We have visited old oak cottages several times over the years and as always have been really pleased with our time spent there. Excellent in every way. Highly recommended
“We aren’t staying very long. Please can we stay longer?” pleaded our five year old grandson. He was unwittingly echoing our sentiments too. Badger is a wonderfully light, very comfortable, well appointed and well equipped, spacious cottage with a nice garden. The cottages are very peacefully located and Badger was spotlessly clean. We arrived on a very hot day. We opened some doors and windows such that Badger became nicely airy. Conversely on the cold evenings it was very cosy. We recently had a lovely last-minute stay at Old Oak Cottages, and it was every bit as good as I had hoped. This destination had been on my list of places to visit for a while, after reading a glowing review, and it definitely did not disappoint! The cottage itself was gorgeous and well-equipped, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay. First impressions, the location was quiet and wonderful views The cottage was welcoming, comfortable and clean The kitchen is well equipped including a dishwasher and washer dryer The bedding was comfortable as were the beds A wonderful place for a week away from everything and certainly worthy of a return visit
The second time we have been and it was just as comfortable . The cottage has everything you need for a self catering holiday and is well placed for visiting the surrounding area just a lovely place
We have stayed at Old Oak cottages many times and it always feels like home to us. Very comfortable well equipped cottage in a peaceful rural location. A great place to relax and unwind as well as exploring this beautiful part of Yorkshire.
