10 minutes walk to the village which is delightful. Only a 15 min drive to Clifden if you need other provisions. Highly recommended.
This was our 3rd time letting this property and it was simply wonderful. The property is so well located with pubs, shops and restaurants on our doorstep. The house is 'homely', with a real lived in feel to it, slightly worn in places but very comfortable and we get great enjoyment from it. Would highly recommend it as a hub from which to enjoy Clifden and Connemara.
All excellent! The owner was very helpful and pleasant. Very neat and tidy bungalow in first class condition. Lovely location with views over Galway bay. Short walk to nearest beach and many other beaches to explore and a short drive into Galway. Could not ask for a better holiday location or nicer bungalow! And we had good weather!
everything was perfect. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. we had a slight problem with the outer gate key but staff was on site immediately to solve the problem.
Nice beaches nearby! Cute town of Clifden, short drive. Decent shopping and nice restaurants with fresh seafood, really good! Cottage was clean with all necessary amenities. I would suggest new bedwear and linens/towels. Great peace and quiet for a good rest.
The Cottage is extremely comfortable, spacious and very well equipped in every respect. The bedrooms are beautifully presented and on arrival we were delighted to find a bottle of Prosecco and home baked bread awaiting us, as well as a welcome note offering any assistance required. It is in an excellent location for exploring Connemara and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
This is our 6th year staying here at Xmas we love this apartment perfect location too Well equipped, bed very comfortable
For what you pay the house is not properly fitted out. No changes made to the house in the last few years but the rent increased this year by €300! En-suite door does not close without a bang and no hooks for any towels. Excellent house and location but property needs updating.
We had a wonderful time in this home. It was perfect for our 2 dogs (quiet, no cars and large enclosed area outside). Our 3 big kids really loved the place - good beds, excellent WiFi, beautiful views, lovely walks (recommend Inishnee loop which is literally on your doorstep), gorgeous beaches nearby, lovely village of Roundstone with lovely eating places and the highlight was a boat trip around island with the house owner, John. We all loved our time there! Didn’t want to leave!
Well equipped bungalow with fine views across fields to the sea and islands. 10 minute walk to Cleggan down a cart track (when we arrived, WAZE sent us up this track. Do not make this mistake - it cost us a tyre and we had to reverse out). Cleggan is a good base to explore this spectacularly beautiful area.
We had a fabulous stay in the old school hse, the rooms are huge with so much space for everyone. We loved the oldness and the character of the house. The cooker is quite dated but it encouraged us to eat out. Which is fantastic in clifden, there is so much choice. And the children loved going down to the super valu every morning to get the fresh croissants. Which were amazing. All in all this place has it all and location is fantastic.
Ballinahinch Manor is a lovely spot to stay and so convenient located, close enough to Clifden for shopping, with abundant walks and cycling right at the doorstep. The house itself is cosy, comfortable and very well maintained and equipped. We'd certainly stay there again.
We had a lovely week in Cushatrough, house is well located close to great beaches while only being a 10 minute drive to Clifden. House has a great view of the water which photos of the house don’t give justice too. The house was the perfect size for us (family of 5)
The welcome pack had details in relation to the hot water, not the same system as in the house only there for 2 days for a wedding and could not have a shower on the day of the wedding.
