Our 2nd stay at 34 Zinc. Wasn't quite as clean as last time, but still generally good. Strangely there were no coat hangers in the twin bedroom wardrobes - I note this has been commented on before!! The Letting Agent Rep brought some round for us on the Monday.
The apartment is good and we love the location, it is so convenient for everything. Yes the road can be a bit noisy but we are used to that anyway and don't stay here expecting absolute peace & quiet either!!
The apartment is good but the whole Zinc property as a whole is starting to show signs of age & lack of maintenance. Inside the apartment itself some of the doors no longer close properly (main bedroom & ensuite doors in particular). Out of the apartment, the corridors have not been repainted (ever, I think??!!) and show lots of scuff marks, some of the 'security' doors on the lower ground were propped open because the lock pads are faulty, the bins area smells really badly, and I'm glad we weren't too close to the undercroft garage door, which makes a heck of a racket when opening or closing - needs some grease on it!!!
A shame as it detracts from the luxury status this property had when new. I realise this is beyond the apartment owners or the letting Agent's remit, but maybe they can pass this on to the building owner - that seems to have changed, with a new sign in the lifts that wasn't there last year. I forgot to make a note of the name, sorry.
We would like to be back next year but our preferred times in September are already sold out!!!

Further to your comments about your stay at this apartment we would like to correct some of your observations. The holiday lettings rep is actually the owner's housekeeper and if the apartment wasn't as clean as you would have liked it you should have advised her of this within the first 24 hours of arrival. To mention it but not highlight it so something could have been done about it would have been fairer and more positive. Your overall comments were based on the building itself and the management company have some of these tasks in hand so hopefully they will be done by the time you come again next year.

We loved staying at 34 Zinc, it really did feel like a home away from home.
The location was perfect and walking distance to everything we needed.
The beach, the town centre, park and shops.

This apartment was amazing, kept at a very high standard everything that you need in the kitchen. I suffer with chronic back pain but the bed was so comfortable. The apartment has amazing views over the sea and golf course, perfect location fistral beach is located at the end of the road, a five minute walk into town. The underground parking was ideal and very secure. We have holidayed in Newquay many times plenty of places to visit close by, we visited St Michaels Mount, St Ives, Port Isaac and Padstow. If you fancy a different beach from Fistral, Perranporth has an amazing beach half an hour drive away. Contact with the owners was very efficient as we left this until the last minute. We would definately love to stay here again.

Probably our favourite place to stay in Newquay. Fantastic location within easy walking distance to pubs, restaurants and of course the majestic Fistral.
Great views to enjoy from the sun- drenched balcony.
Only a couple of slight concerns, the drainage in the onsuite shower was very poor, in danger of overflowing the shower tray after only a short shower.
Also the toilet seat could do with replacing, showing signs of age.




Just a couple of niggles this time .....

This was our second stay at 34 Zinc and as usual there was pretty much everything on hand in the apartment to make for a lovely week. Perfect position, allocated parking a plus, lovely balcony, pub/restaurant two minute walk away!

This time we did have a couple of minor problems though:
.. key safe code had been updated but wasn't the one shown in our email, so we couldn't get our keys out of the safe;
.. only barely warm water on one morning.
These two were dealt with very quickly, pleasantly and efficiently by the Guest Liaison team.

I was surprised to find absolutely no clothes hangers in the twin bedroom wardrobes. Luckily we always pack a few each just in case.

Lastly, the guide that is recommended to download to your phone showed the wrong wifi code, but that was quickly sorted by looking at the router.

None of this would stop us from coming back again. Already thinking of dates!

This is the second time we've stayed in this apartment. It's in a great location and everything we would need in there. Like many rentals there are some redecorating needed but nothing wrong with that.

We are staying again later in the year and can't wait.

We had a lovely stay in this gorgeous apartment, it had everything we needed and the parking space was great.
The view from the balcony was brilliant even though we stayed through Storm Ciaran.
Our holiday here was perfect and we would love to come back again.

WE HAVE STAY AT No,34 ZINC FOR MANY YEARS, I THINK THIS WAS ARE 8th YEAR, DO I NEED TO SAY ANY MORE!!

GREAT PLACE, ALWAYS VERY CLEAN, GREAT PEOPLE TO DEAL WITH, PARKING, (only 1 parking ticket) MY FAULT I KNOW THE RULES, SO MAKE SURE YOU GET THE PASS ON THAT SCREEN ASAP!

We love the Zinc apartments in Newquay and have stayed in a few over the years, this was our first stay at number 34, and it is the best one of them all.
Very clean and comfortable, everything there you need for a great stay.

Comfortable, spacious and very well equipped, (with the added bonus of knowing you have an allotted car parking space), Surfside 34 Zinc is a fabulous apartment with pretty much everything you need during your time away from home. Exceptionallty positioned for the beach, the town, restaurants, bus station, lovely walks, or just chiilling on the spacious balcony enjoying the views across the golf course to the sea.

Already checking out dates for next year!

Our visit to Newquay wonderful.

Not only is the apartment situated in a great location, close to Fistral beach and shops, the apartment itself is beautiful. With modern balconies from the lounge and the 2 bedrooms, with views of the beach and golf course with rabbits!

The apartment had everything anyone could ask for. Really comfortable and felt like home.

We needed some help when we arrived. Tired and exhausted after 8 hours drive + brain not functioning despite clear instructions. Within minutes someone was there to show us what to do + locate keys etc.

Once in apartment, we had further queries, so called Jo again late afternoon.
Jo arrived within minutes to help us. She was lovely and very helpful.

34 Zinc is one of the loveliest place we have stayed.
We clearly hit the jackpot!

Mum used to visit Newquay frequently with dad, who passed away 8 years ago. Mum wanted to revisit Newquay with us. So, this was a special trip.

Thank you to the wonderful and thoughtful team and owners who have made our stay memorable.



Great position good value ,everything you could want for an enjoyable holiday.

Super position on Headland Road Newquay within walking distance of Fistral Beach opposite Newquay golf club and within walking distance of a range of superb restaurants and quality shops.
The apartment offers safe car parking ,a lift to all floors with a balcony central to the warm sunshine.
A minor point of criticism is that a non slip mat should be available for the shower in the bathroom.

This is a fantastic place to base your holiday and we have enjoyed using this apartment for quite a few years now but unfortunately the prices are rising sharply each year and sadly we are going to have to find somewhere cheaper in the future to use.

Apartment was spacious and in a great location with a fabulous view of fistral beach and the golf course. The balcony had all day sun making it perfect to sit and relax.

The beds were the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in with perfect pillows, duck down quilts and beautiful quality bed linen. Absolutely top quality. The towels provided were lovely, fluffy white, clean and again good quality.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the apartment and would definitely consider hiring the apartment again in the future.

There were a number of low key condition/maintenance issues with the apartment which would benefit from being addressed but were minor and did not detract from the enjoyment of our stay. These have been reported to the apartments management team to ensure the property is in top condition.

Lovely flat. Perfect for access to Fistral to surf with the outside shower and board store being very useful. Had some great weather so the balcony was a nice spot even in October. Easy access and key collection.

Lovely clean and spacious apartment, walking distance to the town centre and Fistral beach. Jo was fantastic, helped with a couple of issues and nothing was too much trouble. Only criticism was noise from traffic and pedestrians going to and from the beach, sometimes very late at night.
