We stayed as an extended family group for one week to celebrate a big birthday. The property was spacious enough for us all. The location was close to all amenities. Walk up Orest Head, railway and buses were excellent ideal for exploring the area without using your car..The property was well fitted out with comfy beds and en-suites ideal for us and our dogs. Good local restaurants.
Our stay at No.1 The Terrace in Windermere was absolutely perfect. The house is beautifully spacious, easily accommodating our group of six, yet it still felt incredibly cosy and welcoming. Every detail has been thought through, making it a truly luxurious place to stay. The extra touches really made the experience special – the jacuzzi was perfect for unwinding after a day exploring, the private bar area made evenings feel extra fun, and the cinema room was an amazing addition for cosy nights in. We booked Orrest Bead house for my husband's 50th birthday celebration. From start to finish communication with Andrew the owner was very easy, he even answered the phone when he was abroad on holiday when I had to tell him one of our party had taken a key home! The house had just undergone several upgrades including a new kitchen which was amazing. All the bedrooms and bathrooms were beautiful and everything was spotless. Our first time at the cottage and we loved it, so much we’ve already booked again. Nice size for 4 adults, baby grandson and dog, very comfortable and clean. Good location minutes walk to the village but private garden with parking. Highly recommended.
For a large family gathering, this house is perfect. It’s extremely well situated in the heart of Windermere, right by the station, the bus depot and Booths supermarket. The hot tub is a great addition. 5 of the 7 bedrooms are en-suite and 4 are doubles. There is plenty of parking so it’s very convenient for large groups. If anything, the bedding is feather so may not suit everyone, otherwise, the house is extremely well provided for, especially the kitchen and cooking facilities. We would definitely re-book.
16 of us stayed at the property for a hen weekend and it was perfect for us. We had caterers in for a lovely dinner and we enjoyed running a quiz and photo story on the screen in the cinema room.
