Northend is our fantastic 2 bedroom cottage, ideal for couples and families alike. Our cottages are all well equipped with lovely styled touches throughout, providing you with a home from home. We include 40 inch TV & DVD player, fast free Wi-fi, super comfy corner sofa in the living room, fully equipped kitchen, 2 great bedrooms, a large luxurious bathroom with roll-top bath, a private courtyard garden which has access to the bike store and shared play area for children. Short walk to the local village.

Northend cottage is very cosy had everything we needed It is in a very quite location A lovely pub in the village which is walkable but we went in the car Waterloo Arms is the name of the pub We met Emily what a lovely lady was next door if we needed anything Would definitely stay again if in the area

We had a wonderful stay at the 3 cottages with extended family. Super for children with small play area. Owners very helpful. Kitchens were well equipped for cooking large family meals.

We booked Northed cottage as we were attending a wedding in the area. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. We highly recommend the cottage to anyone who wants to stay in the Scottish Borders.

Thoroughly enjoyed our fortnight in Northend. The property was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. Home from home. Waking up to hear the bird song each morning was so relaxing. It’s the perfect base to explore the North East as both Edinburgh and Alnwick are in easy reach. We hope to return soon.

Northend was a lovely, spotless holiday cottage. The location was rural and central to beaches and castles, ideal for everyone. Emily and Simon were the perfect hosts and an added bonus was their gorgeous, friendly pony Merv. We would most definitely recommend Northend holiday cottage and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again! Perfect!!!

A lovely rural retreat in the beautiful Scottish Borders, Northend is perfectly placed for a quiet, peaceful stay. The cottage was spotlessly clean and offered everything you could ask for, with the exception perhaps of a tumble drier. The beds are very comfortable and the towels soft and fluffy, with the bathroom with toll-top bath and “Bathe” stencil on the wall being the best room in the house! The decor elsewhere is basic and in need of a touch-up here and there, nothing a lick of paint or a touch of colour couldn’t solve. Sadly the pretty tartan blankets and cushions featured in the photos in the bedrooms had been removed, I assume for Covid reasons, which made them very plain and not as pretty as expected. That said, we settled into our home from home immediately and truly relaxed into a fantastic holiday, our first without children for 16 years, so this cosy little cottage was perfect for the two of us.

A cosy, clean and welcoming cottage, with good facilities and plenty of room for two people. Hosts were welcoming and helpful when we needed their help with finding places to eat and valued our feedback regarding the information in the welcome pack.

Ideal cottage for family of 4, with plenty to do in the local area, within a short driving distance.

Kitchen was well equipped and the washing machine was used more than once.

I would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a base in this area, not too far away from main towns, however, nice and peaceful at night.

Lovely cottage as usual with great shortbread and homemade jam left as a gift. Great time spent at Coldingham beach just a shame weather wasn't so great all week. We will defo be back we have Manderston House to go too. Thanks again for a lovely stay Simon and Emily.

We love the area and have now found a new ideal base. Northend is well equipped and finished. With an M&S Foodhall in Berwick and lots of lovely eateries locally (especially enjoyed The Allanton Inn and Jim Clark Bistro) this is self catering the easy way.

In the current times Northend felt safe, very clean and all procedures helpful. Owners available if needed.

We love the borders as there are so many places to go yet it's rarely busy. Just apply logic at peak times. We had a fabulous holiday and didn't want to leave.

Great place to stay just a short drive away from fantastic beaches and wonderful scenery. Simon and Enily were really helpful and friendly and we would all recommend a stay at one of their holiday cottages!

Lovely welcome from the owners. The cottage was clean and it provided a good base to explore the surrounding area. The kids loved having the playground just outside our door and loved being able to feed the chickens!
