We were a little disappointed in the property for the price and star rating. There were a few issues with the cleaning of it upon arrival- One bedroom still had a dirty glass left on bedside table, another had a hairbrush underneath bed. Some of the cutlery was not clean. 7 of us stayed there and there were 2 sets of towels missing. There was a lot of mould in one bedroom and alot on blind in one of the en-suites. The Barn was a wonderful place to stay nestled in a working farm with plenty of space for walks and to play outdoor games with young children the hosts were very helpful and attentive. Perfect calming holiday for my family. A 25 min walk over fields to local very friendly pub and an amazing vintage shop spent a long time just looking around all the antique dealers items. Not ideal location for close beaches but we still managed to drive to lyme Regis and goodrington sands for day trips so totally doable . Would definitely recommend.
A really lovely cottage, that has been renovated to a very high standard. If you like wood beams and appreciate the nature and beauty of natural wood, this is for you. Cottage has everything we needed, good furnishings and owner was extremely helpful. Minor improvements in case this is helpful, a few board games for family time and some tin foil/ baking paper - will help preserve the baking trays! I appreciate the balance with privacy but it may be worth considering reducing the height of the fence on the bbq side so you can enjoy the beautiful views across the farmland. Lovely cot...more
Every time we stay at Taunton Farm, whether for a short or long-term visit, it’s nothing short of excellent.
