Was a bit unsure what to expect as there were no photos on the website specifically for the carpenters cottage. Great kitchen with everything you would need for a stay. Dishwasher and washing machine were great additions. It took a while to get the cottage warm but once it was it kept the heat well. A log burner would have been a lovely finishing touch! Would return.
The Boathouse was the most amazing 4 days cut off from Internet...phone...people but not from Nature, fantastic views and absolute peace and quiet...throw in the winter frost, zero light pollution and clear skies, stargazing on the open deck and panorama windows it was magical.
This year we spent our third visit to Tomich Holidays (after 2018 and 2019). We stayed in one of the apartments in the main building. And as usual everyone at Tomich tried their best to make us comfortable and support us during our stay. A highlight (considering it is a farm and in a somewhat remote location in the highlands) is the pool, which we used almost every day. Other than that: If you like Scotland and the highlands in particular, you've come to thr right place. Once again we enjoyed our stay. The cottage was warm (the new radiators are a great improvement and were a great boon in the very cold weather we experienced), comfortable and well-equipped. We particularly appreciated the porch which provided ample space for boots, wellies and shoes and which enabled us to keep the cold outside at bay.
nice location, a bit aged but charming. good with kids. if you like nature and quietness - give it a go.
We love the quietness, the fantastic location, being able to use the swimming pool privately and the games room. We think the lodges offer good value for a larger family when you consider the use of the swimming pool on site. We stayed in October. The lodges don't look super luxurious inside but they are very functional, plenty of bedroom space and cosy when you use the heating. A good quality firm king size mattress (currently it's a double) and better quality non-stick pans and kitchen utensils would have been really appreciated.
