We had a relaxing 3 night stay at Glinngeal. The accomodation is fantastic, the living space and kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were very comfy. We would highly recommend staying at Glinngeal.
We are a group of five friends and the house suited us very well. As friends rather than couples we need a place with twin beds not only double and this is difficult to find in Scotland. The size of the kitchen worked well and having a choice of spaces to sit and relax worked well too.The kitchen was well equipped which we appreciated as we are people who cook a lot. Only recommendation, more wooden spoons! Very friendly neighbours was a plus.
The apartment is located in the centre of Callander. It is small but well laid out. It is spotless and furnished well. The bed is very comfortable and fresh. Communication with the owners was excellent and they were very helpful. We found parking close by with no problem despite the town being busy at the weekend. The apartment is suitable for dogs with blankets and towels provided and good walks right from the door. The apartment is equally suitable for pet free couples, clean and fresh smelling. I would book this apartment again and would recommend.
Property perfect for our group of six adults and two small dogs. Very well equipped and everything to a very high standard. One complaint would be that there were several bird feeders it would be wonderful if they were filled for guests arriving, there are so many places to view them from the house and they could encourage so many species of birds and small animals. We will certainly visit again.
Really nice apartment in quiet spot very close to town. Spacious and comfortable. Only recommendation would be for a few more plates etc so could put dishwasher on less often.
Really nice setting, very peaceful and well equipped. Hosts were extremely helpful. Great base for exploring with both Glasgow and the Cairngorms within easy reach
A really great cottage. Very clean, well equipped, comfortable and warm. Ideally located for lots of great walks, wildlife viewing and exploring the sights of Perthshire. Would highly recommend.
We had a great 4 nights in the cottage. The pictures didnt do it justice. Everything you could want and more were provided. The position of the cottage is great for touring that area.
Cottage was spotlessly clean and tidy, with idyllic surroundings, quiet and peaceful, a really relaxing stay.
Although not golf players we were pleasantly surprised to find that Craigrossie was a minutes walk from Gleneagles and enjoyed walking in the grounds. It would have been good to have info on Gleneagles as we weren't sure if we were 'allowed' to walk in the grounds. As 'residents' would we have access to other Gleneagles activities. Overall the accomodation was OK but the sofas really uncomfortable to sit on and difficult to 'fluff' up as they were so solid and heavy. Instructions for the washing machine would have been useful. Information on the hob would have been useful as two ri...more
A lovely flat to stay at, central for Restaurants and shops, , Bill and Monica is very approachable, and will be staying again,
We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was central but still quiet and peaceful. The house was modern and well equipped. There was plenty of parking outside although this did mean a lack of lawn or garden space for playing or sitting out. Having said that, there was a seating area outdoors and the view over to Ben Lawers from there and the upstairs bedrooms was beautiful. We stayed 10 days mainly cycling and hillwalking with children. There were so many opportunities and the network of traffic free and quiet cycle friendly roads meant we could have easily stayed longer.
Although this was a large family gathering (7 adults and 3 children), Tigh Muileann accommodated us very comfortably, with adequate space in each of the public rooms. The kitchen was compact but very well equipped and there was an outside utility room. We coped amicably with the two bathrooms though for our size of group a third bathroom/shower room would have been perfect. Heating and hot water were never a problem. The parking arrangements were perfectly appropriate for 3 cars, which incidentally were not used over the 4 days of our stay. With better weather we would have made more use of th...more
Ruchearn was exactly what we were expecting, unfortunately the weather was wet, we were able to dry all our boots and jackets easily and enjoyed the wood burning stove.
My wife and I and our spaniel Cuillin stayed at Crombie cottage for a short break, primarily for me to bag a number of Munro's close by. The cottage was very comfortable and clean and all we needed for our short break. The weather was absolutely glorious so saw the surrounding countryside at its best. Would recommend Crombie cottage for a couple looking for self catering in the Tyndrum area.
Just stayed for a few nights but really pleased, a beautiful cottage in a great location at the edge of the loch. The weather was great so we were able to sit on the deck right on the waters edge for drinks on an evening, what a view!
As the title says we had 4 nights at St Ola and we’re delighted with the accommodation and location. Communication and instruction in advance of our stay were clear and helpful. The house is very well presented and the small kitchen is well appointed, we also enjoyed sitting in the garden at the back. There is plenty to do in the area including a cycle to Callander on route 7 which is safe and off the road the whole way. Hill walking up nearby Ben Vorlich was fun and provided great views. We even managed a game of basketball in Strathyre community facility. All in all an excellent break and ...more
We love Stirling and it was brilliant staying at 76 because it is so central. Fantastic amenities, fab locality, great to have a place to chill when needed with the kids. Nice little garden with local wildlife. Kids loved their own room too. Thanks so much for making our post lockdown trip so wonderful. We’ve already recommended to a few people.
My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights with 2 other couples. The place was very clean and fresh. The hot tub was great, probably my favourite and I enjoyed playing table tennis which to me was a bonus having this. My favourite room was the lounge upstairs and it would be very cosy in the winter time with the stove on. I love an open fire but it was too warm. Im not complaining we were very lucky with the weather. It was lovely and sunny the whole time. I love this area as I’m a hill Walker and appreciate the mountains . We had a very comfortable stay and would definitely recommend. I tho...more
Wonderful cottage in a perfect location. Quiet and clean. Accommodating hosts who even let us pitch a tent on the lawn for our kids to trial camping. Only tiny complaint - unlike most comparable air bnb properties this has very basic essentials - no shampoo/conditioner, no oil in kitchen, no personal touches etc and a very late check in of 4pm. But we enjoyed our stay and if you’re not bothered by these little things, you will be sure to as well.
A very well equipped cottage with secure and private garden which was ideal for us and our dogs. There were plenty of good walks nearby in addition to good restaurants and chip shop so both us and our 4 legged companions were happy. We will certainly be adding this to our short list of favoured cottages and will return.
Firstly, yes the cottage is next to a busy 30 mph road. If this might bother you then bring ear plugs but don't bring young children as the drive isn't gated. That said, as a family of 3 we loved this beautiful cottage. It's well furnished, has comfy beds, 2 bathrooms (one shower, one spa bath), a well appointed kitchen (according to the wife), and is warm and welcoming. It's only a short drive from places to eat and a short walk to the nearest general store. It's set amongst stunning scenery and we'd be more than happy to stay here again.
We had an absolutely marvellous time at Kenmore Cottage. Beautiful scenery and a relatively "central" location for the Scottish highlands providing excellent access to both Loch Lomond in the South and looking further North to Pitlochry and Aviemore, though we didn't venture quite that far! Only things I would have like to have seen were more pans in the cupboard for use when cooking - especially a frying pan - and that some oil maybe should have been in the cupboard as a standard for use, but honestly these are such minor thoughts! It is an absolutely wonderful place and if I can ever mak...more
This is a very comfortable cottage, spacious, clean and well equipped. Lovely and warm on cold days!
Superb in every way which made our stay very enjoyable, relaxing with no issues whatsoever. I can't stress enough how pleased we were to have stayed in "Tolsta". Thank you for opening up this wonderful place for all to see and use. Terry and Lynnette
Stayed 3 nights, arrived on the most fantastic day, view was amazing! Comfortable bed, great living area, as I had hoped to cook, more pots would have been better however wasn’t an issue. Can recommend for a break away from it all
A great place to stay as a base for exploring Scotland! Plenty of space and the wood burning stove made the experience excellent! The village itself has plenty to offer and The Tighna is in a perfect location, just steps away from the pub!
Well appointed accomodation, pleasent position in village ,only conplaint difficuty in entering property through split doorway arrangement, needs a full size master door.
The cottage offered a lot of character and made us feel at home. Great location too as many walks to embark on just right next to you. Lovely place
Always had an excellent experience at The Boathouse. Will continue to return. Views are excellent. Ducks very friendly!
Large, bright flat with all the necessary comforts for a pleasant stay both in Stirling and just a few miles from the Loch. Separate rooms for children with a bathroom with a bathtub and a room for parents with a shower. Ideally located in Stirling close to the shopping centre and shopping streets of the town.
Kirkton Bridge is a well equipped and spacious cottage in beautiful grounds with a running river at its boundary. It is about two miles of relatively easy cycling from cycle route 7 which could take you to Killin, Strathyre or Callander. There are a couple of nice places to eat nearby, The Mohr 84 or The Monachyle Mohr being two of them.
Spacious, nicely furnished accommodation which we discovered last minute and booked with no problem whatsoever. Instructions on getting there and for entry very good. Felt like home immediately and has mostly everything you need for your stay. Comfortable and well-equipped. Like any property there are a few things you can quibble about but no major complaints. Be warned however that the front of the house is on the main road through town and traffic noise can be intrusive if your not used to it. Location is perfect for access to the town's amenities and even though parking is off-site this is ...more
