Villa Dolluca is a great villa, in a great location, in the hills of Kalkan.
The views across the bay are perfect for the start of the day or to enjoy a spectacular sunset.
The villa was very clean and well laid out with comfortable furniture and bed.
The private area behind the pool was perfect to catch some late afternoon sun even on a windy day.
You do need to be aware that there is a tannoy installed on a pole on the road nearby which is very loud when prays are given.
The steps to the villa are very steep so might not suit more elderly or physically challenged people.
This is a great property and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back.

It is hard to know where to start when writing this review. We have stayed in many luxury villas throughout the world and Villa Dolluca ranks up there as one of the best.

The first thing we noticed when we arrived was how sparkling clean everything was. This is very important for us and we thrilled to see that all the rooms were immaculate including the kitchen (and the oven), bathrooms and bedding. The pool was truly "sparkly in the sunshine" and it was cleaned every single day that we were there. The "invisible pool man" came so early we did not see him but the pool and pool deck was made ready for our day, and he also took away any rubbish that we had put in the bin - saving the annoying trips to the skips located on the main roads.

One of the biggest things in Villa Dolluca is the comfort factor. Everything inside and outside the villa is of a very high standard, not something that you would normally see in a holiday villa. I think because the owners live there in the winter, they have furnished it as a permanent home and not spared any expense in the quality of the furnishings which was wonderful. There was plenty of really lovely china, cutlery, sharp knives and glassware in the kitchen, more than needed for a 2 bedroom villa, the sofas were so comfortable, as were the beautiful poolside furniture with cushions to sink into. And the beds were perfect for a good nights sleep with plenty of pillows to choose from and lovely cotton bed linen. The other big plus for us was the water machine with cold drinking water literally on tap.

This was our second visit to Kalkan (having visited previously 8 years ago) and it is a beautiful place - although a bit larger than it was 8 years ago! You will never have a bad meal as the food in all of the restaurants is superb. Make sure you book a boat trip from Kalkan harbour to swim, snorkel and eat the most wonderful lunch served up by the staff on board. Other trips worth taking if you have transport are to Sakklikent Gorge (and don't miss the rafting there, it is hilarious!) and to the most beautiful town of Kas just along the coast. Beware of the market in Kalkan as even the negotiated prices can be higher than you might find in the shops (we did get slightly done on this!) but don't miss the pancakes in the market with their freshly squeezed orange juice. Also a short trip just slightly up from Kalkan will bring you to Islamlar which has some wonderful little shops with home produce and gifts plus nice (cheaper) restaurants with great views of the coastline.

We had a wonderful holiday and did not want to leave. You can book this villa without hesitation and you will be so glad you did. I must also add that Olive Tree Travel are one of the most helpful and professional companies we have dealt with. Nothing was too much trouble and their response times both before the holiday and during our stay were excellent.

We stayed for one week in this beautifully presented two bedroom/2 bathroom villa. Very clean and spacious. The interior is stylish and comfortable. Clean and well appointed with everything you need. Fabulous outside area with spectacular viewers of Kalkan bay and harbour. Can get very hot during the day but cleverly arranged areas with shade to keep cool in. Pool area is lovely and is cleaned daily.
The only slight issue (not for us but maybe for others) are the stairs leading down to the villa. Not for the infirm or elder as can be tiresome going up and down several times a day. Other than that we had a fabulous stay in this villa and will highly recommend to everyone.

Special mention to Olive Tree Travel who are prompt efficient and knowledgeable in booking our holiday. A day out on mUddy Boat is exceptional and not to be missed so definitely book this boat trip! Another mist is to visit zest beach club - beautiful place!

We loved Kalkan so much we are booking for next year - a thing we never do but we have made Kalkan an exception as it’s a truly amazing place.

Super decorated Villa, its has everything you need with an outstanding view of the sea. Looks exactly as in the photo. It is a long walk to the center with this heat you need a car, beautiful beaches with crystal clear water can be visited not far away. Too bad that on the first day the refrigerator was not working properly and almost all the food was spoiled and in the last two evenings approximately 6 hours there was no electricity and we could not use the water or lights. Responsible was Osman, he did not bother to inform us. We had to call and write him several times. In the end his answer was that the he isn't responsible for it.
Despite, it was a beautiful Villa and I would recommend it. :)

Thanks for your review and although we're very happy to hear that you liked the villa, we're very sorry that you had issues with the electricity supply during your stay. Unfortunately, this has been a Kalkan-wide issue this season - the infrastructure has struggled to keep up with the rapid expansion of the resort and this has resulted in regular power outages in the last few weeks as demand has increased. It is very rare that advance warning is given when cuts are planned. We understand that emergency works have been carried out, which should hopefully improve this situation in the area. Once again, we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and frustration this caused during your stay and hope that the infrastructure is improved properly soon. Best wishes, Debbie

The views from this villa are just incredible and the images cannot do it enough justice! The pool is perfect and is certainly needed to escape the sun as the day goes on. The facilities are second to none, with everything that you can possibly think of - even an English style potato peeler for those that like a roast dinner (which we had one evening as you can source carrot/turnip/potatoes/chicken and even Bisto [although the Bisto is a ridiculous price -we made our own gravy]. The steps down from the road to the villa are quite steep and this is not for the physically impaired! We walked into the harbour every other day and spent the other days lazing in the pool and on the sunbeds. The walk only takes 25 minutes and it is a very good idea on a Thursday as the market is on the way down - not in the harbour area which you might think. Taxis only cost 80 to 100 Turkish Lira, which is roughly £3. You need a taxi back as the walk would be too tiresome as it is a steep jaunt for the most part. You can get shopping groceries delivered from a local supermarket - a guy called Figo delivers for a small mark up on the produce and his whatsapp number is on the wall on the left as you walk in the villa. You can also download an App 'Villa eats' - just like just eat and we can whole heartedly recommend Pasaport pizza for delivery. The bars and restaurants in the harbour are just class!!! Gusto is great for a meal or breakfast and Silas and Mo are great lads that make your visit very friendly and special. The Doy Doy restaurant just opposite Gusto is very special. Ozzie and Imam are great hosts, full of energy and extremely funny and polite. Jacob, one of the young lads is also a great guy - the team made every visit just brilliant. Just along the way from Gusto in the 'gauntlet' of bars, Sherlock Holmes bar and restaurant is roughly 30 feet along the road and is a great night - they have music playing through the day and night, however the volume goes up a bit when all eating has finished and we found ourselves in there way after 1am a couple of evenings. Another class bar is the Sandal Sports bar just to the right of the harbour as you look at the Indigo Beach Club. Amy, her mum and step dad run the bar and they have only got it up and running this year and they are a magnificent family. Their food is brilliant - burgers, chips, chicken wings, garlic mushrooms etc etc etc - they do take away also and the prices are excellent. They also have a pool table free of charge and two darts boards with all sporting events on TV. Their beautiful (mental) beagle puppy Chica will keep you entertained and you can find her brothers in Gusto and the Berzigan pub, lovely dogs. Berzigan pub plays the old blues and jazz through the day and is by the Masal Tattoo shop just down from 'JD' sports store. Prices are excellent here too. I could go on for hours and hours - but to finish the area of Kalkan is spectacualr - the weather amazing but the jewel in the crown is this viall - Villa Dolluca is an amazing and wonderful place to stay. You cannot go wrong.

Couldn’t fault the villa. Very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Beds and bedding high quality. Outside areas brilliant, lots of places to sit at various times of the day, and enjoy the views, and wow they’re amazing! Only downside if it can be viewed as such is that it really isn’t safe or practical to walk into Kalkan. This wasn’t a problem as taxis are plentiful and cheap (around £3.50 each way.?Worth it “”to have the views. Highly recommended.

We stayed for 10 days at the start of Sept 2020. There were only two of us but the villa would have easily accommodated 4. Everywhere was spotless and we had a full clean after 5 days which was nice. The villa had everything you could possibly need in it including a lovely welcome pack. The views from the top bedroom and pool area are to die for. The only down side if the this was the fact you are a but iut if the town and very high up the hillside. Therefore a car is essential for getting into town as there was no clear path to walk unless you walk on main road. Taxis were available but we hired car for full 10 days so we could visit other areas. This was the only slight downside but would not stop us booking this place again

Everything was great. We fell in love with the interior design. All kitchen needs are provided. Stairs were a bit hard but you can forget your fatigue when you entered the house. You should definitely grab your drink at the sunset. Mornings were peaceful. Thank you for everything.

Wow what a fantastic villa.
Superb views showing the mountains and the harbour.
Excellent service from the pool guy very professional and thorough.
Pool is the best and. Leanest we have experienced.
Beds really comfortable.
Water dispenser great addition, welcome pack was excellent too.
Very high standard of accommodation.
Steps down to the villa are only a very slight draw back but easily manageable. Plus there are lights down the steps which helps greatly.
Olive tree travel were fantastic and very professional
Would love to come back soon
Highly recommended

We have stayed in Kalkan for about ten years now and like to try different areas. We have never stayed above the road before however. Villa Dolluca was suggested to us by Debbie and we are so glad she did. The views are beautiful and the villa was perfect. It was spotless and the pool area very secluded with amazing sunsets. I would definitely recommend this villa.

Our 7th year in Kalkan and by far the best Villa we've stayed in. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again which says it all really! Obviously high up above the town, hence the fantastic views but not a problem if you have a car or make use of the taxis. Very clean Villa, clean pool (we never saw the pool man, he'd been and gone before we were even up), clean crisp bedding, fluffy white towels, pool towels, plenty of kitchenware and a much needed and very welcome water cooler which is replenished for just 10tl. An all round excellent place to stay!

Tastefully furnished, clean and very comfortable. Villa Dolluca offers amazing views from the comfort of the lovely swimming pool, the terrace, both bedrooms, and the living room - In short from every room, at all times of the day.

The pool was cleaned daily before we got up, ensuring we were never disturbed. The weather was into the 40s while we were there, but the air conditioning meant we kept our cool.

We booked through Olive Tree Travel, whose rep Zal was fantastic ensuring we found everything from the best restaurants to eat real Turkish food, to an excellent dentist for a root canal filling - nothing was too much trouble.
Two weeks in the Villa made for a really special holiday - one that we hope repeat next year.

This is a very nice villa with good facilities. The pool is good but no shallow end for small children. Two bedrooms - the master is superb. The second bedroom's double bed is a little small but both very comfotable. View is superb. Very clean and has good parking. BBQ is built next to pool.
its 22 lira by taxi to Kalkan taxi rank - you can walk down but are very unlikely to want to walk back up after a meal and a few drinks!

Overall - a very positive impression with only minimal niggles

We are returning customers and its better than ever with the new appliances and updates around the villa. This villa is home from home, very spacious for a two bedroom and the outside space is good, with lots of seating areas, shade if needed and a large clean pool. There are several steps down to the villa from the main road but worth it when you see the views! A car or taxi is recommended as its about 25 minutes to the centre. Plenty of restaurants to choose from and lots delivery straight to the villa.

Just back from a lovely, relaxing holiday at Villa Dolluca. This villa did not disappoint, looking exactly as advertised. The views were stunning and the pool was fab. Kalkan is beautiful with all restaurants serving wonderful food. We did not hire a car, using taxis each day, however, we would probably hire a car for at least a few days when we return next year. The people in Kalkan were friendly, polite and not pushy at all. We visited Kas which was lovely, and also spent the afternoon at the gorgeous Patara beach. We will definitely be returning to Kalkan.

We had a great stay at Villa Dolluca. Although it was extremely hot during our visit the pool helped to keep us cool. My 6 year old twins loved it. The views from the villa were out of this world and we loved watching the sun go down whilst having a barbecue. The villa was very well equipped with everything that you need. Excellent customer service from Debbie at Olive Tree Travel, hoping to return next year.

Wow! This place is amazing! The views are stunning and the pool area spectacular. The whole place was spotless. The pool is cleaned every morning to an extremely high standard.
Abi Tour travel who manage the property are excellent. We booked 2trips with them. They sorted out the car hire and transfers and they were both great. A car is essential as its too far to walk back up the hill especially in the hot summer months.
The DVDs in the villa were an added bonus. Everything has been thought of.
I would thoroughly recommend this villa.

We spent a wonderful 3 weeks at Villa Dolluca in July and it's undoubtedly the best holiday villa we've ever stayed in.

Although the photos of the property on Olive tree travel are excellent the villa was even better in the flesh! Really well equipped, spotlessly clean (also cleaned every week during our stay) patio area and gorgeous pool was cleaned daily (so early in the morning we never saw the gardener!) Lots of outdoor seating and lovely sofas in the shade, the kids loved the Bedouin tent!

It was wonderful waking up the beautiful view everyday and knowing it was going to be another glorious day in villa Dolluca Kalkan!

Thanks to Debbie at olive tree travel as booking was easy and she armed us with lots of helpful information about the villa and the area, including some great restaurant recommendations!

We wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Kalkan!
