The lodge was cosy and just a 3/4 minutes walk to the castle. The bed was comfortable and it was a lovely surprise to see fresh bread, milk, butter, apple juice and jams from local suppliers. Fiona greeted us with the keys and nothing was too much for her to help, she was amazing...thank you very much. We would definitely like to come back for a weekend break!

Beautiful setting, enchanted and lots of nature to see inc foxes, squirrels, birds. Peaceful spot to unwind yet close to so many amenities inc great country pubs and offerings such as Scotney Castle, Hever Castle, bewl water and much more plus walkable to Wadhurst, would love to return and didn't want to leave.

Goldcrest was ideal for us as we had a family wedding at the castle. It mentioned a 2-4 capacity in the particulars (with a sofa bed) but it was clear on arrival that there would have been no room if 3 or 4 people needed to stay. Space generally was an issue and we would recommend a smaller bed in the bedroom with a place to store/hang your stuff added. Fiona who looked after us was great and it is an ideal place for calm and countryside.

Goldcrest Lodge was the perfect escape from a busy job and London life. The lodge has all the amenities you need and the fresh bread, butter, milk & castle apple juice were such lovely touches to arrive to. Fiona was very welcoming and made sure I was aware of the surrounding walks I could do with my dog. Lying in bed with a coffee in the morning, looking out of the gorgeous picture window, was the highlight, along with a couple of soaks in the outside bath. Pure peace and tranquility! If I could have, I'd have moved in permanently.

Enjoyed a 2-night stay. Such a cute little cosy cabin and in a lovely location down a track - feels like you're in the middle of a forest far away from anyone. The lodge was well-equipped, comfy bed, fabulous shower and Fiona was so helpful with checking in and out. Would definitely stay again.

It was great getting to wake up to view the woods out the large bedroom window to see sheep, birds and squirrels outside. Very peaceful grounds and great modern amenities in the cottage itself. The perfect amount of space, very cozy. Hosts left essentials for the weekend which was a very nice touch.
