Lovely house we’d been hoping to stay at some point for decades. Brought the whole family (4months to 72), felt spacious and perfectly suited for all ages. We had lovely warm, sunny weather for the week and enjoyed walking the beaches and swimming in the sea. The warm and well equipped boot room was so useful with kids running in and out with direct access to the beach; the kitchen has the best window for relaxing and enjoy the view, best feature of a house I’ve ever stayed in!! Incredible sunsets. Would love to return again. Can’t recommend highly enough, worth the drive from London.
This is my third or fourth stay at the Bothy, so I was well-prepared for the possibilities of the winter climate in the far north. It’s a lengthy drive, but worth it for the solitude and overall comfort of the accommodation. You need to know that a Bothy is compact, so don’t bring several suitcases as space is at a premium. With tiled or wooden floors, slippers and a dressing gown are recommended for winter breaks. Also, the shower space is very tight. Very comfortable cottage on a friendly working farm. Lovely area for walking and swimming. The only thing lacking was a small mirror in the bedroom.
