Booked for birthday family get together for 7 adults, toddler and dog. Prebooking and communication with owners prior to arrival was efficient. Highchair and stairgate made available. Well equipped kitchen and 3 areas which comfortable seat 8 adults (kitchen, lounge and courtyard). The courtyard was a safe enclosed area for both dog and toddler. Only 4 adults and toddler ended up sleeping there so lots of space. Great games room - something for everyone. Had safety briefing for use of canoes, - buoyancy aids provided. Such a peaceful and beautiful location by the river, and only 30 miles from home. The relaxing view from the master bedroom through the bifold doors made it difficult to get up in the morning! Well equipped throughout and everything works. The games room is a bonus on wet days. Excellent access for anyone with mobility issues or a wheelchair including the wet room shower. Nick and James couldn't have been more helpful with this providing us with a shower perch stool for our daughter. A very minor point is that the bath is narrow if that would be of concern. We were upgraded to Mill Race Cottage by Nick and James at no extra cost. We have stayed in this property before and like all the others in which we have stayed over the years, we had a very peaceful and relaxing week in wonderful surroundings. Mendham Mill is in an idyllic setting and perfect for chilling out for a few days.
Very peaceful, beautiful surroundings on the River Waveney. The Lodge is a home from home with spacious rooms, fully equipped kitchen and well appointed bathroom. The garden is perfect for our Border Collie to exhaust himself in. Decent gym. Very peaceful, secluded fishing on the doorstep. We’ve been to Mendham Mill twice now and feel really refreshed when we leave. Thank you James & Nick for your generous hospitality. Hope to see you again soon.
