An amazing house in a stunning location. Beautiful sea views. Very well equipped house with everything you could possibly think of and an amazing welcome hamper. Very dog friendly with treats and dog essentials provided too. 9 hole golf course just across the road is great. A wonderful week and we would definitely return!

My partner and I treated ourselves to a week in this amazing house. It is everything it claims to be… gorgeous, stylish, private and an incredible location. Every luxury you can imagine is available from drying room to a Velvetiser! It was wonderful experience. The only slight negative is the price, as there are many lovely places available on the island that are more affordable, but if there are 6 adults then it is less of an issue.

We first saw Oran na Mara on a trip to Harris in 2021 and were stunned by it. Having our wedding on Harris provided the excuse to treat ourselves to Oran na Mara as our accommodation during the week of the wedding. It has surpassed our every expectation. It is simply breathtaking and something incredibly special to be able to have experienced. The level of thought, attention and fun which has gone into every detail is stunning; lighting, sightlines, art work, small touches and of course the turtles. It helped to make our week incredibly special and memorable. A special house, in a special place which for us has now become all the more significant.

Oran na Mara is a truly exquisite place to stay with the most stunning views. We really enjoyed our holiday at Oran na Mara, it felt like home (with much better views) the moment we walked through the door. We hope to visit again soon!

From the moment we enquired about the property everything was perfect . Paul, the owner , was accessible and prompt in answering any queries and we received the most comprehensive guide to both the property and Harris and the Hebrides prior to our arrival . Six of us stayed at this idyllic spot, the beaches were out of this world, we took our dogs and what a wonderful place for them,they so enjoyed it, nearly as much as we did. We had the most wonderful weather too hard to believe it was so far north.

Perfection in every way - design, ambience, comfort, attention to detail, thoughtful touches, location, communication.

A sinuous, curvy, welcoming space clad in a tough, elementary protective outer shell, it was almost tempting just to stay ‘home’ for the week to soak up the gift that is Oran na Mara. The sheer beauty of every piece of furniture, fixture and fitting and fabric fed the senses and the soul at every turn.

Rosie and her housekeeping team do an exemplary job of ensuring one’s every comfort is ensured. The kitchen is a cook’s dream. The back story on the craftsmen and women behind the cabinetry work, upholstery, stone work and thatching must surely be worth the tale.

Thank you, Honeywell Family for sharing the realisation of your dream with those of us lucky enough to get to be enchanted by the Siren Song of the Sea.

I have been lucky enough to stay in many beautiful homes on the Isle of Harris but they all pale into insignificance compared to Oran Na Mara.

We arrived during a storm and the thatched roof and thick stone walls made us feel cocooned as the winds and rain battered the Island.
The floor to ceiling windows throughout allowed us to watch the ever changing colours, mesmerised, as the weather fronts passed over us.
The views from every window must be amongst the very best in Scotland.

The welcome gifts and attention to detail within the property (which are often missing from holiday homes) made us instantly feel that we were valued as guests here and you truly feel like you are staying in an exceptionally luxurious property. Everything has been thought out meticulously and it allowed you to relax from first setting foot into this exquisite property.

We are leaving Oran Na Mara feeling refreshed but with huge parts of our hearts missing as they have been left behind with this beautiful home, the white sandy beaches, the turquoise sea and the Hebridean hospitality that you receive everywhere.

I can’t thank you enough Paul, for opening your home to us and allowing us to experience such perfection in the far side of the world.

I look forward to returning one day and falling in love with it all over again.

The view from the huge windows changes seemingly every 5 minutes as the light changes. The house is stunningly located with every comfort you could want. It’s not a cheap week but I suspect you’ll never stay in a place quite like it again
From its beautiful curves to clever touches like a tv on a lift so it does it spoil the view, it has been thought out to a very high degree

We have had our eye on this property for the best part of 8 years and the Isle of Harris has long been a bucket list holiday for us. Neither disappointed! The house was so well designed and beautifully decorated, lovely open spacious living areas and comfortable bedrooms, allowing a stunning view from every room. We loved it!

Our second time at this little gem of a place. We just love our trips to Harris.
Oran Na Mara never fails to delight. A pure fresh clean aroma as you first walk in. The place is immaculate. Wonderful that such a place allows dogs. All the thoughtful little goodies around the place. So cosy and welcoming. We love going to places where we can implement and copy ideas. Eco kiwi and the lovely way you dressed the beds.
Rosie was so welcoming and helpful. Still lots of things we didn’t do. The history of the islands fascinates me. We will be back ❤️
