We had a relaxing 3 night stay at Glinngeal. The accomodation is fantastic, the living space and kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were very comfy. We would highly recommend staying at Glinngeal.
We had an amazing few days staying at Osprey View with magnificent views of Loch Earn on your doorstep. The property had everything that we needed for our family to feel comfortable and was like a home from home. We will definitely be staying again and would definitely recommend.
lovely stay, the chocolates and wine was i lovely touch thank you, we will be back, lovely location,
This is our second year in a row staying at The Byre as we just love the combination of a large, clean, comfortable home with the stunning scenery and peaceful location. We couldn't ask for more; the house is so well equipped it's like being home from home. We enjoyed many stunning walks right from the house and some breathtaking drives in the area. I particularly recommend this location for the stunning autumn colours!
Really nice apartment in quiet spot very close to town. Spacious and comfortable. Only recommendation would be for a few more plates etc so could put dishwasher on less often.
Really nice setting, very peaceful and well equipped. Hosts were extremely helpful. Great base for exploring with both Glasgow and the Cairngorms within easy reach
Lovely break in a lovely area Accommodation first class as ever. Deer and a squirrel spotted in the rear wild garden area
We had a great 4 nights in the cottage. The pictures didnt do it justice. Everything you could want and more were provided. The position of the cottage is great for touring that area.
A perfect apartment, ideally situated in the heart of Callander. Spotless and has everything you need for a good break. One of the best apartments we have ever had on holiday and we have been to many.
Although not golf players we were pleasantly surprised to find that Craigrossie was a minutes walk from Gleneagles and enjoyed walking in the grounds. It would have been good to have info on Gleneagles as we weren't sure if we were 'allowed' to walk in the grounds. As 'residents' would we have access to other Gleneagles activities. Overall the accomodation was OK but the sofas really uncomfortable to sit on and difficult to 'fluff' up as they were so solid and heavy. Instructions for the washing machine would have been useful. Information on the hob would have been useful as two ri...more
Very welcoming and comfortable. Standard excellent all the extra touches made us feel at home. Beautiful home in a great position. We had a very minor issue that was addressed immediately. Loved the christmas decorations. We had a lovely family get together.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was central but still quiet and peaceful. The house was modern and well equipped. There was plenty of parking outside although this did mean a lack of lawn or garden space for playing or sitting out. Having said that, there was a seating area outdoors and the view over to Ben Lawers from there and the upstairs bedrooms was beautiful. We stayed 10 days mainly cycling and hillwalking with children. There were so many opportunities and the network of traffic free and quiet cycle friendly roads meant we could have easily stayed longer.
Ruchearn was exactly what we were expecting, unfortunately the weather was wet, we were able to dry all our boots and jackets easily and enjoyed the wood burning stove.
My wife and I and our spaniel Cuillin stayed at Crombie cottage for a short break, primarily for me to bag a number of Munro's close by. The cottage was very comfortable and clean and all we needed for our short break. The weather was absolutely glorious so saw the surrounding countryside at its best. Would recommend Crombie cottage for a couple looking for self catering in the Tyndrum area.
Just stayed for a few nights but really pleased, a beautiful cottage in a great location at the edge of the loch. The weather was great so we were able to sit on the deck right on the waters edge for drinks on an evening, what a view!
We love Stirling and it was brilliant staying at 76 because it is so central. Fantastic amenities, fab locality, great to have a place to chill when needed with the kids. Nice little garden with local wildlife. Kids loved their own room too. Thanks so much for making our post lockdown trip so wonderful. We’ve already recommended to a few people.
This is a lovely Lodge that is right by a river that runs into Loch Earn. The cottage is well equipped and very comfy. It has both central heating and a log fire. We found there to be little flexibility on check in and check out times so it is worth noting those carefully. Nearby are stunning walks from the cottage itself or a short drive. The weather can change several times within the space of a day providing a variety of views and experiences. A great place to escape too and relax to the lulling sounds of the river. The skylights in the bedrooms provide fantastic views of the stars on cl...more
Our second visit and we were not disappointed. The cottage was scrupulously clean and all comforts catered for.
High quality appliances but operation too complicated for short stay and customer service manual of little help. No bottle opener, no breadknife and wooden spoons needed replacing. Checking of kitchen items sloppy. However size and comfort of accommodation made for a very pleasant stay.
A very well equipped cottage with secure and private garden which was ideal for us and our dogs. There were plenty of good walks nearby in addition to good restaurants and chip shop so both us and our 4 legged companions were happy. We will certainly be adding this to our short list of favoured cottages and will return.
Firstly, yes the cottage is next to a busy 30 mph road. If this might bother you then bring ear plugs but don't bring young children as the drive isn't gated. That said, as a family of 3 we loved this beautiful cottage. It's well furnished, has comfy beds, 2 bathrooms (one shower, one spa bath), a well appointed kitchen (according to the wife), and is warm and welcoming. It's only a short drive from places to eat and a short walk to the nearest general store. It's set amongst stunning scenery and we'd be more than happy to stay here again.
This was the 4th time in this location. Fabulous views to wake up to. Tranquil, peaceful, central position to use as base for touring. As a munro bagger superb location many many ticks to do. Very quiet lovely new owners thoroughly recommend Morenish Mews for honeymooners. Killin is fantastic wee village and Courie Inn well worth a visit food superb.
We had an absolutely marvellous time at Kenmore Cottage. Beautiful scenery and a relatively "central" location for the Scottish highlands providing excellent access to both Loch Lomond in the South and looking further North to Pitlochry and Aviemore, though we didn't venture quite that far! Only things I would have like to have seen were more pans in the cupboard for use when cooking - especially a frying pan - and that some oil maybe should have been in the cupboard as a standard for use, but honestly these are such minor thoughts! It is an absolutely wonderful place and if I can ever mak...more
The pictures of this cottage are lovely but really don’t do the property justice, it’s absolutely beautiful! It has everything you could possibly need appliance / utilities wise too. We loved the locals, the little walks nearby especially the swim in the wee cauldron. We hired a boat on loch Tay, visited Drummond castle & had a stroll to earthquake house too all very local. We hope to return when the weather turns colder to appreciate the underfloor heating and magnificent views! Sad to leave but happy to have been. Many Thanks
This is a very comfortable cottage, spacious, clean and well equipped. Lovely and warm on cold days!
So pleased to spend our Christmas/New Year holiday in this superb traditional Victorian cottage, which has been really beautifully and tastefully styled in a very warm but modern contemporary way and was really quite spacious. The Tighna is attached to a larger Victorian property and has its own parking space on a gravelled area immediately adjacent to the cottage-so no worries about parking for this property! The cottage is very well-equipped and has been kept in an excellent condition and was so obviously well-maintained and very clean. All furnishings and fixtures and fittings were of a hig...more
Superb in every way which made our stay very enjoyable, relaxing with no issues whatsoever. I can't stress enough how pleased we were to have stayed in "Tolsta". Thank you for opening up this wonderful place for all to see and use. Terry and Lynnette
This cottage is set in a lovely quiet area of Comrie with walks from the front door. The cottage was very homely and was close to town where we had a lovely family meal at The Royal Hotel.
The cottage offered a lot of character and made us feel at home. Great location too as many walks to embark on just right next to you. Lovely place
Great place to stay. Very comfortable even if a little dated. Everything we needed and a great location.
Wonderful place, perfect house and outstanding service! We rented it the second time and will come back.
I would have to say that the comfort of the apartment was fine, the location is ideal for bus and train station and also a short walk to the town, there is a lovely fire in the living room that gives great heat, the only downfall is that if your a light sleeper your in trouble, I would say decent double glazing would make the difference between a decent place to a great place
Spacious, nicely furnished accommodation which we discovered last minute and booked with no problem whatsoever. Instructions on getting there and for entry very good. Felt like home immediately and has mostly everything you need for your stay. Comfortable and well-equipped. Like any property there are a few things you can quibble about but no major complaints. Be warned however that the front of the house is on the main road through town and traffic noise can be intrusive if your not used to it. Location is perfect for access to the town's amenities and even though parking is off-site this is ...more
On first impressions when entering chauffeurs cottage was lovely but after one night we found the bed to be so uncomfortable and and the cushions on the sofas had sagged and was like sitting on the floor. The shower in the bathroom which was a walk in cubicle and was huge but had no grab rail and the shower floor could get very slippy. We would not stay here again which is a shame as we have family close by.
My family and I stayed here over Christmas 2021 & it was ideal. We are a family of 4 (2 adults & 2 children - age 4 years and 5 months) with a dog. The space was perfect for us. I think the space would be cramped for 6 (particularly if the weather meant you were stuck in the lodge) but obviously it’s then even better value. Lochearnhead is a great location, there are some fab walks directly from the lodge (especially the walk to Glen Ogle viaduct). It’s an easy drive to St Fillans (another fab circular walk to a view point over Loch Earn), Crieff, Killin (Beautiful walks) & Loch Lomond. It was...more
