Our family stayed at Partridge Cottage as part of a very large group of friends (we hired three other cottages at Barnacre at the same time). Partridge is very cosy and spotlessly clean, with everything we needed including a great range of cooking equipment. It's located in a quiet tucked away position, but with easy access to the tennis court/play area and Mole End and Woodpecker cottages, where most of the rest of our group were staying.
Beautiful, well provisioned cottage. We stayed for our wedding and everyone commented on the lovely location and set up of the cottages. Beth was very helpful and immediately sorted an issue with bed set up. Cannot recommend enough.
I think doors should be more wide for wheelchair user and there is an angle door for the wheelchair user room which I found bit hard to use the wheelchair. I have to move the wheelchair so many times to get into the room. My son couldn’t enjoyed outside because of the gravels his wheelchair was keep digging in. I think pathway should be wheelchair friendly. I had to hire the taxi for his electric wheelchair so he can enjoy outside but he didn’t. That was a very big downfall for him.
We have stayed at Barnacre on 4 occasions with our entire family. The accommodation is just perfect for all our needs from toddler to grandparent. The location is superb for walks, wild life and sharing. Love it.
We stayed here as a three generation family group, and had an excellent time. From the time of booking Beth and the team were incredibly friendly, facilitating a visit ahead of our stay so we could check everything would be suitable for our family member's needs and showing compassion throughout. The house is lovely, plenty of space for everyone to not feel crowded on top of each other. The hot tub, fire pit, outdoor grill & pizza oven made staying in the house itself an adventure and the grounds, the animals and play area were a delight for the children. The house was amazing in all aspects. The surroundings were beautiful. The whole house was clean and had all amenities. Everything was exactly as described, if not better. The garden was well looked after and beautiful. The bath tub, nearby tennis court and children playground were additional advantages. The hosts were nice and kind to us and communicated very well throughout our stay. Check in and check out were easy, quick and smooth. The only downside was existence of flies due to its location!
