A pleasant stay in clean & well appointed surroundings. Situated in peaceful rural setting yet close enough to Inverness to enjoy the benefits of the town. Hosts Gill & Chris couldn't have been more welcoming & helpful. Accommodation all on one level, open plan & dog friendly were impotant factors for us.

Clava Cottage is a remarkable place and we enjoyed our stay absolutely. You can see and feel the love and effort (and certainly much work) Gill & Chris put into it to create the perfect home from home. Thank you so much for it!
The Cottage is cozy, spotlessly clean and offers everything you want: Comfortable beds, wonderful bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and beautiful surroundings. It is so peaceful and quiet, yet just a short drive away from Inverness.
I liked the views most and that's why we came to Scotland. We wanted to do some walks, for which Gask House is a wonderful starting point, but ended up staying in, so my husband could nurse his cold. I didn't mind because there was no better place to just relax, have a good read and enjoy the fire in the wood burning stove.
We can totally recommend not only the Cottage, but also it's hosts!

My wife and I stayed at Clava cottage for 4 days. It was immaculately presented and extremely well equipped. We cooked in the cottage and everything needed was available to hand.
The Gask House Farm is in the ideal location to allow exploration of the region's mountains for walking and cycling.
Chris and Gill (hosts) are so welcoming and their 3 dogs just made our holiday.
An absolute must-stay.

We have stayed in this cottage many times over the years, and it never disappoints. Lovely views, comfortable and warm. A great base to easily explore a large area of the highlands.

This cottage is beautifully equipped and wants for nothing! Well laid out and lovely and warm with under floor heating and a log fire to top up if required!
Views are stunning around the property with walks aplenty to enjoy the scenery!
Lastly owners Gill and Chris are very welcoming and always on hand to give advice, help or just talk! No issue is too big for them to handle!
We highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in that area!

Excellent location not too far from Inverness yet far enough out to enjoy the peace and tranquility. Handy to local walks and possible to go further afield as the fancy takes you !.
Nairn,Findhorn and Cawdor Castle to name a few also can recommend Applecross which has super seafood.

You most certainly enjoy your stay!.

We can't speak highly enough about our stay. From the off, we were very impressed with the property: from first sight outside to the immaculate fixtures and fittings inside and our hostess, Gill, could not be more welcoming and helpful. We were in the area of Loch Ness for a golden retriever "Golden Gathering" and our two goldens were made just as welcome as us. Gill's three Labs were equally friendly and welcoming and were happy to share their secure, enclosed exercise area.

Stayed in a lovely cottage with spectacular views . Everything was of high quality . Did trips on each of the 3 days to Torridon, Falls of Foyers and Fort Augustus and Nairn and Fort George respectively. Location was good but did require a bit more driving than we expected to see the sights.

We had a most wonderful time staying with friends at Gask House. Both cottages are tastefully furnished (Country estate meets Scandi) and we were much impressed with the technical setup (underfloor heating and such high water pressure). The location is fantastic and feels almost like the Tuscany of Scotland. The hosts are a delightful couple and their dogs are so well-behaved. Our kids hat lots of fun strolling around the farm, visiting the chickens and exploring the lush greenery. We even ended up cutting our "To See" list short to be able to spend more time at the farm as we all felt that its the perfect spot to relax. We would definitely come back!!!

Clava Cottage is a lovely cottage, clean modern and with lots of space particularly for two people and two large dogs. The little secure patio area is great and the views lovely. Gill & Chris were very friendly hosts, helpful and pleasant. The home baking was a very welcome treat. Ideally located for Inverness and surrounds yet out in the peace and quiet of the countryside. Would definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed staying at Clava cottage at Gask House and couldn't have been made to feel more welcome by Gill and Chris.

The area is spectacular and we found the cottage to be a great base for exploring it.

The cottage provides everything you need for a home from home experience and Gill was on hand to provide insight into places worth a visit.

With the Cairngorms, Loch Ness, Whisky trail and spectacular coastal places you really are spoilt for choice and we are already planning a longer visit next year.

This is our 2nd visit to Gask House and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The views from the cottage are lovely and it's very peaceful. The cottage has everything you could possibly need and our dog enjoyed the long walks nearby. Gill and Chris are fantastic hosts, nothing was too much trouble. We will be returning.

My wife and I spent 3 nights in Clava Cottage and found it to be a delightful stay just outside of Inverness. The hostess was extremely accommodating and even arranged a working border collie demonstration for us. We loved to fireplace and the patio with a view. Would highly recommend.

Accommodation as described and clean and tidy.
Facilities are excellent.
Owners could not be more friendly and nothing was too much trouble, we felt that we could approach them about anything !.
The general area was a good base to explore the highlands , Inverness was close by we walked the River Ness every night.
Very dog friendly as well , but if you don't like dogs they are not in your face so the best of both worlds.
As returning customers we found Gask had improved a lot , not that it was bad in the first place ie.Gardens and grass walks made the place even more idyllic!.
So if you want a nice place to stay we would recommend Gask Farm, as Arnold Schwarzenegger would say " i'll be back!"

Clava Cottage is a good sized property for a couple, plenty of space and well kitted out. dogs are very well provided for with a walking area on the property and plenty of walks round about. For us the magnificent views were the highlight of this property.

Clava Cottage was perfect for our week away with our dog, Bramble. Gill welcomed us with home baking and made us feel at home straight away. The cottage is spotless and has everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The view from the decked area is beautiful and next time we’ll come and stay in the warmer months so we can enjoy sitting outside and soaking it in. We were lucky to see the landscape with a beautiful covering of snow.
There’s plenty to see and do around the area and Gill is on hand to advise and answer any questions. The freshly laid eggs were delicious and it was obvious that they were laid by happy hens! The stove was lovely and cosy in the evenings and it was great being able to stock up on wood as required from Gill.
We wound definitely recommend Clava Cottage whether you’re looking to rest and take it easy or be active in the surrounding beautiful countryside. We’ll be back!

Great welcome from the owners, Gill and Chris and the two dogs .
Everything was provided and far more than in any other self catering property we have stayed in and thats been a lot over the years
Very comfortable and very warm, with all heating costs included and that’s unusual !
A log fire if you wish and additional logs at a small cost
Lovely views and easy access to either end of Inverness .Don't be put off by some short bits of road being single track as it’s not a problem
Chris and Gill have hens so eggs are plentiful at a small cost
So many interesting places to visit in the area
A very enjoyable stay at Gask House Cottages where you will have peace and quiet and where your hosts Gill and Chris go out of their way to make your stay so pleasant.

We stayed at Gask on a wee honeymoon to relax after all the stress and excitement of organising our wedding and we couldn’t have picked a better place! Cottage was beautiful inside, set in a stunning location and incredibly dog friendly. Gill and Chris were fantastic hosts and were very helpful. We had a delightful stay here. The location is fabulous with wonderful views of the surrounding valley and mountains. The cottage is beautifully presented and very well equipped with everything thought of. Clava is very spacious and offers a high degree of comfort. It was also fantastic for our dog with a safe enclosed courtyard and plenty of walks on the doorstep. Gask House is ideal for those seeking peace and tranquility but is also within easy reach of the areas many attractions.

Have stayed at Gask House many times over the years. Usually in February (when the log burner is very cosy), but this time we stayed in August. As always, everything was clean, well equipped, and comfortable. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The location is also great. Being fairly central and near Inverness, it offers easy access to most of the highlands. I have no doubt we will be back.

We came to Inverness to help a family member move house but wanted to have a short break at the same time and were extremely lucky to find a few days available at Gask Farm, which we chose because we would be able to bring our dog. Our warm and friendly hosts Gill and Chris have created wonderful holiday homes here, beautifully and thoughtfully equipped, with a very peaceful and relaxing ambience. Nothing has been too much trouble and we loved the welcoming touch of the freshly laid eggs! Gask Farm is truly welcoming for dogs as there are large fenced off areas in which to exercise them and let them run free, in the midst of beautiful countryside. There is also the fascinating stone circle. We will assuredly be back for more as soon as possible.

Loved my week at Clava Cottage. Prompt responses from Gill throughout the booking process and a warm welcome on arrival.
Great location with rural views and very convenient for touring the surrounding area with easy access into Inverness and back on to the A9. So much to see and do, all with in easy reach.

Clava cottage is delightful - furnished to a high standard and so comfortable and homely - could just move in! I look forward to my next stay at Clava. Thank you for the wonderful facilities. Marie and wee Trixie (my Cairn Terrier, who has given Clava the official Paw of Approval, on her first holiday!)

Quiet location with beautiful view from the kitchen. Still within easy reach of Inverness.
Comfortable bed, great shower and all utensils for cooking. If it's raining and you stay indoors there's a great TV, Blu-ray player and a sound bar for entertainment.
Very clean and well maintained....no concerns staying here during these uncertain times.

This cottage was just beautiful, everything you could possibly need and wonderful hosts in Gill and Chris.
We were lucky to have good weather and it was lovely to enjoy a glass or two on the terrace after a day exploring the area.

This place is simply wonderful. The cottage and facilities are first class. The owners, Gill and Chris, provided us with some very handy local advice re. walks, hot spots etc. which ensured we maximised our holiday experience. Within the local area there are plenty of things to do for the outdoors type, alternatively you can put your feet up, load the log-burner and read a good book. It is a location that has everything and is pet friendly.

We had another short break this year at the beginning of November at Gask House, this time in Clava Cottage. It was lovely and clean. Great views of the countryside. Only a short distance from Inverness and a bonus at the time was that the restaurants were not closed due to lockdown rules. Cottage well equipped. Bed very comfortable. Gill and Chris very welcoming. Highly recommend Gask House.

Everything about this cottage was amazing. Perfect peaceful location. 10 minute drive from Inverness town and shops. Lots of walking/running routes both on the doorstep or nearby. The host was excellent and made us feel welcome and that nothing was too much trouble. We cannot wait to visit again.

The quality of the accommodation at Gask House is first class. Everything inside the cottage feels very new and clean. There was everything you could possibly want for a self-catering stay. The grounds around the cottage are well maintained and there are fields to run your dogs should you have them. Gill and Chris were very welcoming and happy to advise on local places of interest. Thoroughly recommend and hope to return.

This was our second visit to the cottage and what a fantastic get away it is. Not only was it perfectly clean and has everything you could possibly need, but it's both peaceful and close enough to Inverness to enjoy city life and a quiet retreat! Gill was the perfect host and so easy to deal with, while her two lab dogs were gorgeous and an added bonus.
There's lots of great walks nearby and of course Loch Ness and Inverness.
We can't wait to come back again and hope others enjoy this great cottage like we have.

Just back from an extended stay at Clava Cottage, originally only booked 3 nights but managed to extend to 4. Accommodation was perfect for us. Very clean and had everything we needed. Great views surrounding the area. Managed a few local walks in between sunny showers! Definitely recommend and would stay here again if in the area.

We have just returned from a fantastic 3-night staycation at the wonderful Gask House Farm Cottages. Upon arrival we were greeted by Gill and shown around our cottage. She ensured that the transfer of keys and key documents was carrier our contact free and we could tell from our initial look around that the cottage was extremely clean and spotless. It was our home away from home and had all of the essentials!

Our cottage was very modern and we absolutely loved the bathroom shower, it was so relaxing after a long day exploring this beautiful part of Scotland. The views from the cottage are stunning and Gill and Chris were more than happy to show us around their land and tell us about the history of their cottages. The cottages are situated in a great location, about 15-20 minutes from Inverness town centre and close to amenities if needed.

After 4 months of being cooped up in Lockdown, this was the perfect staycation. Modern, clean and safe! Thank you to Gill and Chris for being fabulous hosts, we will be back again very soon!
