Kinlochlaich House is an historic Scottish country house set in its own beautiful gardens on the south facing slopes of the Appin hills, close to sea with views to the mountains. You can stay in self contained apartments in the main house, a cottage in the grounds or a unique award winning eco tree house. The grounds include an octagonal walled garden, tennis court, table tennis pavilion, lawns and a woodland walk.
I have wanted to stay here for years and glad we did overall. The exterior of the property is interesting, the grounds are beautiful and the location is great. The interior is obviously quirky as you would expect, however it was disappointing that the layout is inward looking rather outward onto the garden and surrounding area. The sofa was extremely comfortable unlike the bed in the main bedroom which was the only one we had access to. We did ask for a mattress topper to help with comfort but there wasn't one available.
