A lovely relaxing stay in beautiful countryside with all the facilities you need to enjoy Devon. The standard of the accommodation is exceptional.
We are a family of four (two sons aged 24 and 21) just returned from a wonderful peaceful week at Gitcombe. We stayed in the Coach House, which was the perfect size for us. The cottage was lovely, spotless, comfortable and of a very high standard. The kitchen had everything that you could need and we lit a cosy fire every night. We all loved the indoor pool, steam room and sauna and spent many hours in the outdoor hot tub gazing at the beautiful views and cows on the hill. The pool complex was like a luxury spa and super clean. It is amazingly quiet, with no distant road or airplane nois...more
Can only imagine how lovely Gitcombe is in summer, but we booked 3 days at the beginning of January to beat the winter blues and it was the perfect escape. Cosy cottage with wood burning stove, countryside walks right from the estate, and best of all a warm indoor pool and hottub for the kids to let off steam!
Absolutely loved the property and the many facilities. The Pool/Spa area was fabulous, it was extremely clean, warm and welcoming. The whole family from 1year old - 91 year old loved it. Tennis courts and outside childrens adventure area provided great fun for all. We stayed in Gitcombe House - An absolutely beautiful Georgian Mansion with masses of space for our party of 9 adults, 2 children and 3 toddlers. The kitchen is very well stocked with all the equipment and utensils you could ever need and the rest of the house is filled with books, dvd's toys etc.... I would definitely recommend ...more
Outstanding from start to finish. Easy to book, nothing was too much trouble for Emma, who even got in touch before we came to see whether we needed any last minute help or information. We got a lovely welcome from Peter after we arrived, to find the cottage nicely decorated with a Christmas tree. The cottage was spotless and well appointed. The appliances are all in good order and top end. Although the kitchen and living room are open plan, the appliances are not too loud to disturb you. There was everything we needed, even to cook Christmas lunch. The bedrooms and bathrooms are immaculate....more
It was an amazing holiday, beyond form expected, we loved the place, the cottage was adorable and cozy, all the facilities were better than shown in pictures, we really enjoyed it. Walks around are very beautiful and it is located in an amazing part of England. We will consider it as an every year place to go. :)
We stayed at Gitcombe in Yannadon Barn for just 4 short nights in July 2019 - but what an amazing time we had! The site is so well kept, and our barn had everything that we needed - we even had our own private terrace to sit out on each evening. The indoor pool and hot tub where perfectly situated with views to die for, and we spent a couple of lazy mornings there, enjoying time to de-stress and unwind, chilling out with a good book in between a swim or two! The wonderful Maltsters Arms pub in Tuckenhay provided us with the best Sunday roast I think I have ever eaten, and it's perfect fo...more
We had an amazing 3 night stay in Garden House. The place is in an incredible setting and in amazing condition. The facilities are incredible and the kids loved it. We’ll be back for sure
Gitcombe is a beautiful haven in the middle of stunning Devon countryside. The estate is maintained impeccably and the facilities are ideal for families/ couples/ groups looking to escape from everyday life and feed the soul. We loved exploring the grounds, getting cosy in our house (Haytor) with our fire. The kids loved swimming everyday and the outdoor hot tub with views of the hills was just incredible. Even in late December we played tennis & explored the many beautiful, local towns close by. Our favourite day was the coastal walk towards GaraRock hotel where we had a great lunch. We...more
