These two cottages are adjacent to each other, but each fully independent, each with plenty of their own outdoor space. Deerleap sleeps 4 people and Jack's Barn sleeps 10. The big kitchen table in Jack's Barn has plenty of room for everyone to dine together, with two dishwashers to reduce kitchen friction. The two cottages together allow families or friends to spend time together with an escape route for moments of peace. There is a 15 metre indoor heated swimming pool, cinema and games room. Lovely pub walks and lots to do within easy reach. The Garden House, the third property at Lilycombe accommodates 8 people.

We’ve just returned from a fabulous long weekend at Lilycombe. We had Jacks Barn and Deerleap for 12 people which was great as the room linking the two properties meant we were all together. We had an initial greeting from Richard who was very helpful and had suggestions for local visits. All the bedrooms are fabulous with quality bedding and showers. The huge kitchen is well equipped with 2 dishwashers and the massive table seated us all comfortably. We all used the lovely pool which felt like a bit of luxury.
Everything at Lilycombe has been really well considered. We all loved it and would love to return one day. Thank you!

Lilycombe Farm is simply a fantastic venue for family holidays. The setting is quiet, rural and very pretty and the cottages are superbly comfortable and elegant with every imaginable facility, plenty of space, bathrooms and great, spacious bedrooms . We had 2/3 cottages for our extended family gathering together to celebrate a 70th birthday and holiday together. We loved the pool and cinema room, particularly given the unseasonal chilly weather.
We booked in an external caterer, Kate’s Garden Kitchen, to feed us for our special celebration and had a superb meal in the huge farmhouse dining space. We would definitely return again as it’s a great place. Many thanks to the Lilycombe family hosts who were excellent.

this is a lovely property, well situated to get to, walk and explore from, could have done with more time! The pool was a great hit with the children and having exclusive use ideal for a party of 13. Only real downside was the corridor bedroom connecting the two properties and twin beds which were not truly seperated(teenagers like their own space).

We wanted to stay somewhere within a car distance away for a large family gathering that would suit all ages. Our ages ranged from 2 years to 76 years! Quite a challenge! However, Lilycombe Farm really fit the bill. It was really good value for money and everything was more than we had hoped for. The pool was really lovely. We didn't manage to make much use of the cinema but it did look lovely. The only slight criticism I would have would be that the kitchen caters for 22 people but the actual cooking facilities were not quite big enough to cater for a large group. We discovered, a bit late that the oven in Deer Leap was larger than the one in Jack's Barn. The wood burners were put to good use and there was a plentiful supply of logs. It was perfect the way that the two properties merged so the family could be together.

I arranged my partners 60th birthday with some lovely friends, 14 of us.
We hired Deer's Leap and Jack's Barn.
Arabella helped me with all the booking arrangements and any info i needed, also a lengthy email with everything you need to know which was fantastic.
Richard came out to see us as we arrived which was lovely.
I cant praise the location and quality of properties enough, i loved all of it. So did my friends.
The pool and games room were well used and with poor weather, great to have use of. The girls watched a movie on the Sunday afternoon, lovely.
Everything worked well and couldn't have been more happy.
A couple of things to consider - Mirrors for the bedrooms would be the icing on the cake.
The connecting door located on the ground floor bedroom of Jacks Barn meant our friends had to venture out in the rain each time they returned back to Deer's Leap,

Otherwise, we will be booking again, the Garden House is also a beautiful property and looking forward to returning.

A perfect place x

We visited Lilycombe Farm as a company away trip and had Jack's Barn & Deerleap. Both were immaculate, plenty of space, they came with everything we needed, extremely comfortable. All in all, a wonderful stay!

Lilycombe is a wonderful place to stay. Deerleap is cosy, relaxing and well appointed. Upstairs in Jack’s barn is also cosy, comfortable and well appointed. Downstairs feels less so. There doesn’t seem to be adequate space downstairs for 10 guests to sit in the living room. The kitchen, although well stocked with most equipment doesn’t have any small saucepans which is unhelpful, when self catering. There are also a number of very squeaky floor boards which affect the rooms below. With young children awake in the night even the smallest movement caused quite a bit of noise. We appreciate the age of the property but wonder if something could be done to improve them. The selling point of the accommodation is the swimming pool which is stunning, clean and well appointed. The only other slight niggle is the parking for Jack’s barn with a very narrow opening. Even as an accomplished driver it was difficult finding the correct angles not to scratch the car on both entry and exit of the parking space. We were able to park by Deerleap instead in the end as the car was getting damaged. Maybe the opening could be opened up slightly more.

This was our second visit to Lilycombe, this time with the whole family. The grandchildren loved the pool , games room and garden. The cottages are beautifully furnished and well equipped, comfortable beds and top quality bed and bath linen. Fabulous views and quiet location. A happy holiday had by all .

This beautiful, clean property provided all we needed for a wonderful family reunion, 11 of us in total. Lovely rural setting and walk, swimming pool bookable for sole use by us, cinema well stocked with DVDs (internet too slow for streaming but fine for other purposes), games room with table tennis and table-top football. Couldn't wish for more.

We were a group of three families with children staying at Jack's Barn and Deerleap. The accommodation worked really well for us, all of the rooms had very comfortable beds and luxury bathrooms. The kitchen/diner allowed us all to cook and eat together.
The stand out facility was the swimming pool which was fantastic - the children enjoyed watching a film whilst playing. We can also recommend the Litton Tree pub for a walk and delicious Sunday lunch.
