Beechnut is a brilliant property with its very attractive and comfortable furniture and fittings. It is really warm and cosy and is also well equipped. I loved the lake, surrounding beautiful woods and nut orchards which make for great walks. The owners and their staff could not be more helpful. It was a dream come true for me.

Didn’t want to leave. Quiet. Comfortable. Warm. Well equipped. Not stingy with tea towels, dish washer tablets or fire wood (which has been the case at other places). Such a lovely and inspiring location. Also a good base for visiting other places.
Well sign-posted (but the actual entrance is hard to see at night).
We are making our plans to stay again.

We stayed in the Beechnut Cottage for three nights to attend our son and daughter-in-law’s wedding. The cottage was immaculate and equipped with everything you could need. The farm was a perfect setting for the wedding. It is in a very picturesque location and well maintained, with lots of walks and activities available. Mon was a fabulous host.

We have previously stayed in Chestnut, and decided to try Beechnut this time. It's a lovely cottage, ideal for a couple. We arrived on the hottest day of the year to find one of the radiators stuck on, however the owners were quickly on the case trying to mitigate the issue, and a plumber fixed it permanently the next morning. We love the courtyard and the grounds. The owners and son are lovely to talk to.
We hope to visit again in the near future, maybe for a winter stay.

Winters at the farm are also special as the open fireplaces and unlimited firewood come into play plus the grounds are as stunning in the winter and great for fresh brisk walks followed by cake and fire in the cottage, rest assured the heating is great in winter!

The cottage and surroundings were superb , such a lovely location away from the hustle of the holiday traffic.
We walked and explored the area as guided by the owners , the local pubs and restaurants were great .
The Boxing Hare and the Joiners Arms particularly good .
The accommodation was quaint and picturesque , our last night was spent sitting in the lounge with log fire and some wine, the weather had turned. Our walking day was just lovely the countryside is just beautiful, walking in the woods and across public bridleways.

Heath Farm is a lovely peaceful place to unwind, there are so many facilities it's hard to mention them all, Pool table, books, musical instruments, wild swimming, croquet lawn, forest to play in, films, games to mention a few, we stayed in Beechnut which was warm, comfortable and a little quirky, the amazing shower and spring water on tap were outstanding, unfortunately we had a cold week and weren't able to make the most of the beautiful courtyard to sit in of an evening. Heath farm's location is in easy reach of so many attractions, we walked every day and stand out visits were Cirencester Museum for the Roman artefacts and Chedworth Roman villa with incredible mosaics.

Heath Farm is an excellent location for a stay. Beechnut cottage is comfortable, spacious and has all the tools for self-catering. The walk-in shower is a plus for those that have challenges getting in or our of a tub. The town is a short distance away to get supplies for lunches and dinner.

Heathfarm is an amazing place to relax and unwind. Beechnut cottage has everything you need to be able to relax and soak up the glorious surrounding. The cottage is well equipped and has a super comfortable bed and wonderful log fire, if the weather turns chilly. The cleanliness of the cottage was brilliant with attention to detail obvious.
Heathfarm itself is set in a beautiful part of the Cotswolds and boasts a fishing lake and extensive grounds for walks to take in the views. There is a play field with lots of equipment for young and old to enjoy outdoor sports and even a play barn full
of “everything” you can think of to spend a few hours in during your stay.
The crowing glory of Heathfarm are the family owners who cannot do enough for you in order for your stay to be truly memorable. Their genuine warm welcome, and care for detail, in order for you to enjoy your stay is beyond five stars!

A wonderful 10 days stay.
Cake and granola yummy plus cottage was well stocked with toiletries and kitchen items.
Flowers in cottage were nice on our arrival. Gardens and courtyard well kept..
Staff and family very friendly and helpful.
Morning walks around property, saw deer, red kites, squirrels, rabbits and a buzzard..

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Heath Farm. Super clean cottage with quality furnishings and linens. The bed was most comfortable.
Heath Farm is family owned and operated. We were made to feel valued and very welcome. Set in 70 acres we were free to explore and walk the various pathways.
We ate at Duck on the Pond pub just nearby. Falkland Arms Great Tew and Deddingbury Arms. All excellent meals and can recommend.
If you choose to stay at Heath Farm you wont be disappointed. You will be warm and comfortable with plenty of towns and villages to visit in the area.

I was really impressed with the Beechnut cottage. The attention to detail and thoughtful use of available space was excellent. The power shower was a great addition and the general cleanliness could not be faulted. The courtyard and immediate surroundings were well laid out, very accessible and the availability of local produce was a great asset. Having spring water "on tap" was a first for me and I must admit a great asset. The availability of an electric car charge point was also a must for me. I have definitely earmarked Heath Farm for my future stays in this area of the country.

Thank you so much for highlighting the spring water on tap we have. It's sometimes hard to convince guests not to bring bottled water and although we're Gold standard by Green Tourism there's a fine balance between encouraging guests to adopt green policies and not being too puritanical! Great to hear your comments about the E.V charger too. Do please note it's much better value to take longer breaks with us (another Green Tourism policy!)

We have just returned from a week in January staying at Beechnut, the cottage is perfect in every way and has everything you need plus special touches of fresh flowers and a delicious cake from the on-site bakery. We made full use of the log fire every evening which added to the atmosphere after some bracing walks along the Cotswold Way. We also explored the 70 acres of the estate which has everything including a flying strip for model aircraft which we made use of.The cottage is very well placed to explore the Cotswolds which is less busy at this time of year and the friendly owners are on hand to help out if needed. Highly Recommended.

Myself, wife and 5 month old had a wonderful stay at Heath Farm in the Beechnut cottage. A high chair and cot was supplied at no cost along with additional towels and bedding. Type 2 7KW EV charging was at my disposal for no additional cost.
Beautiful grounds including nut, pear and apple orchards and we were also welcome to pick raspberries as well as the other fruit.

It gives us great pleasure when our guests have such a great time and appreciate the small touches such as our free produce and free use of the E.V charger. As part of Green Tourism we do all we can to be as environmentally conscious possible and to hopefully impart positive outcomes onto guests. We taken on board the slight mark down in condition of the cottage. We've finally (first time since April) got 3 days spare so that we can go into the cottage and fix the slow leak we've had in the bathroom which has discoloured the floor tiles. I'm also in the process of persuading my folks to get a new larger corner sofa for the cottage which i believe would make a great difference.

We spent a wonderful four night break in "Beechnut", one of the properties in the converted pig barn, which was very comfortable and well-equipped. The family gave us a very warm welcome and we enjoyed exploring the estate and we loved sipping drinks on the terrace with fantastic views of the lake and woods. Lots of good walks in the area and great places to eat - highly recommend staying here.

This is a lovely cottage great for a relaxing stay. Everything you need is provided and more. The owners make sure your stay is perfect and give you a great welcome to their wonderful home. You can have some wonderful walks and watch all the various wildlife - even baby deers (if your lucky)! I Cannot recommend Heathfarm highly enough - you will enjoy.

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights in Beechnut to celebrate his birthday. We arrived on a rainy night, but as soon as we walked through the door we were in awe. Beechnut felt more spacious than I expected, has lovely high ceilings and was warm and cosy. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I loved waking up to views of the paddock and sheep / pheasant / squirrels! Shower was great, and I appreciated the Faith in Nature toiletries.
Mon and family were so incredibly kind and helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
We spent our days wandering around the farm (so much to see), playing in the games room (anything you could ever want in there) and exploring nearby villages (we particularly liked Stow on the Wold and Great Tew for a wander).
The only tiny suggestions I have would be to get a mixer tap in the bathroom, as the hot tap is brutally hot - and provide cooking oil as standard (this was very kindly provided when I asked)

Thank you so much for your fantastic review! It was heartwarming to hear your positive feelings about the cottage being better than you imagined. We'd recently upgraded the lighting so that the high vaulted ceilings were highlighted better which seems to have worked! We're graded Gold by Green Tourism for all the attention we give to try to reduce waste, use environmentally friendly products as well as using biomass boilers, solar heating and firewood from our own 70 acres of woodland. The farm is a nature haven for guest and wildlife alike!
We've taken on board your comments about the hot water and will be installing a new sink with mixer taps in the New Year.
We look forward to hopefully seeing you again one day. We'd recommend staying a week next time as it's far better value for money and you can never have too much of a good thing!

We decided to spend a week in England this year due to toe pandemic so decided on Oxfordshire, as it’s a County we don’t really know. Looked on the Premier cottages website and found Heath farm cottages. The cottages looked lovely, all wooden and natural interior and just the right size for a couple.
We stayed for a week at the beginning of September and had a good time exploring the area. The owners son was very helpful in telling us about the area and another lovely touch was the home made cake waiting for us when we got there.
There were all modern conveniences in the cottage ie WiFi TV and digital radio, along with microwave and oven.
All in all a good stay and we would go back in the future.

We had another relaxing break at Heath Farm on our 9th visit. Just a couple of comments for improvement for the Beechnut; perhaps a more comfy sofa, as this is a sofa bed it’s not very comfy to spend chilled evenings in front of the fire - our favourite pastime!! Also we think the mattress could do with being replaced, you seem to gravitate to the middle of the bed!!
Considering my comments above we always have a lovely time at Heath Farm and it won’t stop us not booking up for next year for our 10th visit. David and Nena are always so welcoming and we consider we have become friends over the years and it is always lovely to see them.
Definitely worth a stay and would recommend every time.

As you as well aware we take great care and pride in making sure all our guests (especially those that return time and time again!) have everything they need for a relaxing, peaceful and comfortable stay. We've taken on board your comments regarding the sofa and bed and will investigate. The mattress was actually replaced last year and it is a £900 pocket sprung orthopedic mattress from John Lewis, it must well be the bed itself which is at fault so I will look into this immediately. With regard to the sofa bed, it was totally refurbished 4 years ago with new cushions and upholstery, this may well need to be replaced now so we will also look into this. Please also note that although we're not the cheapest place for short stays, even with your loyalty discount, it is far more cost effective for week long breaks. This is due to our high cleaning standards and cost related in preparing each cottage for guests. We look forward to seeing you again.

My partner and I spent two nights at Heath Farm, Beechnut Cottage. The perfect place to enjoy a mini-break away from the hustle and bustle of London and to celebrate my partner's BIG Birthday.
We arrived on Saturday afternoon, relished the neighbouring's farm massive fireworks display early evening and then snuggled in front of the log fire, with an unlimited supply of firework, toasting marshmallows. The rest of the time we spent exploring the grounds, admiring the well-fed sheep and nature at its best, despite the wet.
Both sad to leave on Monday, we ended up leaving a lot later than planned. Back to London, back to the race, we already started planning our return visit to Heath Farm.
Thank you to Mon for the warm hospitality. I adored the chocolate beetroot fudge cake and can admit, even though very difficult, it was better than mine.

The planning and layout of these cottages is obvious and a great deal of thought has gone into the whole setting. Bravo! The attention to creativity is followed into the cottages. All necessary amenities are to hand and the discreet help fro the owners is to hand when needed.

Grazie a un caro amico abbiamo conosciuto questo angolo di paradiso… non saprei come chiamarlo in altro modo. Stare per qualche giorno in questo luogo ha avuto su di noi un effetto, oltre che di relax, di gioia vera. Gli spazi esterni sono curatissimi con fiori, alberi, orto, laghetto e prati verdissimi (per piedi nudi) mentre l’interno è una continua sorpresa…. oltre alla comodità del letto, della sala (con caminetto!) e della cucina, la casa è piena di soluzioni architettoniche originali, a volte sorprendenti (vedi doccia in stile mudéjar) ma sempre equilibrate e soprattutto piene di “anima”.

This was our first time in England (from US) and we intentionally selected this location to make the most of the beautiful country villages throughout the Cotswolds as part of our itinerary. Heath Farm location, accommodations and generous host did not disappoint! We thoroughly enjoyed the well equipped cottage and surrounding sites/sounds of a beautifully kept farm. The cottage had everything we needed and we appreciated the homey details. Because we arrived after a week in Budapest staying in a city hotel, the country was a wonderful, relaxing, retreat. Waking up to the sound of various birds in the morning and coming back in the afternoon to see sheep grazing outside the back windows was delightful.
The location was perfect for us to take in all the local landmarks and villages of the Cotswolds, We were within minutes of grocery stores, pubs, restaurants and site seeing of every sort.
Thank you for a wonderful holiday experience. We hope to be back someday!

We stayed more than once at Beechnut Cottage this summer so this is the second review that I am writing. And I can only say that it was perfect. The cottage is charming in the way that it has been converted. It has been beautifully furnished and the kitchen well fitted out. It is a wonderful development of 5 cottages around the farmhouse, all beautifully converted with the work being done by the owner and the joinery shop that he set up to do the conversions. The central courtyard design was conceived and directed by a family member and I would think very patient workmen. The detail is outstanding with a rill running down the center that leads to a carp pool. The multicolor bricks are laid in various patterns combined with local stones make this area beautiful with the English garden plants. Comfortable seating and an umbrella table are supplied for equally outdoor living.
You must go and see for yourself.

You are correct in assuming the workmen were patient and they certainly took their time getting the courtyard and cottages just right. The bricked courtyard, rill and carp pond were the last parts to be constructed and the features of the courtyard do every bit of justice to the setting.

Beechnut is one of five cottages in this beautiful oasis of country cottages, it is entirely different from the others. It has its own style which is more Moroccan in feel than the others....oh, so charming!. Beautifully appointed, using the best appliances, fittings and furnishings. There is simply nothing that they did not think of when fitting out the kitchen.
You are welcomed in the most friendly way and you feel immediately that you belong.
I could not recommend it more and this seems to be true of others that were visiting for many were on their 3rd and one their 8th visit. We shall return as soon as possible. You must come. You too will enjoy it.

Beechnut cottage certainly has it's own unique charm with more of a Moroccan feel due mainly to the bathroom but also the terracotta tiled floor.

What an amazing place! We stayed for three nights with our 9 month old and 5 year old, there is so much to do, we didn't really need to leave the farm. There is so much to do onsite that our 5 year old was not ever bored. The accommodation is cosy, comfortable and well equipped. We will definitely be coming back for another visit :)

Very nice setting. Cottages are spacy enough, fully equiped. Somewhat difficult to keep them cool inside when it's hot (eg no outside window blinds). Beautifull garden, very nice to enjoy sunny evening barbecues. Friendly owners. Recommended.

We're sorry your comfort was compromised by the heat. we certainly got a bit caught out by the extended heatwave we've had this summer. We've now purchased some fans for the cottages after another recent guest had similar problems in one of the other cottages. We've also added it to our cottage details of extras that can be requested free of charge. If we had known after your first night that the heat was an issue we could have supplied you with a fan to help cool the room a bit. We'll also take a look at your idea of shuttered windows as it is a feature in two of the other cottages (Walnut & Chestnut). We will also feed back to our cleaners regarding the cleanliness rating given as we do pride ourselves on high standards which may well not have been kept to with your visit.
If you do decide on a return visit again some day do make sure you state that you are a returning guest as we offer a loyalty discount plus we'll do something special for you to make up for the slip on our usually high standards of cleanliness.

Heath Farm and our hosts, Mon and his family, could not have made us more welcome and Heath Farm exceeded our expectations by miles!
Our cottage was Beechnut which is absolutely beautiful. We were amazed and delighted by how thoughtful our hosts were. Often, when staying in self-catering accommodation, you have to supply your own essentials like washing up liquid! This is not the case at Heath Farm. Absolutely everything you need for a perfect stay has been provided, even dishwasher tablets, napkins and herbs. The list is endless. Anything and everything you needed was there.
On arrival I asked where I could put my bike. No problem, and Mon showed me the secure bike store which also included a workshop pump. The games room is next door with table tennis, snooker and a host of board games and a customer laundry next door to that.
The setting and the outside courtyard area around the cottages is beautiful and the entire plot extends to 70 acres so there is lots to explore. The immediate countryside around The Tews is classic Cotswolds with Oxford and Stratford within an easy 35-minute drive.
Our week’s holiday could not have been more perfect, and it was made complete when we returned on the last afternoon to find a punnet of fresh strawberries on our doorstep. We will return, and a winter break would be as delightful as a Summer stay.

Thank you, we had another really super week in Beechnut. Celebrating Christmas and a special Birthday and we woke to snow one morning which made it all look quite 'magical'.
