We had a great time. The house is very comfortable and well equipped with everything a family might need. John was very welcoming, helpful and informative about local attractions, eateries etc. The area is beautiful, the house situated approx 20 mins outside Wexford and just a couple of kilometres from lovely Kilmore Quay. Would love to have stayed for longer!

John and Helen, the owners of Kilmore Cottages could not be nicer. They are very personable and efficient. Kilmore is a very quiet, restful location. Living in the city, we immediately felt the benefits of being in a rural area. You can sit outside the cottage to read or have breakfast etc. There is plenty of space for friends to share or for children to play. The cottage is well-supplied with all mod cons.

The beautiful Ballyhealy beach is nearby, or Carne beach is about half an hour away. The village of Kilmore Quay provides lovely cafes, while the small beach to the left of the harbour is beautiful for swimming when the tide is in. Highly recommend.

John and Helen were very attentive and lovely to deal with. The cottage was reasonably priced and well-equipped. It is situated in a lovely area, near Mary Barry's pub which has great food and also near a safe beach. Kilmore Quay is about five minutes away. The weather in this part of the world tends to be lovely which is a great advantage also.

We booked the cottage for a weeks stay. We had a wheelchair user with us and the house was just perfect so accessible for the user. We also had small kids and there was a highchair and cot in the house. There was also a lovely playing area which the kids enjoyed. I would highly recommend for families and in particular wherlchair users. We will be back next year

We stayed in Kilmore Cottage, chosen to accommodate elderly parents with some mobility issues. The cottage is lovely very comfortable with everything you could need for a short self-catering break. It accommodated 6 adults easily, and was spotlessly clean. The garden is very peaceful with a picnic table and plenty of chairs to relax in. Hosts John and Helen were really helpful with information and recommendations for the local area. Would highly recommend these cottages, especially if you need wheelchair / disability access and facilities.

We had a lovely stay in Kilmore Cottages. It was suitable for wheelchair users which we also needed. All the comforts of home and just a short drive to Kilmore Quay. John was very attentive and if we needed anything we need only ask once and it was sorted.

Jobn n Helen could not have been more helpful whe anything was needed . We had two wheelchair users and John managed to rearrange furniture etc to accommodate us. It is a lovely bungalow and the location is amazing, so close to Kilmore Quay. We had lovely walks there and met the 2 resident seals! Looking forward to our next visit

The only difficulty we had was that the hoist we hired had too great a footprint for the space and the door saddles were a bit high for our daughters chair. This location would not be suitable for those in power/ power assist or moulded chairs with slightly wider bases as the vestibule between the downstairs bedroom/ bathroom and living room is a bit small. It is an older house and delightful and it is the only issue we had with our stay - John was good enough to remove a door to assist us.

We spend an extended period at Kilmore Cottage in 2022, John and Helen were great to deal with and on hand to provide any assistance required promptly and efficiently. The cottage itself is cosy warm and traditional and spacious, the central heating works well in winter. The location is just outside the village and is a short walk to all amenities.

We have a fabulous time in kilmore cottages, the house was so cosy and warm, it had washing n drying facilities which came in very handy. The wheelchair got in around the house, open wash room down stairs, we brought all the necessary items we needed for the house. John was very helpful and called a number of times to make sure we had everything we needed. Fab location to all the near attractions. A fabulous restaurant 5mins walk from house called Mary Barry's, food was amazing, takeaway options aswel, shop was open a few mins walk from house aswel. We would definitely recommend it.

We've stayed here every summer for more than a decade, our extended family taking all three cottages together for a week in the summer. We love the peace and quiet, the location beside the farm and the personal attention from the owners. The cottages are ideally located for exploring all round the county with great walks, birding and wild-life, beaches and a very comfortable base to venture out from, and also to rest and relax at.

Hosts Helen and John provided amazing service throughout our stay. The cottage itself was perfect for a family of six, and it felt very safe particularly in these times. It was excellently kitted out to be a home away from home.
The children were also invited to see the host's nearby small farm, which we all really enjoyed and it was a lovely touch. Very close to the local village and restaurant, and in a lovely part of Wexford close to beautiful beaches and scenery. Would recommend Kilmore Cottages to any family looking for a restful break- perfectly kitted out for small children.

the cottage had everything we needed for our short breakaway. The owners were on hand if we needed anything but were not intrusive.There is plenty of outside space and its only a short walk to MARY BARRYS BAR here you can have some excellent food from an extensive menu. The owners left HI VIS jackets for us so we would be safe on way home {well done}

Hello all, myself and my family have been holidaying in Wexford since I was a little girl. We absolutely love it and have always been very lucky with the weather. I am now taking my grandchildren on holidays there and am giving them the same wonderful memories that I have. Kilmore Cottage is in an excellent location, close to beach which is rather stoney but gets great sunshine. It only takes 20 minutes to get into Wexford town but there are plenty of local shops for groceries. The cottage itself is comfortable with plenty of space in bedrooms and living area. I would recommend it as a holiday location.

The house was just right for us ; and only one of the seven days was overcast the rest were lovely . The Grandchildren loved the visit to the farm and the Donkeys , the beack was very clean and social distancing was kept , the Saltee chipper was ideal and the local restaurant Barry's had a lovely atmosphere and great food.I had to promise to go back again next year and not to leave booking too late . We all had a great break . Why go any further than the Sunny south East ?

We loved staying in these well-equipped roomy group of cottages. Because they are off the road with lots of outdoor space they are ideal and safe for a family with young children. Walking distance to a shop and a great couple of pubs and a short drive from an amazing beach. Absolutely perfect for an Irish family reunion.

I have stayed at these cottages before, as a young adult with my parents, as a mother with my children and now as a grandmother with my grandsons.
I have never had a bad experience and the weather has ALWAYS been fantabulous !!
This year my son, my daughter, her partner and their two boys (2 years and 7 months) and myself enjoyed another sun filled week by the sea.
I would highly recommend a visit to this part of the country and a stay in Kilmore Cottage.
There were lots of highlights but the evening that we were brought over to see the donkeys, calves and chickens was just the best as my 2 year old grandson had a ball collecting eggs in the chicken house.

Stayed here for 8 nights family of 2 adults and 4 children. Loads of space for kids to play. Very peaceful location and only 20 mins from wexford. Everything we needed was under one roof. The owner John is a lovely man and gave us great tips for places to go. The kids even got to collect eggs from the hens. Would highly recommend a stay here for a family that want a home away from home

We had the three cottages with a large group form a disability day care service and the cottages were just perfect. There was plenty of space and the area between the cottages is safe and allowed for people to wander freely between the houses - they loved this , calling into each other visiting !

The cottages themselves were well equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The weather was not good during our das but there was plenty to do in the locality ie bowling, cinema. The local pubs were also friendly and welcoming and proved to be a big hit with our group.

Our host John was very attentive and was on hand to make sure all was well and everyone happy - a visit to the chickens on his farm providing us with free range eggs was great fun - even in the rain.

On speaking to the group on our return home, all have requested that we go back next year for another holiday so this speaks for itself in terms of success......

Wheelchair friendly stay. Unfortunately some door saddles are fairly high and this can make it difficult for some users. But it's well maintained and both Helen and john make every effort to accommodate every need. For example John came down with homemade brown bread and fresh eggs straight from the farm. We traveled all over wexford including hook lighthouse which is a must. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back

We stayed in August 2018. Myself, husband, my parents and our 4yo and 1yo, for 7 nights. Value for money was excellent and the cottage was brilliant. The kids absolutely loved it and had a ball. Toys, a boat, football goal and a large open space to play was ideal with kids. The accommodation was excellent with a great layout for us and our family.
We would definitely come back again. John gave us a tour of their farm which our 4yo loved and even brought us back to meet the calves he had bought. We felt very welcomed. Location is perfect with a centra just up the road to fill the fridge. Kilmore Quay is less than a 10 minute drive away too. Wexford town itself is a simple 15 minute drive away also.

John gave us great advice about the area and recommended a few attractions. The house was one of the best equipped and cleanest I’ve stayed, I highly recommend to any family and we will definitely have repeat stay in the future. Everything was more than fine during our stay at Kilmore cottage. We all liked it very much. It was a pity we didn’t have time enough to spend around the cottage, due to plan was engaged with Saltee iceland, getting up very early and coming back late by night. Anyway we enjoyed a comfort level more than great during the hours around the cottage.

Hope to come back maybe next year.

We stayed in Kilmore Cottages from my Mam's 60th Birthday. There were 12 adults and 5 children. It was a brilliant weekend. The cottages are equipt with everything you could need. From highchairs, cots and stair gates for the kids. Toys and games to keep everyone entertained. Also my aunt is in a wheelchair so everthing was perfect for here. The owners are so friendly and couldn't have done more for us. We will definitely be back again!

Cottage very comfortable,wonderful for our wheelchair bound son.
Lovely and quiet,easily accessible for local restaurants and pubs,nearest town has all facilities required with a larger town with all major supermarkets a short car ride away.
Our hosts did all they could for our comfort and showed us their farm at close quarters!The chickens in the garden a nice touch and my grandson loved collecting eggs daily.
Another wonderful Irish holiday!!
