Sundown Lodge is a unique bolthole retreat with stylish décor, special finishing touches, and possibly the best sunset views that the Cotswolds has to offer. Nestled on Dover’s Hill, it is a romantic country hideaway where you and the dogs can make the most of the footpaths which criss-cross the area. Venture into the surrounding fields and discover the hidden viewpoints which look across as far as the Black Mountains in Wales. At the end of the day, you return to a boutique home-from-home where you can relax, unwind, and plan your adventure for tomorrow.

Sundown Lodge is a gorgeous location in the heart of the Cotswolds. The cottage has been decorated to a very high standard and you could not ask for anything more for a short stay. The bed is super comfortable and the blackout blinds were greatly appreciated! Hot water and lovely fluffy towels made showering a joy too.
We were not able to take advantage of the views from the fields as the weather was slightly misty but am sure they're beautiful.
Only one small slightly negative comment would be that the kitchen table and chairs were not suitable for the kitchen and should have been left outside. All the other furniture in the cottage was really good quality but this let it down slightly.
Thanks for a wonderful stay and we would not hesitate in returning to Sundown Lodge.

A very clean and comfortable property in an attractive rural location with good access to a number of places of interest and walks. Most suitable for 2 people not 4

Only negatives were the wash basin in the bathroom which was tiny and the lack of storage for food apart from the very large American fridge/freezer.

The owner was very helpful as was the housekeeper in dealing with a small query.

Charming bungalow and views galore. Couldn't ask for a better week. We loved every minute of our time at Sundowne Lodge.

A lovely stay again in this delightful cottage. We love the views and access directly onto the fields. Great walking and lovely villages near by.

Great cottage with everything you need for a break in the Cotswolds! Welcome milk , biscuits, tea and coffee were appreciated. In great clean condition with all mod cons.

Not easy to find - signage on the gatepost would help, and more information on where to park eg side of property / in front of outbuilding etc (we had to move our cars as we’d parked in the wrong place - there was no signage or information in the booking).

Would recommend a stay at sundown lodge - rural and peaceful but an easy drive to neighbouring villages and towns.

Our stay at Sundown Lodge has been wonderful. We could walk directly into fields from our patio. We have visited nearby villages and many other walks in this beautiful part of the Cotswolds. The cottage is furnished to a very high standard and was warm and cosy. We loved it so much we have already booked to stay again!

Well the host Nick was the nicest person Ive ever met
Showed my children and myself such wonderful hospitality we saw his chickens daily had fresh eggs he went out of his for my kids who do have special needs he took us lambing with him he’s house is top of the notch on design the highest quality in appliances the details inside the house is so stunning there’s not one thing I would change we didn’t want to leave and will certainly be returning again and again
Nick thank you for everything you was such a wonderful person I think met a friend for life !
Kids still are asking when can we go back !
