We loved our stay in this beautiful penthouse. The space was perfectly appointed with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The wonderful beds and bedding allowed for a peaceful sleep after long days on the slopes. We loved the tree lined walk into Chamonix City Center-and all the shops and restaurants offered within an easy walking distance. The views are spectacular allowing for full appreciation of the daily snowfall and views of mountain peaks. We hope to visit again soon! Chamonix will remain in our hearts as we travel back to the US ❤️

Chamonix all Year is what makes this apartment special. It's a quality modern apartment in a relatively new complex with many amenities.
The apartment space is generous , the fittings are modern. Excellent appliances. Well equiped kitchen. Anything you might need the Chamonix all year team will do their best to arrange to get promptly for you.
There is a very large TV in a media type room but also Tv in the living room not shown on the photos which is nice for apres ski family movies on the sofas.
The kitchen storage is a little cramped but will likely be addressed easily buy the owners.
Beautiful views. Occasionally we saw deer wandering amongst the houses at dusk, an idea of how peaceful it is.
Common reception space has a Fussball table , a Pool table , swimming pool with sauna steam etc and a gym if you are not busy enough on the slopes.
The apartment is approximately a 13 minute walk into Les Praz. Just over 1km. The village in itself has very little beyond the lift station and a few restaurants. We tried several and had good quality meals. No real local source for groceries/basics or fresh products. There is a tiny little shop L'epricerie which is very nice but limited and very expensive, captive audience and a short season. A small pot of Skyr was €6.10 ( the .10c did make me smile.) They do have fresh bread in the morning. But all other groceries have to be bought in Chamonix, We did try to arrange a delivery from the Supermarket but they weren't delivering Christmas week so we arranged a Click and collect on out way to resort in the Carrefour in Sallanches to have the family stock in place and deal with the heavy and bulky supplies.
There are ski storage lockers at the Flegere lift station that can be booked online.
There is a No.11 Proxibus that circuits through the suburbs about every 30 mins back up into Les Praz , there is a stop very close to the Apartments. The main stops for the local buses and Ski bus services 1 and 17 are about a 5 min walk towards Les Praz. Whilst the buses run every 30 mins they arent always to the schedules as the traffic can vary. We went to ski in Les Houches , the timetable says 25 mins we'd guessed 35 -40 but were on the bus for an hour so be aware of the variables like traffic day to day.
Overall, we thought this is an excellent property, however it would be best if you had your own transport for shop runs etc. We actually considered a rental whilst we were there. We regularly used a very reliable local company to transfer us about when it suited as long as thet had 30-45 mins notice it generally worked very well. Into Chamonix, have a meal , get some supplies and back to the apartment, all very smooth and not standing at bus stops watching the live bus icon creep towards your stop !

We really enjoyed our stay at La Cordee penthouse. The apartment is beautiful, is decorated wonderfully and has a splendid view on the mountains. The kitchen is fully equipped and all the bedrooms and bathrooms are clean and stylish.

This was not our choice but a replacement, as, due to technical problems, the challet we rented was not available. Nice property, comfortable and modern. Beautiful mountain view. Location not so good with 20 minutes walk to lifts and 30 to town. Cooktop and pans not well suited for preparing meals for 8 adults! Too small and not enough options. Coffee machine was not working and was in unacceptable conditions, including presence of mold inside!

Update August 2024 - A new Nespresso coffee machine has been provided in this property rather than the more complicated machine that was there previously.

We had a great stay at La Cordee! The unit was extremely clean, well equipped, and beautiful. The staff were extremely responsive and helpful with planning activities to do in Chamonix. I only wish that coffee and maybe water and a snack was provided upon check in. We had just arrived after 15 hours of travel and had to rush out to the grocery store for water. Other than that our stay was 10/10, and I would recommend wholeheartedly!

The mountains it also is located to the bus and rail lines there are great hiking trails nearby very lovely

Everything was perfect: the appartement is very well equipped with high quality furniture. We love the view from most of the rooms.
There is no shop in the immediate surroundings, except a very food restaurant (8 mins walk).

Chamonix is a wonderful town for a winter or summer holiday in the mountains.
La Cordee is a supper little development, well located in the centre of the valley, close to ski lifts, the spa, tennis, golf and the restaurants and shops of the town centre. It has a nice sauna, stream, jacuzzi, dip pool, gym area for residents.
Chamonix All Year is an excellent organiser of trips to Chamonix and to La Cordee, keeping the self catering accommodation in top condition.
We will be back.

Perfect holiday home, well furnished and with style. Kitchen could do with a few extra items but all the basics are there for self catering. Common facilities at the residence are extremely clean and well tended too - of superior quality than in other similar establishments I have been to. Management of the property was super responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We will be back.
