We were a multi generational family group of 18, staying at Balnakiel House and in the little Bothy in the garden. We had high expectations and the house did not disappoint. Favourite room was the kitchen which is huge, well-appointed with an aga and a table long enough to sit everyone comfortably plus a wood burner and wide window seat giving views onto the turquoise water and white sands of Balnakiel Bay - one of our favourite beaches ever (and some of us live in Cornwall!). The house is practical as well as comfortable - a huge boot room for washing and drying, a games room, a wine cella...more
My family stayed in Balnakeil house and the Bothy was ideal as an extra bedroom and space to use . The location is exceptional - there can be no better view to wake up to and the stars at night stretched to infinity … A truly memorable stay - thank you
