Colebrook Cottage is a beautiful 18th century cottage in the heart of Blockley, a picturesque bolthole in the Cotswolds. Once the village police station it oozes character and this quirky cottage is full of personality. On the ground floor you’ll find the old police cells with their high windows! The flowing open plan design creates spacious and bright rooms, perfect for gathering friends and family for celebrations. Perfect at any time of year the enclosed garden becons in summer and rainy days are spent playing table tennis in the games room. Staying here you’re a mere stone’s throw from the excellent village shop and café and the local pub. Visit nearby Batsford Arboretum, Snowhill Manor and Sezincote House and Garden.

Colebrook was perfect for a family Christmas . Beautifully appointed house with a lovely big kitchen ,with the handy village shop and cafe in easy walking distance.
The top floor is completely taken up with a bedroom dressing room suite . With two double bedrooms and a small bunk room on the 1st floor.
10 minutes drive from moreton on marsh , full of little shops and cafes . Family trips to Warwick castle for the light show and some went to Diddly Squat!

Colebrook cottage is a beautiful, well presented cottage set in a lovely Cotswolds village.
We were a party of 6 Adults and two babies and found the property ideal for us. There is plenty of space and everything we needed was there. We managed to park two cars in the designated parking spaces and one car straight outside.
We would definitely return.

My family and I stayed at Colebrook Cottage for a weekend for my father’s 80th birthday. The cottage itself is beautiful and very comfortable. Check in/check out was very easy and it had all the amenities we needed. Even though there were 8 of us we never felt cramped. The location is fabulous and we took lots of walks. My husband and our 16 year old son loved the games room too, a great added touch. I would definitely recommended this cottage to anyone thinking of booking a holiday in the Cotswolds and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful house.

Overall a great stay, the kitchen would benefit from a couple of usable stools and a lick of paint everywhere otherwise a lovely cottage with plenty of room for the whole family.

We are a three generational group of seven who hired the cottage for a weekend. We know the village well, so we knew that the location was ideal, being very close to the church, the shop / cafe, and the Great Western Arms, a pub serving food. The cottage is a beautiful building, brought up to date, whilst retaining it’s character. The layout of the ground floor is excellent, with a natural flow between the rooms, providing a very safe environment for children, as they can easily be seen and heard. The cottage is very well appointed, and a lot of thought has gone into making one’s stay pleasant and comfortable. A real bonus is the provision of two, off street, parking spaces. This is particularly helpful as the narrow village streets can become busy with parked cars. It also makes unloading and loading the car much easier. The kitchen is well thought out and spacious. This is most useful as everyone seemed to gravitate there! The beds were very comfortable and everybody slept extremely well. The table tennis room is a very nice touch, making it different from previous rentals. We were very lucky with the weather so we were able to enjoy sitting in the beautiful garden. There is a very comfortable, relaxed, ambience at the cottage.

Extremely adverse weather, prior to our visit, had affected some of the electrics. As advised in the handbook we made contact with the agent. Within minutes, we had a visit from the Landlord, who assessed the problem and immediately contacted an electrician, who attended very promptly. I was very impressed that a potential difficulty was so very quickly resolved. Instead of a drama we met two extra, very pleasant local people. They couldn’t have been more helpful.

I would highly recommend Colebrook Cottage and will certainly book again when we return to Blockley.

We loved everything about Colebrook Cottage. It was clean, well equipped and very comfortable. The kids loved the table tennis room. Lots of storage too, and the old cells converted to a utility space were a talking point! The village is fab, great playground for the kids, good pub a 2 minute walk away, and Blockley cafe did the best breakfasts we’ve ever had. We’ll definitely look to stay here again next time we come to the Cotswolds.

Colebrook Cottage was excellent. Wonderfully comfortable, beautifully furnished and an excellent location.
We ate at the local pub twice - both times we enjoyed the food and would recommend. Road links were good and visits to Cirencester and Hidcote proved easy.

This house was really comfortable for a family group of 7. Very clean, nicely laid out, beautiful garden and such a gorgeous village. Bit of traffic noise in the early morning when the windows are open. Kids loved the table tennis too

We had a lovely stay, the village is beautiful, very sleepy, excellent cafe/Restaurent. The house is fabulous, very spacious and the garden was beautiful. Had a fun table tennis tournament too. There was coffee, a selection of teas, even coffee pods and foil and cling film alongside other necessities which was a bonus. Situated next to a Church, which chimed on the hour, every hour throughout the night however there were fans in some of the rooms so with closed windows and fans on at night we overcame the problem. Beds were really comfy and linen and duvets etc. high quality, as were the furnishings. Some of the crockery was chipped and there were some dusty skirting boards and cobwebs, however we would definitely stay again.

Thank you for a lovely stay at Blockley cottage. We thought the property was absolutely beautiful, it was well equipped and the kitchen was a great social area too. The whole downstairs felt really open and well designed, and the garden area / table tennis room were both wonderful additions for being able to socialise outdoors and have fun.
The property was maintained to a high spec and in excellent condition, beds were really comfy too which is always a plus.
The house keeper was incredibly kind and helpful and we would very much recommend this property for a memorable stay. It felt very special and was perfect to celebrate our mums 65th birthday with family.

Lovely comfortable and interesting property, set in idyllic but unspoilt Cotswold village.
The facilities were excellent and the whole family enjoyed the table tennis room.
We had a private caterer to celebrate a special birthday and the spacious kitchen accommodated this very well.
A great location to explore the delights of the Cotswolds.

Colebrook Cottage was a lovely house located in Blockley in the Cotswolds. The property was even better then it appeared in the photos on the Bolthole Retreat website. The kitchen was enormous and and had all the utensils we needed to cook Christmas lunch. The fireplace made the downstairs area so warm and cozy, perfect for a winter in the Cotswolds! The housekeeper was extremely helpful and kindly set up a Christmas tree for us which our 2-year old loved. In short, I would thoroughly recommend a stay at Colebrook Cottage.

We absolutely loved this place. The rooms are all spacious and the perfect size for group of 8. We are from London so getting away to such a quiet and cosy place was so refreshing. Would absolutely stay here again. The kitchen had everything you needed. the bedrooms were a great size. One thing to note is if your group is all adults, bear in mind one of the rooms has bunk beds. That room isn't that spacious enough for two adults. Already looking for an excuse to stay there again next year :)
