Resting on the edge of the historic Cornbury Park Estate, Patch Hill House is a detached Cotswold delight. Its honey-hued exterior, typical of this part of the country, welcomes you to a home made for family getaways. Wooden beams, an inglenook fireplace and stunning views of the rolling countryside combine to make this a house that has it all. Share a bottle of wine in the elegant living room while children play in the snug, and outside the glorious garden is made for family games and a BBQ with friends. Children will adore nearby Fairytale Farm, exquisite dining options can be found in picturesque Charlbury and UNESCO heritage site Blenheim Palace is a short drive. During festival season, Wilderness is a four-day fiesta and is just walkable from your doorstep.

Beautiful house!!

The house itself is stunning! Plenty of space and amenities for hosting, lots of kitchen utensils for cooking at the home or space to eat if you order a takeaway! The fire in the lounge makes it so cosy. The entire house was spotless and clean! Would highly recommend to anyone. The Plough Inn pub nearby is a lovely cosy pub if you fancy a drink or a meal out.
My only fault would be that although we were aware that checkout is at 10, I have never stayed anywhere where house keeping have turned up at exactly the time of checkout. We were running 10 minutes behind and it felt a shame that they had knocked on the door and told us they would give us 5 mins to be out of the house.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was very well equipped with great kitchen pots/pans/ coffee machines etc and a gorgeous welcome basket with goodies when we arrived. It was very clean and Claire was so helpful when we spoke. It was easy to find with good parking. We loved the area, being able to walk into open fields at the end of the drive and great to be near pubs in charlbury. Lovely big kitchen and sitting room, we would definitely stay again.

Booked for our daughter’s 30th birthday weekend. So well equipped ( but note no microwave) and absolute home from home. One of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in and wished we could have stayed longer. Great location for Cotswolds villages, Cotswold Wildlife park ( which we lived) and if you are so inclined close enough to visit Diddly Squat farm shop! Thank you

There’s space for three cars, comfortable beds, a well-equipped large kitchen perfect for cooking together, and a spacious sitting/dining room for cosy evenings around the fire.

Outside, the garden has lovely views of the surrounding countryside during daylight, plus stargazing from the patio on a clear night.

“The Plough Inn” in Finstock is a welcoming local pub where we enjoyed pre-lunch drinks around the log fire.

The location is excellent, with country walks from the front door; wellies/walking boots are recommended after rain!
