Great family holiday, beautiful location which would be even more stunning in the summer. The property was spacious and comfortable though not enough towels were left for us, luckily a couple of people had brought their own. Very well equipped too everything we could need was there, local pub was very cosy and friendly what more could we need.
My husband and i chose this location, as he loves going fishing, i love the quiet and peaceful tranquility. Lovely scenery in surrounding areas, we will be back.
Lovely cottage extremely well equipped very generous products provided. Wonderful wood burner snuggly warm. Good location lots of local history. Well stocked general store, fantastic coffee shop and notice board of welcoming local activities.
Lovly place, feel like a home. everething cleen and perfect. nice place for family with children. good location for travel in Scotland.
Excellent location and accommodation. We have been staying there for a few years now and it never disappoints.
Fabulous large well equipped house set in beautiful area with stunning views of hill, glen & river which runs beside garden, lots of wildlife with many species of birds including kingfisher, deer & red squirrels. House has very big kitchen / diner which is ideal for social gathering & large lounge, lots of outside space & seating too, people in a group of 6 or 8 have plenty space to have some quiet time to themselves. There are lots of fab places to visit in a 90 minute drive or less with fab scenary in between.
'Condition' only scored 5 due to an initial issue with the boiler. Quickly and efficiently remedied.
Excellent facilities , great location although parking ( even to unload ) pretty impossible . Free parking close enough though . Beautiful scenery very closeby and shops although expensive great for the odd item . Definitely will return thank you .
Pack sent gave me all the information I needed, the dog and I had a great week, good walks direct from the front door and the enclosed garden meant we both could relax after our walk. Cottage had everything I needed. Cheers
We arrived in the Friday night about 6.30, the cottage was very cold. There were no instructions on how to operate the heating. We phoned The number and a last cave around with batteries, the cottage didn’t warm up until the following day which was a shame, there was no control to the heating it was either on or off. The fire alarm kept going off all day and all night which was very annoying. The one set of lights kept tripping the electric. All of these issues were written in the defect book. However the cottage was very well equipped, very clean, the shower was fantastic. The views a...more
This cottage is located in a stunning location and is a perfect spot if you love the outdoors as there are endless varying walks to be had. There are several excellent pubs and restaurants within 10 mins of driving and a variety of shops in the surrounding villages/towns of Comrie, Strathyre and Callender. The cottage itself is a lovely 2 bed, that is cozy and comfortable with everything you need. It has a wood burner, though also very efficient central heating powered by the estate's hydro system. Booking and check in was easy and the management company very attentive.
A very comfortable, welcoming apartment. Spacious with very good facilities and beautiful modern decor.
Very comfortable , well equipped , great location . Thank you Would definitely use the property again if available .?
House was lovely, clean when we arrived and very spacious… ideal for bigger groups. Loved the amount of communal spaces there was including the games room with the projector. Confusing point though when we first arrived the name on the sign of the house is actually different to the name of the property we booked on Cooper Cottages website… we ended up having to ask someone where the house was as it wasn’t clear. There was no welcome pack and the information books were all just pushed aside on top of a sideboard… might be good having them laid out on the kitchen island or the dining tabl...more
Our 6th visit to Tolsta for weeks winter mountaineering adventure. Hope the track gets fixed soon, otherwise a perfect place to be based for the Central and Western Highlands
We loved to stay there, warm in winter, good for relaxing, the manager did not not react to our request to provide us a new pan old one was damaged. Good description how to reach the place. Only one neighbour. Matrace in bed a little bit too you tough (strong)
Great to return to Fern cottage, which has always provided us with comfortable accommodation in a beautiful village location in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, and so has good village amenities within the immediate locality and is an ideal base for exploring this exceptionally beautiful area of magnificent mountain and loch scenery. On our arrival, Fern cottage was beautifully decorated for the festive season and had a wonderful Christmas tree in the lounge and either the owners or the cottage company had provided us with a generous welcome pack, which we all really appreciated...more
The cottage has a lovely view down Loch Earn which is a big plus. The cottage is generally well appointed and worked for us as a couple. It could do with some coat hooks as it is an ideal base for walking in the area either along the old railway line or for the suitably equipped up the local mountains. The old railway line is also a cycle route. The A84 is outside, however it’s not a major highway, although does get a fair amount of trucks as it’s one of the main routes to the Highlands. You don’t notice it normally although we live in London. The reverse out of the drive onto the A84 is not a...more
We stayed in the cottage for three nights in mid November. The setting is stunning, the views of Loch Tay from the cottage are beautiful; one could stay inside gazing out all day, looking at the landscape, sheep and birds! The cottage is very clean and comfortable, very well equipped and well kept. It also warms up quickly, which is very convenient in the cold weather! It is close to the amenities of Killin, while secluded enough for a restful break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Booking the cottage was hassle free and we received all the information needed from t...more
Lovely cottage in a great location. Downsides: No gate at back to keep dog from getting onto a busy road. No information about the cottage ie how the heating works, how the tv works, what the WiFi code is. Positives: Lovely that logs and kindling left for fire. Beautifully clean and well Appointed.
We had a wonderful time here. The holiday home is great and the place and surrounding is beautiful! The contact en service with Cooper Cottages was also great!
This was a comfortable cottage set in a quiet corner in Comrie with an outlook from the lounge into a garden which was a haven for lots of birds. It provided easy access by foot to nearby facilities e.g. local butcher- highly recommend the venison pie, and would also recommend the food at the Royal Hotel for a meal out. Ideal location for a relaxing weekend with friends.
We enjoyed our stay at View Cottage. We especially liked the sun lounge and spent a lot of time there. The cottage is a very good starting point for hikes and excursions. Unfortunately the village shop is no longer there, so you have to go to Killin or Callander for supplies. What we did not like so much: - The dining room is quite dark - Showers are not comfortable - The area around the fridge needs some maintenance But this did not affect our stay.
We, as a group of 8, have been here every year for some time. We make good use of the water so the moorings are important. The property generally is good and reasonably comfortable whilst now getting a little "secondhand" in some ways. Saying that, it did improve this year with new carpets in the lounge area. All the facilities work and having three bathrooms is great. The decking has views of the loch which are just brilliant. We will be back next year!
I would have to say that the comfort of the apartment was fine, the location is ideal for bus and train station and also a short walk to the town, there is a lovely fire in the living room that gives great heat, the only downfall is that if your a light sleeper your in trouble, I would say decent double glazing would make the difference between a decent place to a great place
Perfect sized base for 2 walkers. Warm and comfortable with convenient off street parking. Close to town centre facilities but lovely and quiet with great views to the surrounding hills. A list of local walks might help other guests.
We had a great stay at The Haven, great location, perfect house for a holiday home and comfortable .
We had a great stay here has everything you need the hot tub was excellent was well used Bedding and towels excellent quality and beds were fabulous!the location is so peaceful every window you look out has beautiful views and the wildlife! Will definitely be booking again for more relaxing fun filled weekends
