We have just returned from Forte Village and overall had a wonderful 7 nights holiday there. There were 4 of us travelling (2 adults and 2 boys aged 7 and 6). I was a little apprehensive as I had read some recent reviews on Tripadvisor that had worried me, but upon arrival to our suite (we had originally booked Bouganville) but had been upgraded to La Palme which was a lovely surprise! We were located very centrally (but everything is well within walking distance). Laura at reception had booked us straight into the 3 main restaurants that are included in the half board feature. The facilities that are included for children are amazing- the aquapark provided hours of fun, children's wonderland and Pistillo's show every evening kept them entertained. We didn't try the academies as this was our first visit to Forte Village and they are not cheap, but then if you are being taught by the best, it's going to come at a cost. We will definitely book our boys onto the rugby and boxing academy next year.
The beach and sea at Forte is as good as Mauritius/Barbados in my opinion, just a lot more busy (not as many palm trees!) The beach beds are very comfortable too.

The pools at Forte are amazing, lots of different options. My favorite was the Oasis pool, the downside was you needed to queue at 10:00am to be in with a chance of a bed/cabana. I did overhear a couple next to me saying beds could be "reserved" the night before for €40, but we didn't do this and not too sure how true this is? Instead we spent the morning at the Aqua park where we always got a bed and then around 3pm went to Oasis where beds then became available.

Restaurants/Food
Breakfast Buffet- fantastic food, everything you could want for breakfast. The only thing missing was fresh orange juice. There is a live singer every morning and it's just gorgeous to eat your breakfast listening to soft music and looking at the pool- perfect. It can become busy at times, but you can always get what you need.

Pineta Buffet- lovely restaurant and lots of variety. The boys loved helping themselves to the food and all the food we had was absolutely delicious. Yes, there are wasps, but they were mainly around the seafood. There's not an awful lot you can do, no point covering the food as I am sure not everyone will bother to put the covers back in place after they have finished.

Brasilia (Brazilian restaurant)- Food was nice, chairs uncomfortable and service was all over the place. This restaurant didn't blow us away. It has real potential, but just needs a tweak here and there.

Sardo (Traditional Sardinian cuisine)- Food was good, again chairs uncomfortable and service wasn't great here. The Maitre D was a bit more "on it" but the chef's timings were out. 3 of us had our mains and had finished by the time mine was served.

Hells Kitchen- I cannot fault this restaurant. The food, wine, service and ambiance was spot on! We had the most wonderful evening here. Such a shame the service in the other restaurants were not matched.

Tiki Beach- Wow what a place! Loved it. The cocktails are so good €25 or thereabouts. There is a DJ and you look out over the sea and honestly the ambiance is magic- loved this place.

Acquapark Bar- I have to mention how amazing the staff are at this place. So friendly and happy to help and always with a smile on their faces. They should be commended for their service especially the lovely young lady (I didn't get her name) she wore a bandana type hairband and lovely young man (again missed his name). The cheese and ham toasties here are very reasonably priced and my boys loved them.

Nightly Entertainment
The entertainment was very good. There is a baby dance from 21:30 which is quite late, but Sardinians are used to eating late and taking their time over their food, so you just go with the flow and adjust the kids sleeps. We would typically come back from the pools around 16:30pm, all have an afternoon sleep so we were refreshed for the evenings entertainment. Pistillo's show was fantastic, it's a kind of slap stick comedy and my boys thought it was just great. After Pistillo there is the cabaret and all of the performers are of very good standard.

Down sides
Beach staff- told us we couldn't use the beds that looked free as they had been "reserved" when I asked how do we reserve? They couldn't answer me and just walked off. It might of been that they couldn't speak English, but they just needed to say "I don't understand" they literally left me hanging and really wound me up!

Sweets in room
Each room has 6 glass jars and each jar has a selection of penny sweets or nuts which you think is complimentary. We found out upon check out that they wanted to charge €12 for each jar!! I think this is really poor on the customer service front, for the amount of money that each family spends at the resort, come on, throw some complimentary penny sweets in jeez!

Waiters/waitresses
Most seemed very inexperienced. Perhaps they are all new since Covid and just finding their feet, but they need urgent training to bring them up to speed as it really lets Forte down.

Golf buggies/bikes
I think they could benefit from having lane markings especially for the bikes/buggies as can be quite dangerous for the walkers at times.

Forte Village reminded me a lot of Centre Parcs but more luxurious. It has everything that children want/need to have an amazing holiday. For adults the beach, pools and food is great. It's not a cheap holiday buy any means, you are looking at London prices for drinks and lunches, but if you allow for this then it's fine. The academies are about €500-600 approx per week, you can also book group lessons around €130 per child per hour. As long as you are aware of the costs before you go you shouldn't have any unexpected surprises. The academies are expensive, but your children are being taught by amazing trainers so it comes at a price. I think Forte is a special place and with a few tweaks here and there especially with customer service, it will have return guests year on year.

Very nice overall but sometimes lacking in service-i.e had to remind reception about several things needed in room and waitering service on some restaurants very slow, on one occasion I had my meal a good half hour before the rest of my family sat at the same table who ordered at the same time.
Breakfast was slightly limited.

Absoloultely fab for the kids - and I'd say that for all age ranges. Food is great and the complex is beautiful and safe. However, although the staff are very nice the overall service can be slow, sometimes non existent, and that's the only bit that does not make this 5* in my opinion. We will return for sure, as we know what to expect, and you can see that people who keep coming back get treated with just a little more care.

We were disappointed with the level of service . For £550/ night one expects excellent service , decent wifi ( unable to access all holiday too slow), coffee machine in room, regular complimentary water, and easy access to loungers . Firstly we were not aware of the different tiers of hotels, leading to different access and supplements to restaurants . The breakfast was poor, no coffees at tables, under catered . The breakfast should be the highlight . Unfortunately this place is a victim of its success and as a result they are not delivering the service one expects. Also there were too many hidden extras eg 400 euros for barbie academy !, overpriced toiletries in resort shop, 95 euros to access spa , 155 euros for 50 minute massage. However the entertainment, pools and beautiful sea were impressive . The children loved it but we expected more for the price .Porto Sani, Costa navarino , Borgo egnazia far shine in service and consistency compared to forte village .

The Fortee Village has something to offer for everyone. it is set in a beautiful pine forest by the beach. It has various pools and many restaurants. I am amazed how many sad must work here. This is my second trip and I will be returning again.

We had a great holiday in every way - food, weather, activities, beach, pools, spa, surroundings. Fantastic for kids, as well as adults, including my 80 year old mother.
