Hidden down a long country lane on the edge of the rural village of Edgefield, 15 minutes south of the beautiful North Norfolk coast and just north of Norwich, eight self-catering cottages are set around a grassy courtyard.
Converted from traditional Norfolk flint barns and stables and incorporating many original features, the cottages sleep 2 - 6 people in one to three comfortable bedrooms.
Our cottages have achieved 100% for cleanliness from Visit Britain eight years in a row and are equipped and maintained to offer everything you need for a great countryside holiday.
The excellent Pigs pub is only 10 minutes on foot.
All the above cottages were immaculately clean and so warm and comfortable. Lovely surroundings, very peaceful. Great walks with or without a dog! Pool table in barn along with table tennis proved popular with members of our family. Lots of things for young children to play with/on, toy tractors…. tree house….. trampoline and more. All cottages well equipped. Diana Chris and Kerry…… thank you.
This was a stay very helpfully rebooked by Diana after I had to cancel last Christmas, so we’ve been looking forward to this for about 18 months!
A warm welcome from the team as we settled into the cottage. It is a little off the beaten track (we chose it for this reason) but easy to find and close enough to a farm shop or Holt if you need anything.
Cottage was well organised for dog owners and the set up made it easy to look after and deal with muddy paws before they could make a mess. Our hound enjoyed the local walks and the views from the French windows.

Wood Farm is in a very good location not far from the town of Holt and the Norfolk Coast. The cottages are well laid out and well equipped. Although our cottage, Chestnut, adjoined another, the bedrooms are sited at the far end of each property. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Our stay was in December so a quiet time of the year. We would certainly consider staying there again.
Another beautifully equipped cottage ideally suited to the less mobile visitors. Has its own private parking space.
The only cottage of the 5 we booked with a separate kitchen. Ideal for a 3 year old who would rather watch tv than eat her dinner.
Lovely leather sofas in lounge and obviously well looked after.
Spotless bedding and towels.
We were concerned that my son-in-law who's 6ft 9 would find the bed too small, but there was no problem.
Well equipped kitchen - a real home from home.

Absolutely beautiful cottage with a HUGE open plan living/dining area.
Comfortable sofas and additional bar stools.
Very well equipped kitchen with everything needed and more. Plentiful dishtowels, oven gloves and cleaning up materials.
Lovely comfortable beds with snowy white bed linen. Additional bedding if required.
Bookcase overflowing with books for all ages.
Plenty to occupy everyone both on and off site.
Our 2nd stay at Wood Farm cottages but our first in Willow Cottage. Overall accommodation is good for two adults as the 2nd bedroom is accessed via steep wooden staircase to a mezzanine floor (this is however explained in the cottage description on the website). Generally the cottage is well furnished however the bathroom is beginning to look a little "tired" with a "crack" in the top side of the bath and "chips" in the porcelain sink. Great that short stays are available and we liked the fact that the booking procedure can be handled direct with owners which doesn't rely totally on "online b...more
Well appointed cottage that, despite being in a terrace, felt very private. The private garden was ideal for our two small dogs.
Kitchen was very well equipped with everything you'd ever need and more.
Lounge was really comfortable and furniture was high quality.
Beds were amongst the comfiest we've ever experienced.
All bed linen and towels were spotless and plentiful.
The cottage itself was spotlessly clean and all electrical equipment had detailed operating instructions.
There's plenty to do both on and off site and there's a bookshelf that's full to bursting with something to suit ev...more
