Another lovely stay at Sunnybrae. Everything we needed in the spotlessly clean, comfortable, accommodation. Perfect place to relax and spend some quality time - with the most stunning view across the water.
Paul, Sue & Tiani are great hosts, friendly & helpful.

Thanks again

I first visited Sunnybrae Holiday Park with my teenage sons, back in 2007. Such was the impression made that we returned (500 miles) 4 times the last time in 2011. I returned with the dog, and I am pleased to say nothing has changed, quiet, beautiful and very relaxing.

Beautiful location by the waters edge, caravan and grounds immaculate with everything we needed. Sunnybrae owners very nice, happy to chat and answer any questions. A short walk either by road or over the hill to the Atlantic Centre for some lovely lunch. Also great place to cycle around and explore - really is a perfect getaway.

Third time staying in the Seal caravan at Sunnybrae on the beautiful island of Luing, and once again the accommodation was excellent. Fully equipped and modern with fantastic views across the water. Friendly and helpful owners too. We will definitely be back.

Seal caravan was spotlessly clean with stunning views across the sound. If you want bright city lights and entertainment this is not for you. If you want total relaxation seal spotting by day, otter spotting by night, stunning views and amazing wildlife this could be right up your street. Plenty of walks and bike ride to be done already booked again for next year.

I have been staying at sunnybrae for a number of years and always look forward to my time there
This was the first time I have stayed since it changed hands. Great to meet Brett and Tiana who were both on hand if need be, a new kettle was with us within 10 minutes of reporting the broken one and Tiana was very mindful of offering a visit into Orchid Lodge with consideration of Christmas at Sunnybrae
Lots to see without going off the island, lunch at the Atlantic centre was fab, and local industry shopping there and at the post office shop, although we always love to visit Easdale as well.
Thanks for another great stay

We had a thoroughly enjoyable experience, clean comfortable accommodation, the location is outstanding and appreciate the ethics of how the whole site is managed sympathetically with the environment taken into account. Couldnt find fault at all with our stay, we have been holidaying here for many years, hope it remains as it is for years to come .

This was the 4th visit to Sunnybrae with my daughter and we both love it. The location is stunning, as was the weather this year, but that's a bonus.
The standard and cleanliness of the caravan is outstanding with all we need. We will be booking for next year.
This is our place to relax and recharge.

Words cannot describe the beauty of the island of Luing and the views from Sunnybrae caravan site. We even seemed to have booked the weather usually reserved for the Caribbean. Mike was always on hand to help out if required, a relaxed and attentive host. If you enjoy watching seals, otters numerous birds, the occasional red squirrel and having total peace and quiet this could be the place for you. if you want to be a little more active there are bikes available for hire to explore the island and many walks locally. within minutes of arriving all our stresses from the real world evaporated we were extremely sad to leave.

Excellent stay at Sunnybrae, mobile home was clean and all basic essentials were included. Cant fault the location and all the communication was swiftly answered by Mike. A lovely getaway and Oban just a ferry ride and 16 miles away. Saw many Seals in the Sound and lots of birds. If you want a peaceful, scenic holiday then this is the place for you.

If you're a nature lover you will do well to find a better place for a holiday. From the caravan we saw seals every day on the island and paddled out to play with them in our kayaks. We even saw dolphins in the sound, and elsewhere on the island we saw sea eagles, golden eagles and more dolphins at Cullipool. The caravans are right on the water's edge, which made it fabulous for sitting out watching for wildlife. Our holiday was helped by a sunny week but we did come prepared for anything. Mike and Jen who run the place are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. Make sure to visit the Atlantic Islands centre during your stay, the food is excellent. Apart from kayaking, we cycled the island, which is not too hilly and only about six miles long and every point has spectacular views.

This was my 3rd stay at Sunnybrae and I plan to go back again!
The location of Seal caravan has been my favourite so far.
Accommodation is clean and very comfortable and Mike always on hand to arrange bike hire and help in any way needed.
The site has one of the best locations I've found and you can take your dog.
It's a family favourite for us!

The view from 'Seal's' living area is truly out of this world: the ever changing light on the tidal Cuan straits, with wild life, the ferry and boat and yacht movements to add interest. Though Mike's current 'keep safe' advance information is a bit off-putting, everything is clean and welcoming, the main bed is comfortable, the cooker works and equipment is well sufficient. (We didn't need to use the heating.) Be aware there isn't a shaver point. Mike is easy to contact if needed and a helpful host. We enjoyed walking and cycling on Luing and for those like us who enjoy local history we highly recommend Mary Braithwaite's 'Ancient Luing', buy from the Luing Shop & Post Office. Herds of Luing cattle cluster round feeding stations located beside main tracks and can make otherwise easy walking routes very squishy - boots recommended. The views from the two trig points and the two ancient forts (Ballycastle and Leccamore) are stunning. This was our second week's holiday in 'Seal': the first, five years ago, was excellent and this certainly lived up to our expectations.

Mike was very helpful when we arrived. The view were fantastic. It’s just a pity it was very windy and rainy both days, but nothing could be done about that.
The only issue we had with the accommodation was the water pressure and temp in the shower. It was quite erratic.
Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

The caravan is situated on a small island over looking a tidal gap. The small ferry dictates your coming and going. A peaceful stunning area with a long history of slate mining and fishing. Our stay was very enjoyable. You are paying for a basic caravan which when priced against say a cottage seems a little to much; however the location is what your really being charged for.

We loved staying in Seal holiday home a few weeks ago - the caravan is right on the water's edge and has uninterrupted views across to the Isle of Seil. The accommodation was spotless and had everything we needed for our stay. The island itself is beautiful and we experienced the most wonderful sunsets over the Isle of Mull from a viewpoint about a 15 minute walk to the west of Sunnybrae. The ferry is handy and Oban is only a 35 minute drive away - would make sure you've stocked up on food if you're used to heading out to the shops every day- the shop in Cullipool is well stocked although opening hours are limited. The ferry is great - staff so friendly and make sure you get the best value tickets. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area - a trip to the Isle of Easdale is a must!

Had a great break at Sunnybrae. Nice clean van by the sea. A great place to get away from it all. We will be back soon.

The location on the Cuan Sound was the star of the holiday. Never a dull moment with the tide, boats, wildlife all making our stay one of the most memorable. The accommodation was good, all that was promised. Don't miss eating locally caught seafood in the Oyster Bar in Eileanabeagh, opposite Easdale. Seafari boat trip was excellent too.

Excellent holiday option with a unique setting in view of the short ferry crossing to Easdale and the mainland. The rushing tidal currents are fascinating to watch as is the wildlife including seals dining on the odd salmon that has strayed from a fish farm. The Cullipool shop a mile or so away has local produce (best to pre-order) and we enjoyed a KIlo of freshly cooked Langoustine for £12.50. Crab and lobster also available along with many local craft items. The slate quarry (since disused from 1950) is a fascinating walk with amazing scenery and massif chunks of slate and rock making for some great photography opportunities. The slate pebble beach at Cullipool is also fascinating and the car will be coming home with carrier bags of beautifully shaped and coloured stones. The caravan facility was excellent and everything was in tip top order.

Spent new year festivities with another 6 adult friends at sunnybrae on Luing. Great site on the Cuan sound, clean modern static with all essentials and sufficient welcome pack details in place of good quality. Comfortable double bed for the 2 of us. The 2 single bed room was good for our luggage storage. Would definitely return here. Good walks of varying difficulty. Would suggest adding solar lighting from a safety perspective around vans and access way up to the Bothy. All in all a great mini break to start the new year!

This is our 3rd visit to Sunnybrae and everything was as we expected. The van was clean and well equipped with everything you would need for a self catering stay...except maybe we could have a perforated spoon for dishing up veggies please. The gas fire was very welcome as it tends to cool down in the evenings in October and we were quite cosy. The views are to die for both here and all over the island and the locals very pleasant and friendly. We visited the Atlantic Islands Centre for food several times which is very good value for money and were made to feel very welcome. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sunnybrae...we will be back again hopefully in the not too distant future.

Had a fantastic stay in a static caravan right on the sea front. It was extremely well presented with everything u might need.
We were able to watch the ferry and boats passing across the window. The ferry is minutes away from the caravan park. It rained heavily with high winds during our stay so we were not able to enjoy the picnic table or have a bbq which was a shame. Hopefully on the next visit. We were warm and snug in the caravan though. It is situated on the more sheltered part of the Island. It was my first experience of a static caravan and I was not disappointed. Sunnybrae is highly recommended by myself and my partner.

Fabulous location, fantastic accommodation. Clean, very well equipped and a real home from home. Loved the eco products and ethos. All our needs were catered for. We loved the tranquility and natural beauty of Luing and took some amazing wildlife photographs. The holiday and Seal caravan exceeded all our expectations and we would highly recommend. The locals are all very friendly too

Our 5 days in Seal caravan in Sunnybrae were fab, despite the weather not being the best. We saw loads of wildlife without having to move from the caravan and the site was wonderfully relaxing. Loads to visit off the island - as well as viting the other slate islands we went down to Kilmartin and on to the Crinan Canal one day - places I had been threatening to visit for years. I would definately return.

Stayed for 3 nights, what a pleasure. The caravans are in a beautiful location, stunning views and complete tranquillity. We were so lucky with the weather, 4 days of constant blue skies captured Isle of Luing and the west coast of Scotland at its best. The caravans are new, clean and welcoming and positioned right on the waterfront. The short ferry trip adds to the feeling of being away from everything. The high speed rib trips from Easdale was the highlight and seeing a sea eagle was the icing on the cake. I loved and my 2 girls couldn't get enough of the area. Oban was 30 mins or so away if you needed any major shopping but there is a small shop on the island too. Many thanks to Mike Barlow who made the time to come and see us but otherwise left us to it.

Had an amazing stay at Sunnybrae and Isle of Luing as a whole. The booking process was really straight forward and simple and good value for money. I was met on site by the owner Mike who was really friendly and welcoming. The caravan was absolutely spotless, in excellent condition and very well equipped. The views from the caravan were amazing and were always changing. The site itself was really well kept and had great facilities for an island caravan park. Each van had its own hard standing dedicated parking space which was great. I’d highly recommend Sunnybrae and look forward to returning in the future.

We were delighted with the 2 side by side caravans our sister booked to add accommodation to our family cottage nearby. At times the visiting group we were giving hospitality to numbered 8 adults and 2 dogs. The van coped admirably. It was warm modern and well appointed. And the views superb. Additionally our hosts Mike and Jen couldn’t have been more helpful but were never intrusive. If possible I would like to institute this as an annual family gathering. Thanks everyone. We have enjoyed many Static caravan holidays up and down the country. Sunnybrae has by far been the most comfortable and the most beautifully sited of them all. Panoramic views all around, also the ferry with its friendly crew and collie. We found there was no need to go off in search of wildlife as it came to us in just a few feet of the site, the most unexpected was that of a Sea Eagle swooping down on a Heron ( It got away and the Eagle was mobbed back over Torsa by a few Gulls ) Also at this mid October time the Autumn colours and ever changing weather was stunning.
Thankyou Mike and Jen for your kind hospitality And for sharing your serene and tranquil surroundings.
Robert&Jill.

We spent 3 nights here, the location of the park is breathtaking. Metres from the waters edge, the ever changing water is mesmerising. We had a seal bob past our window morning and evening, watched the cormarants diving for food and a pair of herons visited daily, the boats going back and forth and this just from our lounge window. The island is beautiful, we took a circular walk out of the gate around the headland and back across the hills, saw sea otters the other side of the ferry slip way and red deer further inland. We walked up to the trig point, which is fairly easy, the paths aren't always obvious, but you can't really get lost. It was quite boggy in parts, so you do need propar walking boots and gaiters. Very windy at the top, I don't know if it's always that windy, but there was a storm brewing. the island has two very different feels. The calm side facing the Cuan Sound and the Atlantic side, both very photographable, you will take lots of photos. The roads are all single track, but safe to walk along.
This an island and has limited facilities, but this is its charm, but go prepared. The shop only opened at limed times when we were there, but does have lovely bread, but it's not a supermarket, think more corner shop. There are sereral supermarkets in Oban. Also the ferry does stop running at 6, so you won't be able to pop to the shops for anything, again this is part of the charm, it's very quite and peaceful. There is an Atlantic Centre with some interesting displays about the island, it serves food from 11 and cake and tea or coffee etc. . Toberonochy is worth a visit, very pretty and interesting facts about the slate quarry.
Oh and it's pitch black at night, so if you have to take a dog out last thing, have torch. Well worth a visit, everyone was very friendly and welcoming.

This was our 2nd stay @ Sunnybrea and again we weren’t disappointed. It’s a stunningly beautiful peaceful place to stay. The amount of local wild life this little island has to offer is outstanding, from the otters who love to play on the rocks at an evening time; right outside your caravan window, to the common seals popping theirs heads out the water to check you out to the Dolphins playing at the side of the boats as they travel down the sound of Cuan is awe inspiring.
The site is in the most beautiful part of the island were you can sit and watch the water go by without a care in the world.
We will definitely be visiting Sunnybrea for years to come, it’s a place to totally sit, relax and recharge. I love the fact it’s a small and intermit place which for me is a big part of its charm.

The caravan is very well positioned. Very comfortable and has everything you need in it. Mike and Jen are welcoming and leave you to your holidays whilst being about if you need them.

With good weather you can sit and watch the seals and if you are really lucky the white tailed eagles fly overhead along with the otter that comes to visit most nights.

Loved it. Our children did not want to leave. Quiet and tranquill. Stunning views, beautiful wildlife. I spent hours inhaling the views. Mike and Jenn leave you to get on with it, but there if you need them. Would definitely recommend if you are looking to have good family time. It's just like taking a step away from the chaos of life into a different world. Vans are very well equipped, a far cry from my childhood memories of caravan holidays. Nice private site with civilisation close at hand should you desire it. Scotland is beautiful.

7th visit to Sunnybrae, regardless of weather it never disappoints.
The new Seal van was great, but missed the full length end window of the previous one.
Having said that, the panoramic aspect of the new van gave a really good view across Torsa and beyond.
Very comfortable and well equipped, the van, site and breathtaking location ticks all the right boxes for us.

We stayed in the Seal caravan two years ago, and were very excited that we would be staying in a new Seal this time. It was a great improvement on the old one; a lot more comfortable and warmer (the insulation is very good so we only used the fire once for about 15 minutes in the whole week).

The location is absolutely amazing - right on the water front so you can sit and watch boats, gannets (plenty of them this year; may have been due to the weather in the Atlantic maybe?), herons, seals and all from the comfort of a lovely caravan.

This was our second stay at Sunnybrae and we can't fault a thing. Owners Mike & Jenn are excellent at maintaining the quiet and well equipped site. The fact that there are only a few holiday homes makes the place feel homely and non-commercial. Attention to detail is everywhere inside as well as out (with wild flower meadows, bug hotel, pontoon, bothy etc) it would be difficult to beat this place on a national scale for rest and recouperation in a idyllic location. Lots to do in surrounding area, bike rides, crabbing, lovely walks, great beaches with a stunning view at sundown looking towards Mull. We went on a local Hawk Flight at Inverawe with Finn Falconry- an excellent afternoon also Sealife adventure 4 hr boat trip was an amazing experience. Seeing the sun come up was breathtaking too. This was our second visit this year and it was lovely to be back.

Stayed here in the past and love the location. Brand new caravan this year so no complaints on that front. Fully equipped with everything you could need and very obliging owners who supplied an extension cable for the laptop and fresh eggs from their own hens..Very little space in the bedroom, impossible to walk on one side of the bed and only sideways on the other. Bed itself was very comfortable but what I would call a small double bed. Internet signal very sporadic and no mobile signal at all on the EE network. The Atlantic Centre in Cullipool has much better internet reception.

We enjoyed a week of Mediterranean weather in a Park excellently sited, outfitted, maintained and managed, and on an island full of interest and with truly amazing views of the coast line and islands south of Mull. We didn't move the car having arrived and either walked or cycled (or both walked and cycled). The small booklet of walks on Luing (£1.50 from Sunnybrae's Bothy) is well worth studying but take an OS map as well. Also from Mike's Bothy we enjoyed the excellent quality, locally-supplied scallops, langoustines, venison casserole and seafood pie - so the limited shopping available on Luing (Cullipool's Post Office and Local Shop) hardly mattered - basic supplies we bought in Oban before arrival. Coffee, cakes, local seafood lunches (and dinners on Fridays and Saturdays) are also available at the Atlantic Islands Centre at Cullipool. 'Seal' caravan suited us well: comfortable, lots of privacy, sited to maximise the view right over the Sound of Cuan, containing all the equipment we needed. Be aware that the car ferry doesn't run on Sundays (we didn't need it but some might) nor after 6pm through the week. Sunnybrae CP is excellent for a holiday on Luing,or for anyone with their own boat/dingy to launch, but its road and ferry access limit it as a centre for touring Scotland. Many thanks to Mike and Jenn for their careful but not obtrusive management of their small site.
