If you’re looking to be whisked away to a land of idyllic countryside and picturesque scenery, this is the retreat for you. Pickett Cottage, with its rose adorned entrance, truly peaceful setting and exquisite views is what you picture when you hear the words “Cotswold cottage”. From the honey-hued glow of the stone to the woodburner and homely bedrooms you are a world away from the hustle and bustle. Walks lead you from the doorstep to nearby Northleach with exceptional pubs and historic sites as you stroll through the Hampnett Valley.

Pickett Cottage is a comfortable, clean and peaceful setting for a stay in the Cotswolds. The kitchen is well equipped and the dining and lounge areas are very comfortable and pleasant. The cottage has a wood burner which warms the living areas very well. the outlook of Pickett Cottage is really pleasant and it is well placed for walking and exploring the Cotswolds by other means.

The two bedrooms upstairs in the cottage are very comfortable. One is ensuite and the other is located near a shower-room. These bathrooms are good but the water did not have great pressure and at times was not hot across our stay, which was disappointing.

Overall, Pickett Cottage was a lovely venue for our short-stay in the Cotswolds.

Cosy cottage, very welcoming in a fantastic little village with wonderful walks all around. Great location to explore the area.

To find the cottage was quiet hard because Google maps directed us wrongly. But after a little searching we found the cottage. Directions to find the cottage could be better.

Warm water was not abundant but you can change the warm water setting manually luckely. The kitchen, living room and garden was very nice. Everything you need was there. More comfortable garden seats would be nice. The two bedrooms and two bathrooms were great. From the cottage you could easily go walking, to for exemple Nortleach. The Wheastsheaf Inn in Nortleach is a very good restaurant.

The cottage was just perfect, we walked through the door and instantly felt at home and honestly could have quite happily moved in! Hampnett is a very quiet village but within easy walking distance of Northleach (15min) either across the field or via the lane, the Sherborne Arms and the wine bar are both good! You can do some great walks straight from your front door and the cottage had a variety of OS maps for you to plan routes. There was also a nice loop from the cottage round the field and back which was great for our morning and evening walk with the dog. You are also in a good postion for travelling around to the popular hot spots in the Cotswolds if that's your thing!

The kitchen was very well equipped with utensils, pans etc and had a big range cooker for cooking on. Bedrooms were lovely, beds comfy and lots of nice touches like travel sized toiletries, room diffusers. En-suite shower room in the main bedroom and a second shower for the the other bedroom, both ample sized.

We would honestly not hesitate to stay here again!
