Stone built cottage with wi-fi, sleeping 2 adults and 2 children in master bedroom with king size or x twin beds, plus bunk bed room downstairs for under 16s only.

Absolutely stunning.

Great base for exploring this beautiful part of Scotland. Staff were excellent. Peaceful setting with nature on your doorstep- the birds were amazing. Can leave the car at the cottage as there’s good walking in the immediate area.

The Victorian Dairy Cottage proved to be the perfect base to explore Glen Affric and the surrounding countryside. The mountains were challenging so it was good to come back to a comfortable place to recover! The Caledonian Pine forest is breathtaking and worth exploring at a leisurely place.

This is the third time we have stayed at the Dairy, each time we have stayed the staff have been friendly and helpful. The accommodation is just what we needed and the walks and weather were superb.

Hiking, cycling, running, on your doorstep!
Feels like a real escape, beautiful woodlands a 2 min walk away, some great mountains just a short drive. Quiet gravel bike rides for miles.
The accommodation had everything you could need. Even a good freezer so we could stock up for two weeks and not have to visit the supermarket.
Would love to go back sometime.

This was the third time we’ve had a holiday break at Tomich Holidays which is testament to the fact that it is a great place. It’s location is superb being close to the spectacular Plodda Falls and a short drive into the fantastic Glen Affric. If you like trees this is a place for you with the Caledonian Forest Scots pines being particularly spectacular. Many say that Glen Affric is the finest glen in Scotland and having visited many on our travels we wouldn’t disagree.

The accommodation is not flash and wouldn’t suit the bling brigade. The facilities are pitched right for those who are looking for essential comfort, attractive setting, a quiet place to relax and a convenient base to explore the natural beauty. That said the swimming pool is a bonus after energetic days in the hills. The swimming pool needs to be booked in the evening which allows private enjoyment of the pool. There’s plenty of space for children to enjoy the outside with play equipment provided.

As to the cottage it had adequate facilities for what we required. While the dairy is separate from the other accommodation it has a limited outlook with the living space having a north facing small window. This didn’t matter to us as we were out most of the day but if you wish to be around the place for long periods then this particular unit is probably not for you. Also, the heating system is very noisy and comes on at around 4am but the night heating cycle can be switched off allowing a peaceful night’s sleep.

Finally you are strongly advised to bring a midge net. While the accommodation was largely free of midges, Glen Affric is not a place to hang around for a picnic in the midge season. If you do want a picnic climb one of the many high mountains in the glen.

Glad to hear that you enjoyed the amazing scenery right on the doorstep here at Tomich Holidays. Sorry that the hot water tank was noisy but we have now replaced the element to remedy that. Hope to see you back in Tomich again. Best wishes
