Set over three floors, this serene spot sleeps six guests who can choose from three king-size bedrooms each paired with luxurious en-suites. Rounded off by glistening gold-tone accents, wall paintings and a roaring wood burner, this refined hideaway is just a stone's throw from a plethora of Cotswold pearls including Chipping Campden, Broadway and Blockley.

We come to the Cotswolds every Christmas and have stayed in a few different properties, upper folly is absolutely one of the best we’ve ever stayed in! We’d not stayed in Paxford before - it’s so pretty as is neighbouring Blockley; the village shop in blockley was ideal for bits and pieces. We visited the Ebrington Arms down the road for lunch which was gorgeous and it was a good driving distance from Chipping Norton etc. We would have loved to explored Broadway but the storm hit so we stayed in and fired up the lovely log burner in the snug for the afternoon. All bedrooms are en suite which is so helpful, wifi was great (we’ve stayed in a few where it’s been really poor) which was ideal for work and the kitchen is absolutely stunning and very well equipped! We’ll definitely be back in summer so we can test out the bbq area and fire pit. Great stay all round

Great 2 night stay with 2 friends. We all had a luxury ensuite bedroom. Quiet location but on doorstep to Cotswolds towns. Very clean cottage with all facilities including a log burner, perfect for winter evenings. Gorgeous, spacious kitchen and loving the pink cupboards and underfloor heating. Would absolutely recommend Upper Folly for a luxury break.

By far the best self catering accommodation we have stayed in both in terms of the property and Bolthole Retreats. The property is beautifully furnished and has everything that you can possibly need. We also found Bolthole Retreats to be extremely professional and well organised and the information they provided was of a very high quality. All in all a fabulous stay for a very special family birthday.

We chose Upper Folly for a family get together somewhere special and it didn't disappoint. The house is beautiful in terms of decor and facilities. It's location is very good, quiet and peaceful setting but in easy reach of many Cotswold attractions. Faultless stay, would highly recommend and we'll be back, hopefully.

We enjoyed three nights at Upper Folly. The home is beautiful and a treat to stay in. The host is very attentive and handled a small issue quickly. The only item to note is that we felt a car was necessary in order to enjoy the surrounding area.

We had a wonderful two nights stay.
Upper Folly was very well equipped and everything was of a high standard.
The weather was beautiful so we were able to make good use of the comfortable outdoor furniture.
There was a choice of places to visit within the locality and the surrounding villages were beautiful.
Would highly recommend.

Being there for a week with small children, a washing machine would have been useful, however, we knew before hand there wasn't one.
