As per title, this was our fourth time staying at Old Oak Cottages, and our third New Years visit in a row. We love staying at Wren cottage, for the 2 of us (plus the dog) it is perfectly sized. This time we also had friends staying in Owl at the same time as we had raved about this place so much to them. Weather this time was cold, but clear and crisp - just perfect for some lovely walks, we also visited Knaresborough for the first time this year, and our annual trip to Harrogate. Loved this cottage and it's a great place to just get away and rest. Perfect for families and very peaceful. Loved the gift basket that had lovely bread and jam. Everything was very organised and clean. Thanks Amanda.
Great location for exploring the area. Cottage was well equipped and good layout. Will be back in better weather when more local attractions are open.
I have lost count as to how many times we have stayed at Old Oak cottages, and Owl cottage is one of our favourites. It is lovely and cosy with everything you need, and a fabulous view of the hills. It doesn’t matter what time of year you stay here with children, as the indoor heated pool provides all year round entertainment! The location is really good to get to many other places in Yorkshire, including the Dales, York and a little further away is Scarborough & Whitby. Your hosts are lovely, friendly people & nothing is too much trouble.
Great break at Old Oak Cottages returning after many visits in the past. Always a welcome break, looking forward to returning next year.
We had the most wonderful stay in Fox Cottage. The cottage itself had everything we needed for a comfortable stay for our family and the additional facilities (pool, laundry room, playground) made it extra special. Feeding the Shetland pony every day was a highlight and the friendly personal service from the owners was a nice touch. The area is fantastic with so much to see and do, really great pubs with exceptional food and local shops and restaurants to ensure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back.
