High Tide is positioned in a gorgeous spot in the coastal beach village of Boulmer, with views over the gardens to the golden sandy beach and the sea beyond. This pretty, traditional cottage is on a working farm and sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms, has 1 bathroom, and is single-storey. There is a wood-burning stove, a large, enclosed south-facing garden with sea views, and private off-road parking for 2 cars. Pet friendly. Free Wi-Fi and Digital Guidebook.

High tide is a little gem, set in beautiful countryside with views of the sea. Being able to step out the front door into a walk is a real bonus, especially for our four legged member of the family!!
The welcoming and cosy cottage is a great place to relax after a day out, or not.

Location great re proximity to beach for dog walking etc
Not as well equipped as some and lacks a bit on finishing touches
Internal configuration not the best i.e. distance bathroom to bedrooms
Outside porch very useful and excellent garden for dogs
Overall suited our needs

We have just spent a week at High Tide, which is such a relaxing and comfortable place to stay, with so many great places to visit within a short distance. The view from the Lounge and the short walk to the beach with the dog, along with the lovely big garden, was the main attraction for us, but being close to the Coastal Path will be an added bonus for many people. Thank you to our Hosts for the very welcome Hamper.

We had a wonderful stay. The weather was superb therefore we were able to enjoy the beautiful south facing garden.
The cottage was very cosy and clean. Beds were comfortable which was a huge bonus.
Thank you High Tide for a very relaxing break.

Bedding and bedroom carpets were cold, damp, and clammy especially on first night. There is mould on the back of the wardrobe. Water is dangerously scalding hot. Front door leaked excessively during heavy rain. Back porch also damp. Needed additional kindling to use the fire more than once.

Another enjoyable stay at Hightide. Location on the coast is excellent for walks to Alnmouth or Craster and exploring the north of this beautiful county whilst being only 12 minutes drive from Alnwick. Cottage is friendly and comfortable and the enclosed garden is excellent for dogs. We will definitely return here again in the future!

Had a lovely time yet again. Only thing I would say is that when we arrived the cottage wasn’t too warm. Also, just a thought, the washing up bowl is a nightmare!
Maybe a couple of smaller bowls to put in the microwave would be helpful.
Sorry don’t mean to be picky, just trying to be helpful.

Cottage is clean and homely. Central heating is good but the log burner is excellent! The local coastal walks are beautiful! We would recommend this cottage to all - especially if they have a dog

Great location for exploring the North East coast, many days out with short drive. Coastal walks on the door step. Very quiet with absolutely no disturbance, great garden for family and dog.
Cottage was well equipped, clean and comfortable.

A comfortable, peaceful cottage, great garden for dogs or children. Lots to explore nearby, you are spoilt for choice no matter which direction you decide to head.
Cleanliness was generally good, although the bathroom was a little tired with bit if black mould around the shower area and mats worn. Views from cottage were good, overlooking
the sea, spoilt slightly by windows needing cleaned, although it is situated next to a busy working farm. Did miss having convenience of dishwasher.

This is a cosy dog friendly cottage where you feel you can relax with the dog. It has what you need for a short break and its best feature is location. You are literally 200 yards from great dog walks, 4 miles north to Craster and 3 miles South to Alnmouth.
The local pub only allows dogs outside which actually caught us out, not the cottage owners fault but when the pub is highlighted in the advert, it would be good to know.
That aside, we would recommend this to anyone who likes to leave the car and walk the dog along some stunning coastline.

The cottage was lovely and quiet, close to the beach. It was well equipped but without dishwasher or washing machine. My only complaint would be that the lack of laundry facilities was an issue when we needed to wash the towels and the dog towels. Even in summer the dog got dirty and wet on the beach. We were left one small and one large towel for each adult which we would have liked to have washed midweek so either leave more towels or provide a washer in one of the outhouses. There were no drying facilities either. The rotary dryer in the garden was rusty and the pegs were old and kept snapping.

These points are made to help the owner improve the guest experience and did not detract from the very positive aspects of the holiday including the cleanliness of the cottage (just some dust under the dining table), the excellent welcome pack, the lovely comfy bed and the very spacious garden with garden furniture. The garden was particularly good for the dog.

We had a really relaxing stay in High Tide cottage. It’s a cosy comfortable cottage with a brilliant garden all enclosed so our dog was very happy. Easy access to the gorgeous beaches and lovely walks in both directions. Very nice welcome pack of goodies to top it all. We highly recommend it and will be back.
