We found the apartment comfortable, spacious in a good location. I enjoyed walking to Pentire Headland and Fistral Beach from the apartment.

Nice and spacious appartment with sea view. Very close to Fistral Beach and Crantock Beach. There are several grest Bars and Restaurants around the corner (fern pit & lewinnick lodge). Supermarket 15 mins by foot.

Superb apartment in n amazing location. Very well equipped and very spacious. Only downside was lack of parking facilities if you have two cars.

With regard to parking, all apartment blocks only have one designated ca space for a two bedroom apartment which I am sure you realise. However, as you would have seen there is visitor parking on site and also parking bays on the road outside Spinnakers you could have used. We look forward to seeing you again next year.

Great week excellent apartment and all the facilities needed were available.
I would just say the welcome folder needs updating there seemed bits added on and the departure time in the folder was not the same as in the email received

8 Spinnakers is a lovely apartment in a fantastic location on Pentire headland just south of Fistral beach.

We had booked for Easter 2020 but due to Covid had to move the booking, first to 2021 and then 2022. On both occasions Self Cater Cornwall were prompt to make contact and offer the option to move at no additional cost.

Email communication in advance was clear and outlined details for parking and key collection as well as contact details to deal with any issues that should arise.

The apartment really is far larger than the images suggest. The living area really seems almost disproportionately large for a two bedroom apartment, with a fully equipped kitchen including oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, filter coffee machine (bring some ground coffee), crockery, cutlery, glassware, pots, pans, stoneware and Tupperware as well as a washing machine and dishwasher.

There is a good sized dining table for four adults and a sitting area with two large sofas, TV with Netflix and a balcony with room for two adults to sit and enjoy the spectacular views of Fistral beach and beyond. There is also BT Wi-Fi in the apartment, I have seen reviews suggesting that it is not reliable but found it no less reliable than would normally be expected of BT and generally seemed to work well.

Scones, with jam and cream as well as tea bags, coffee, sugar and a pint of milk were provided and very welcome on arrival after a long journey. There were also a few dishwasher tablets as well as washing up liquid, cleaning/disinfectant spray, soap, dishcloth and tea towel. Perfect at least as a starter if not more long lasting.

The master bedroom is large with a firm but comfortable king bed (can be separated into two large singles - 6 feet wide) plenty of storage and a further TV. The en-suite is also large with separate bath and shower cubicle.

The second bedroom is a good size with two slightly smaller (standard size) but comfortable single beds, cupboard, drawers and bedside tables as well as another TV.

The family bathroom is again of a good size with a shower over a bath that I’d anticipate being big enough for most.

Elsewhere there is further storage with an iron, ironing board, airer, hoover etc. and although we didn’t have any requirement for them I noticed a travel cot and high chair in the cupboard adjacent to the front door.

The flat is on the first floor, parking immediately outside the main door and is situated approximately a 10 minute (quite steep in places and down some steps) walk from the beach, no more than a five minute drive to the town centre. You can also walk out onto the headland where there is a lovely pub/restaurant and further great views of Fistral and Crantock beaches.

Next door is a hotel with a bar but this was quiet and generally the flats were all very peaceful.

We had a minor issue with the thermostat while we were staying but contact with Jenny very quickly rectified the issue and it was reassuring to know that there were friendly and helpful people on hand if anything minor needed addressing as will inevitably crop up from time to time.

I would happily stay here again if visiting the Newquay area and would recommend to family and friends. The only note of caution would be to particularly light sleepers or parents of young children who do not yet use clocks to identify when to get up that the blinds do not fully block out the sun (which you get more of in the evening than the morning in any case) and although this caused us no issue it may be more of an issue in the height of summer but really only to those as above.

On the whole, a great choice for a place to stay, clean, tidy and in a great location with all you could want in a home away from home.

Lovely spacious modern apartment with fabulous sea view.Generally well equipped and we would certainly consider booking again if there were improvements regarding furnishings etc are main concern was all the beds were far to firm for our liking.
Particularly the second bedroom would be greatly improved with a linked zipped bed and carpet, footstools and occasional tables for lounge area, Chair/stool for Bathrooms, some of the crockery needs replacing
We would definitely give this apartment a lot higher marks if comfort issues were addressed

With a 90 year old parent accompanying us, this flat was perfect for her needs - one level with lift access. Clean, spacious and comfortable for us all.
AFIs:
There were a couple of lamps out which, despite our best efforts, we were unable to replace. This was mildly inconvenient - especially the hall lamp as there was no daylight so we entered into darkness. It would also have been better if bathroom cleaning products had been provided (especially as they ask us to keep the place clean). Clean linen was provided on our mid weekend, but delivered early morning (I don’t want to have to leap out of bed at the crack of dawn to strip and make up beds on my hols). Apart from these very minor niggles I would highly recommended this beautiful apartment. The managing agents were also very helpful.

This is a beautiful apartment with lovely views. It was spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped
You can walk to fistral beach or Crantock, although the walk back is steep so may not suit everyone. We walked into Newquay centre too -15 mins walk The Fern Pit cafe makes a delightful stop overlooking the river Gannel, a few minutes walk from the apartment
Only slight complaint was we all found the beds uncomfortable - but that may be just personal preference - otherwise a fabulous holiday helped along by sunny weather.
