We had a lovely stay at Number One. The house is amazing - has everything you need for a big group stay. All the rooms are massive and beautifully decorated too. Especially appreciated the spare hooks on the walls meaning you could hang up any party decor without using blue tac
A beautiful property with fantastic gardens. It was a delight to spend a week there, sat in the garden amongst the mature trees watching the wildlife go by. Out of the town but with regular, easy bus commutes from the train station a short walk away. I would recommend it to any large party.
This was the 3rd time I have stayed here and it never disappoints. The location is perfect for local shops and transport links to other locations in and around the Lake District. Very enjoyable stay.
We were a group of 14 40somethings from all over the country gathered to celebrate my 50th. We found Alice Howe the perfect venue in a great location handy for the station, supermarket, restaurants and shops. We particularly enjoyed being able to have breakfast outside in the back yard, sipping champagne in the hot tub and the front room made an ideal venue for our quiz and party! The only minor criticisms I would make are that the massive chesterfield sofas are very uncomfortable and some people moved to the floor! We enjoyed a wonderful celebratory weekend at Boston House. We would book one of The Terrace properties again, as they are ideally positioned and perfect for large parties. However, this property is tired and is in needs of some tlc. Having stayed at No 1 last year there is a notable difference and it’s a shame. The hosts are marvellous, the property is clean and we had a superb time, but it’s time for a ‘freshen up’.
We had a large group staying for the weekend and we had the best time! The location is absolutely brilliant, close to Windermere village with lovely walks straight from the door. The house was so well kitted out, with everything we could possibly have needed. The rooms were so well set up and beds were extremely comfy! The property itself is beautiful! Thank you so much, couldn’t recommend it more!
