We stayed at Orrest Head House as two families for a week in summer. From initially booking through to the end of our stay, the experience was of the highest quality. It's a lovely house in a great location, convenient for both drivers and public transport users. Close enough to the Lake and other activities to be convenient while offering a significant private space to spread out and enjoy. The morning walk up Orrest Head is very special!
Perfect facilities exactly as described and expected. Check in and out was all good. Hottest weekend of the year and the house was cool and comfortable. Plenty of parking. Handy for shops and transport

This is a fantastic house if you are looking to celebrate with your family or friends. We stayed here to celebrate my husband’s birthday with lots of our family. It was perfect for us. There was plenty of room with everyone. The two kitchens were a real bonus and well equipped, making it easy to cater for our large group. There was plenty of space for everyone to relax and unwind in the evening. The cinema room was a big hit with our children and get well used! Lovely old house in an excellent location. T/V room received plenty of use when sheltering from diabolical weather. Only small gripe was that the property needs some TLC in its next close season, primarily to the drainage system as the flow-away is very slow.
We had a lovely stay at Whitw Moss. Great location for access to the Lake District and all the shops, bars and restaurants on the doorstep. The house is huge but cosy rooms and very comfortable beds! Would definitely come back!
We have just returned from another amazing holiday at The Terrace Windermere. Last year we stayed in Alice Howe. This year we were in Boston house, which was every bit as brilliant. Location is perfect. Supermarket is just round the corner with all the lovely shops bars restaurants of Windermere just a short walk away. The train station is only a 5 minute walk. We had 8 adults a baby & 2 dogs in our party age range from 7months to 84! The whole house was tastefully decorated & super clean. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need.
