Sitting in the hot tub and feeding wild deer, what could be better for a truly relaxing weekend away for my wife's birthday. The hosts are lovely, friendly and hospitable and leave you to your own peace and quiet, but are available if you should need them. The log cabin is spotlessly clean, fitted out to an extremely high standard and has absolutely everything that you would need. You may not want to even leave the cabin during your stay, as the hot tub and deer are entertainment enough, but there is plenty around if you want to venture out, including forest walks that are literally on your ...more
My wife and I visit this place every year. We completely switch off and unwind, the moment we arrive. There isn’t any WiFi which is great, as it makes sure we leave our devices alone. The views and wildlife are amazing. To watch the forest change colour, and to see the deer and foxes, plus all the bird life makes up for not looking at our phones. Also, to be able to see all of this whilst relaxing in the hot tub is pure bliss. It’s a wonderful location that we never tire of. We booked all three lodges (Bluebell, Bramley, and Fern) to accommodate my immediate family for a special celebration - my wife's 60th birthday. The weekend was absolutely amazing. My wife and I have been staying annually at Bluebell Lodge since 2013, so having our entire family there was a fabulous experience. It felt a little unusual, but only in the best way! As always, the lodges were immaculate. The location is stunning, and the service provided by the hosts, Lucy and Rich, is exceptional. There’s nothing they won’t do to ensure you have a memorable and comfortable stay.
