Monnington House is a wonderful venue for a family and friends gathering. The house is beautifully decorated with comfortable and stylish furnishings and overall provides a warm and welcoming space. The kitchen is very well-equipped with ample crockery, cutlery, cookware, glasses for a large group as well as two ovens, two hobs, an Aga stove, two dishwashers and all in a space large enough for a number of chefs. We booked Monnington House & Cider Mill for an extended family gathering, with ages from 15 to 85 meeting up from across the country. Directions were easy to follow, location was convenient & surroundings were beautiful in amongst the apple orchards. The house was lovely with plenty of space & everything we needed, including comfortable beds, nice bathrooms & a great kitchen fully equipped to cater for 24. Would be tricky to do without cars but would definitely book again.
Beautiful Monnington House and Garden Cottage had everything we needed for a perfect family gathering. Set in beautiful countryside, it was spotlessly clean, extremely well equipped and had plenty of room for our party of 18, while still being warm & cosy. Games room was a big hit and the welcome hamper a lovely touch. Host was easily contactable & ensured we made the most of our visit with lots of tips and local information. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Monnington to friends & family.
We stayed at the Cider Barn with friends. We liked the fact that there were 3 ensuite bedrooms. The Cider Mill is so well equiped and very comfortable. The garden is beautiful and the weather was good enough to sit outside and even have a BBQ. It is a very good place to visit for relaxation, peace and quiet, visiting gardens, villages, as well as walking near the River Wye. We thoroughly recommend staying here.
