The large tipi at Rock Farm Slane is a popular tent with its high ceiling and own woodburning stove. Sleeping up to 6 people in single mattresses or 6 in 3 doubles. Our tents are carpeted and furnished with mattresses, linen and fresh towels. Located in our OLDTOWN FIELD and offered as part of our BELL TENT VILLAGE

Beautiful place and value for money. Bed was so uncomfortable though. Would have liked a bit more info about place your just left to figure stuff out for yourself which takes time. Will definitely go back

The saddleback tent was very nice but very basic. It would be a good idea for the owners to provide a couple of chairs and maybe a table to put things on. The toilets and showers were very basic and it was clear that they were not cleaned at all during our stay. All the staff were very friendly but it looked like there was nobody from management present. As a wedding venue Rock Farm is very good however the showering and toilet facilities do need to be improved.

I would have expected more comfort and cleanliness for a Glamping home! Pictures on website are more promising than reality. It’s not more than a bed in a tent with lots of insects/animals

The good…
- beautiful location
- some good facilities
- reasonably comfy beds
- clean set up

The not so good…
- the tent itself needs a good clean, you’re charging a lot and all I can see is dirt/ mould
- the potholes on the road up are unreal
- it’s very expensive glorified camping

Great location, lovely surroundings and very enjoyable stay. Good value for money too. Would definitely return. A minor observation but the road up to the location is riddled with potholes and could benefit from a little maintenance. Minor observation as I say, I'd have no hesitation in recommending Rock Farm to anyone.

We had a very enjoyable one night stay in Saddleback. The campsite is perfect for so many different types of activities but with a family of 4 my husband and I enjoyed the time relaxing and the kids loved the kitchen and rambling around the walks. I would say the tent was in need of a really good hoover lots of hair the floor but the beds were super clean and it was value for money. We would definitely be back and loved the place

Booked 4 nights. Just myself and my dog. Tent was amazing. So clean and beautifully presented. On-site facilities simply 1st class. I only needed to bring food. The kitchen had absolutely everything. The views are stunning. So peaceful and tranquil. Looking forward to my next stay already.

We had a lovely time in Rock Farm. Due to covid restrictions we only interacted with staff on the phone and never seen anyone however they have the place so well set and smooth, we didnt need to! The shower block in particular was way above the standard i expeted! Our 4 year old son had a great time exploring the farm and making fires and pizzaz. Would highly recommend

I didn’t meet anyone from I went TIL I left
It needs to be made clear that you can cook there and you have a shelf in a fridge and your own utensils
There is no taxi available from slane and it’s 20 euro to get into slane village
It was a different experience

The bell tent was very comfortable - we haven't done 'glamping' before so the hot showers were very much appreciated. Highly recommended if you want the camping experience without having to pack up a tent/sleeping bag and the rest. The camp kitchen had everything we needed, and we enjoyed the covered seating area during a spot of rain on the Friday. Make sure you bring marshmallows for the camp fire, which was a huge hit with the children. There are river walks and tree-climbing and kayaking activities available on site, but the location would also be a perfect base for exploring Newgrange, Hill of Slane etc.

A beautiful farm with lovely healthy animals , stayed in le Tipi which was very nice apart from the flies flying around the inside,The only complaint i had was the foul smelly fridge in the kitchen that needs to be cleaned so badly and tea towels need to be provided clean every day to order to dry dishes in a hygienic way, and kitchen floor washed.
