Enjoy exploring the surrounding countryside from this detached stone cottage in the quintessentially Cotswold village of Woodmancote just a ten minute drive from historic Cirencester, the capital of the Cotswolds. Full of traditional features with wooden beams throughout, this cottage will be the hub for your break away. The cosy sitting room has a woodburning stove and the spacious kitchen has a dining area looking out to the quaint garden. Upstairs are three bedrooms suiting a variety of groups with two doubles and a twin, and there are two family bathrooms. With footpaths leading from the door, this rural location is perfect for anybody looking to explore the Cotswolds.

I recently needed to book a stay for myself and my children and in my haste failed to recognise that there are two different Woodmancote villages, not all that far apart. Where I thought I was selecting a property nearer to Tewkesbury, I accidentally booked Woodmancote Manor Cottage near to Cirenceter. What an absolutely brilliant mistake!
The whole experience was wonderful from start to finish. The owner of the cottage conveniently lives next door and was very gracious and attentive with welcoming messages and information prior to arrival, and then during the stay they were quietly there to attend any needs or concerns, as well as provide local knowledge and advice. A true gentleman and very, very kind.
The cottage was actually quite large and fixed up to a lovely state with everything clean, neat, tasteful, and comfortable. Given that the cottage sits within the middle of an historic village, it was quiet, easy to find, and incredibly peaceful.
As with any rural village, it does take some planning to come supplied with any food, beverages and personal needs you may want as there isn't a village shop of pub within walking distance. But, Cirenceter isn't terribly difficult to get to and has plenty of shops, grocery stores and restaurants.
Overall, a highly recommended cottage to make a home away from home!

A wonderful stay in a beautiful part of the Cotswolds. The manor was spacious and comfortable and Alex the Host was friendly and most helpful. Would definitely recommend.

This is a lovely historic spacious property with its own private garden in a quiet rural village well away from the main roads yet within easy reach of Cirencester and Cheltenham. There was a plentiful supply of hot water for the excellent walk-in shower and separate bathroom.

We were delighted with our short stay in Woodmancote Manor Cottage. Very spacious, everything we needed for our short weekend to visit gorgeous local gardens. We were very impressed by the decor, comfort and cleanliness and ease of access. Our host, Alex, could not have been more helpful and kind. We, all four of us, would thoroughly recommend this charming peaceful retreat.

An ideal location for friends meeting together. However, I was in one of the single beds and it was far too soft for me - I think a new mattress is called for. The cottage was quaint with good facilities and it was nice to be able to light a fire in the lounge. The owner (who lives next door) was very accommodating with a 'socket' EV charger. Parking was good for 3 cars and it felt safe in the village. Weird that one of the bedrooms has a bathroom where there is no door. Furniture was very 'hodge podge' but that wasn't really a problem - in fact our friends liked it. The oven was dreadful - very slow and difficult to work out how to use it. All in all, a good stay.

Woodmancote Cottage is a spacious, comfortable and lovely cottage that was perfect for our party of 5 adults. The bedrooms were large, excellent quality bedding and lots of storage space. Two large bathrooms and a cloakroom downstairs - perfect. We spent most of out time in the well-equipped and spacious kitchen/dining room with huge window seats, or outside in the garden, table & chairs provided.

Original art works, antique furniture and fresh flowers - this was an exceptional house.

The grounds were quiet and private, we did good walks from the house, walked to the local pub Bathurst Inn for great food, and easy to explore the area.

Have to remember this is a countryside house - we had spiders, woodlouses and a shrew visit but all part of the fun.

The cottage is really spacious and in a beautiful location in a quiet little village. The peace and tranquility was wonderful to wake up to and come back to after a day’s exploring. Cirencester is only a ten minute drive with its wonderful independent shops and restaurants. We spent one day just walking from the cottage in the stunning countryside which surrounds it.
The property itself however, needs some updating. Some of the furniture was broken and some unusable (the kitchen stools) and there were stains on the kitchen floor and on some bed linen, which definitely marred our first impressions. I understand that antique furniture suits the age of the cottage but there’s a difference between antique and tatty! The beds however were very comfortable, the towels lovely and we loved the large shower room. We were initially disappointed as we expected a slightly higher standard from the photos, but quickly grew to love it there. I think with a few tweaks the property could definitely have the wow factor!

We had a great short break at Woodmancote. The location is peaceful and idyllic, the cottage welcoming and well equipped. Alex was helpful throughout.

We loved our stay at Woodmancote Manor Cottage: the property is amazing, full of the Costwolds charm but really well renovated. Beds were as comfy as on a 5* star hotel, and kitchen perfectly equipped. I was perfect for our group of 5 adults and 2 children. We even were able to enjoy a lovely breakfast in the outside terrace on Sunday morning. Finally, the cottage is very well located, right in the middle of all Costwolds attractions. 100% recommended!

This is a beautifully appointed property which is full of traditional character and Cotswold charm!

Situated next to Woodmancote Manor in a peaceful Cotswold hamlet, very relaxing walks in the surrounding area.

Within 20-30 mins drive of all of the local Cotswold towns and visitor attractions.

This is a beautiful cottage, which has everything you would want for comfort and well being, whilst staying there.
It was cosy, and yet still very spacious for a larger group.
