What a delightful place to stay. The grounds of Upper Court are stunning. The Dovecote conversion has been beautifully executed, and has retained its original character. It is cosy, but is well equipped for self-catering, and offers both inside and outside seating. There are great local walks, a fabulous village pub and cafe, which are both just a short walk away. The staff and owner were super friendly and helpful. One possible hazard is the stair gate at the threshold of the upper floor, it has the potential to cause someone to trip.

We spent an idyllic week staying at the Dovecote. It was a perfect little haven of peace and quiet. To be able to walk out of the door into nature, walking the gardens, standing at the waters edge watching the comings and goings of the Ducks and Moorhens was bliss, you couldn't help but be in the moment, a perfect antidote to a busy working life, even if it was for just a few days. We had a regular visitor of Robin who popped into the kitchen for the odd crumb left behind by our two small Dogs who were warmly welcomed. We took advantage of all the activities that were available, we rowed around Swan's Island, played table tennis, swam in the pool and luxuriated in the sauna..... Perfect. There are a number of lovely walks around the pretty village, though our Dogs are elderly so we couldn't walk them too far. The owners, family and staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I had realised that Robin hadn't been in that day and while sitting on the stone bench, a flutter of something took my eye in the attic window..... there he was, he had obviously gone in to visit and been locked in, within 30 minutes of me contacting the family, he was flying free again..... not to sound too poetic, but that is how my soul felt in those few peaceful days in the Dovecote. We would love to stay again, hopefully soon.

If you are looking to stay in a living part of English history this is the ideal venue. A beautiful Manor House and outbuildings that offer modern amenities but still give you the feel that you are enjoying a historical experience. Our party consisted of members from the Usa, Asia and Europe and so it provided a unique experience. The number of buildings and cottages means that larger parties can be catered for with each group having their own unique accommodation. Part of the fun was visiting all the different rooms as every one was unique.
We hired the Gallery so all the group could join together at meal times and it became the hub for our group. There are also lots of activities of which most are free although there are some with an additional charge
Overall a great place especially for a large group.

What can I say. The setting, the grounds, the cottage. How can you describe such tranquil surrounding where the cottage makes you feel at one with nature. You can sit on the window cushion or in the four poster and watch as cygnets and moorhens and ducks float by outside. Walk around the grounds and spot the cheeky heron, a red kite flying over, or perhaps a wily fox on its rounds. The underfloor heating downstairs in The Dovecote made it so snug and there really is everything you need for a couple for a lovely weekend away. The village itself is charming too, with a cute little pub well stocked with gins and beers and a very nice coffee shop a few doors along too. Just fabulous!

We stayed at Dovecote at Upper court with our 2 young children and it was one of our most memorable holidays. The location was great for our family with a lot of activities on site and nearby. The children, especially, enjoyed the pool, playing tennis, ping pong, croquet, climbing up trees, picking up fossils, pottery class, feeding swans, walk along the woods etc to name a few. We were there for 5 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. We will certainly try to visit this lovely place again. Above all, the hosts, especially Auriol, made us feel so welcomed and was very gracious to arrange activities for the children and dare I say - is almost a friend!

Watch out for the fantastic homemade flapjack as a welcome treat and the delicious damsel plums on the trees.

We highly recommend this gem of a place for a relaxing couple/family holiday!

The property was great. It is open plan accross three floors, but very comfortable. The facilities at Upper Court are wonderful. We had an amazing stay, and even ran out of time to do some of the things we wanted to do. The property is ideally located near lots of places o visit as well as having amazing stuff to do on site. The swimming pool was a particular highlight. The accomodation is also very safe and secure.

Lovely grounds and accommodation good, but we were a bit disappointed with the games area as we were expecting a dart board and snooker table as advertised but found they were not available. Also boating was advertised on the lake but the boats were not in the best condition and when trying to row them out the oars kept getting stuck in the weeds in the lake. It was overall a lovely place to holiday and the disappointments didn't detract from a lovely place to have a holiday.

We booked all of the cottages and the gallery for a hen party and had an absolutely amazing weekend. The properties themselves were lovely, clean and had all that we needed, the grounds were incredible and the gallery room was perfect for what we needed. We also paid to have the pool heated and enjoyed two lovely afternoons in the pool.
The properties, location, grounds and owners/staff were all amazing from start to finish! We also thought it was great value for money and would definitely return.
Our hen said it was the perfect venue!
We've made memories we will treasure, thank you!

We absolutely loved the location of Dovecote. It's like a secret garden. Geese and goslings wandering past, ducks too. We were also kept entertained with ping pong and had a dip in the pool. The cottage itself has everything you need and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. A beautiful place in a beautiful area.

Everything about this place was wonderful. From the romanticism of a three storey cottage with a four posters bed and HUGE bath you can sink into and stretch out in, to the picturesque lakeside setting and on site facilities.
The fact that we could take our dog and stay in such a lovely place was a HUGE bonus. Petra was so friendly and helpful, and there are so many beautiful walks right on your doorstep. I will be recommending to everybody who asks!

A perfect location for a family gathering of 20 people - 10 adults, 10 children.

I stayed for a long weekend & had a great time. The grounds are absolutely beautiful!! A lake right outside your door, woods, greenery, flowers, fruit trees - all gorgeous & well maintained. Cosy cottage with lovely bathroom. Friendly family who run it live in the main house. Easy to find - I took the train to Evesham & then a taxi. The only thing is I think the price is a bit high for the cottage.

We stayed at the Dovecote, the hosts were incredibly helpful and welcoming and the setting was very beautiful. Especially loved the flowers and the lake. The children loved the trampoline and the mini park. We also went for a swim in the pool as well!

We had two young children with us so for us the Dovecote worked well, as we had a baby cot (provided by Uppercourt) and our eldest slept upstairs however, for given the size of the accommodation would suggest that for those with older children one of the bigger cottages would be more suitable.

The kitchen is perfect for simple cooking and/or using the oven/microwave, probably struggle if you wanted to do any more elaborate cooking. Great local pubs nearby which were also family friendly, a short drive away was the The Royal Oak pub, Gretton, would highly recommend. Would definitely come back for a return stay!

Having waited 25 years to return - too long! - it was wonderful to come back to Upper Court, and in particular Dovecote which I hadn't stayed in before. My grandparents actually stayed here whilst I was in another cottage on the same property. This cottage is beautiful, perfect for a couple and ok if you don’t have small kids that like to climb stairs like I do!
Sitting out next to the lake is wonderful and the cottage has clearly been restored and looks lovely. The owners are also extremely friendly and helpful, I’d definitely recommend this cottage and I have other family who are also looking to book now after seeing it. It’s a great place for some peace and quiet

We stayed in all the holiday cottages at Upper Court over New Years eve and we had a lovely, comfortable stay. The properties are close to the village and nearby some nice walks. The Crown Inn pub is 5 minutes walk down the road and we had an excellent roast dinner there.

Some of the cottages have interesting bedroom configurations with 3 person and 4 person rooms and it was tricky to sort our group out but we got there in the end. There is a bed upstairs in the Dovecote that would only suit parents and children really, not 3 adults.

Our guests from Australia stayed at the Dovecot and also the Garden Flat (twice). Each time for four or five nights. Apart from the odd minor niggle they were very happy with both places but particularly with the Dovecot. The Dovecot is the most peaceful although less able guests might find the trip from the bedroom to the toilet a bit challenging!. Any minor problem - such as no towels (!!) was quickly rectified once pointed out.

We booked the whole of Upper Court for our wedding back on 10th Sep. It is a really beautiful place with lots of grounds to explore and every direction you look there is a picture to be taken. The marquee alongside the lake was perfect for our reception and even though there was a bit of rain it didn't distract from the lovely setting.

The cottages are all very cute inside with their traditional decor. They fit exactly with my taste for anything floral and vintage looking. They felt really homely and a lot more personal than staying in a hotel. All of the cottages were clean and tidy when we arrived and we settled straight in. The children made use of the playground and of the tennis courts and even managed a dip in the pool on one morning.

The Dovecote was perfect as the honeymoon suite as it's set slightly apart from the other cottages and main house. There is a lovely view of the lake from the bedroom with the fourposter on the second floor and a spacious bathroom (and another bed on the top floor)

Bill and Diana were so lovely and on hand to answer any questions we had. It's clear to see they take great care of Upper Court and are rightly very proud of it. They made us and all of our family and friends staying on site feel very welcome. Their dog Bertie was a big hit with everyone too.

We hope to visit again at some point in the future and would definitely recommend to others.

We had a lovely few days staying in the Dovecot. It was a perfect weekend retreat in a gorgeous setting. Walking distance of the local pub which does good food and plenty of activities at the property. Couldn’t have asked for more.

The perfect place for a piece of tranquillity in the Cotswolds.

Tha Dovecote was a wonderful experience.......private but not excluded.......overlooking a beautiful lake with abundant wildlife.
The local village, Kemerton, has a variety of beautiful homes, both old and very modern, small and very large.
We met several very welcoming local residents whilst exploring the many local footpaths and nature reserve; the Walled Garden, opposite the church and Kemerton Lake were extra special places and the views from the top of Bredon Hill were stunning!

Thank you to Diana and staff for making us feel so welcome. We loved waking up to the geese and the ducks on the lake. We very much felt spoilt with our surroundings and woke very relaxed. A great weekend away just the hubby and I !! Great local activities on the foothills of Bredon hill !
