We spent a weekend at Orrest Head House and it was the perfect setting for us to get together after many years. The house is finished beautifully with wonderful details and everything you need to relax and catch up with friends. We enjoyed the outdoor space especially, with the BBQ and external dining along with the spacious garden. We walked up to Orrest Head View directly from the back of the house and walked down to Windermere and Bowness with a great mix of shops, restaurants and pubs. We would love to come back!
Just returned from a brilliant stay at Number One The Terrace in Windermere. It was exactly what we needed with everything to hand, large spacious rooms and an excellent lobby to dance in!!
Good communication prior to the stay with clear information about the accommodation. The electronic guide is a good idea. Hot tub and cinema room a bit of luxury. Need clearer information about hypoallergenic pillows and duvets. I made a call to the proprietors and was advised some beds had these on and we would need to look around. Only found 2 non duck feather pillows and no duvets were duck feather free. We had to buy additional hypoallergenic pillows and take the duvets out the duvet covers so we could use the duvet covers. Had a comfortable stay here, very convenient to the town centre & had everything we needed for break in the lakes. Would recommend.
We had an amazing stay at white moss. The house is beautiful and has everything you need! The location was perfect and right opposite the train station where you can get the bus into Bowness-on-Windermere or further. The house was spotless! Lots of lovely walks nearby and within short driving distance from places to take the dog which are much quieter than in the town centre.
Beautiful house in an idyllic location, stayed for 5 days and the house was the perfect base for our adventures.
