The house is in a perfect location, a lovely walk into Windermere. The road can be loud as it is busy but didn’t bother us. The kitchen was perfectly stocked which is not always the case when renting a property. Beds were comfortable and we loved the cinema in the cellar. Only complaint was there wasn’t much ventilation in the loft bedrooms and we stayed on a hot weekend, the fire doors are incredibly heavy to prop open, that with the busy road with windows open made for a noisy night. Fantastically located and equipped house, ideal for a group trip to the Lakes. Andrew was a brilliant communicator and all the information was provided in a clear way in advance of our stay, he was incredibly helpful throughout the booking process and responsive to any questions we had. The house itself had everything needed and was spotless on arrival. The hot tub was an extra special treat after a day in the fells. Alice Howe is a lovely large house with everything & more you could need for your holiday. We are a party of 4 couples, the bedrooms with en-suites worked well for us all. The house was spotless, all the rooms are really tastefully decorated. After a day exploring the many attractions we spent a lot of time relaxing in the garden & the lovely hot tub. We even watched a movie in the cinema room which is brilliant! Location of the house couldn’t be better. We really loved this house. Very good size rooms and lovely ensuite showers. Had some great evenings in the bar. Great location. Would not hesitate to recommend this house to anyone.
The house was absolutely perfect for us, each room is spacious and has everything you need. All bedrooms were amazing and pretty much sound proof which is great for a large group. The beds were very comfy and each room had a bathroom or en suite so plenty of toilet/shower space for everyone. The garden and hot tub were brilliant and the cinema room was an amazing end to our weekend. Would definitely recommend this house and would stay again!
For a group of 5 adults the cottage was absolutely perfect. It was immaculately clean, well furnished and the owners have provided everything you need for self catering - plenty glasses, crockery etc in the kitchen and of good quality. There was a supply of tea, coffee, sugar as well as kitchen cleaning stuff. The beds were extremely comfy, good quality towels were provided, as well as loo roll and lovely hand-wash in the bathrooms. Lovely property in a great location. It is walking distance to shops, pubs and restaurants. The property is spacious and and it is well furnished. The bedrooms are a good size. The owners were very informative and I cannot fault their communication when further information was needed. All in all we had a fab week with the family.
