As always we had a lovely stay with everything first rate as we have come to expect. The welcome was warm and friendly, the property clean, comfortable and well appointed and the grounds immaculate. So much effort is put in to ensure an enjoyable stay. Thanks. Would definitely recommend to others. We will be back again! Hopefully soon.
Gorgeous little cottage. Just the two of us so we could enjoy a sofa each to watch tv. Very comfortable beds and pillows with high quality bedding. Small kitchen but well equipped and also included tea, coffee, washing liquid and mini milk in the fridge. Private little patio with table chairs and umbrella. Laundry room, kids play area and dog area. Beautiful grounds set in gorgeous countryside and so peaceful. Karl is the perfect host. Helpful, kind and friendly. Good location midway between Looe and Fowey. Definitely need to drive everywhere. Some good little beaches nearby. Just ask Karl!!! ...more
Had a much needed week away at Cartole Cottages, great welcome from Karl. Beautiful cottage, very clean and cosy and in a lovely location. We shall return.
We stayed at Penny's cottage for 7 days during the October half term and was certainly not disappointed. Karl was very welcoming, and the cottage was cosy and immaculate with outstanding views. Everything is clean and tidy and the grounds are well maintained. I would highly recommend and have already booked our return for next year.
This is the second time that we have been to Cartole Cottages and it was just as good the second time around. Shippen Cottage is very comfortable, pretty, with a great sitting out area and with all amenities. Karl and Miles were, as usual, very friendly and helpful. The cottages are in a lovely quiet area surrounded by fields, but not far from anything, the best of both worlds.
A gem of a cottage in a tranquil rural location set on a spacious footprint of gardens, Kernewyck proved an ideal base for the three of us (plus dog) to explore the area. Squeaky clean and warm, it's also great to come home to. The kitchen is tiny but well-equipped. The plus from a small kitchen is that it keeps you honest about being tidy! And it's an added bonus to be able to meet and talk directly with the owners, especially when they're as helpful and welcoming as Karl and Miles.
