Villa La Vie is an exciting new addition to our portfolio of luxury villas in the prestigious district of Komurluk. There are several popular beach clubs nearby and Kalkan's town beach, old town quarter and harbour area are a 10-12 minute walk away. The villa features a large pool with separate Jacuzzi section, a sauna, games room, gym and hamam.

Cannot recommend this villa enough - it is so beautiful! Furnished to an extremely high standard and has everything you could want.
The indoor kitchen had all the pots and utensils that we needed, water is filtered so you can drink straight from the taps and the outdoor kitchen and BBQ were also very well equipped.
There is an indoor sauna in the villa which we used and was great, there is also a Turkish Hammam which unfortunately we didn’t get around to using.
The 5 bedrooms are all beautiful, mostly en-suite with only one not en-suite (but has its own bathroom across the hall). All bedrooms had blackout curtains and tinted windows, so never woken up by the sun. Beds were VERY comfortable and large! Showers are powerful, and the air con is very effective throughout the whole villa (even turns itself off when you open a balcony door).
Outside the pool was amazing, slightly salted and slightly warm, the perfect temperature. The 2 jacuzzis were wonderful and lovely to relax in and admire the amazing sea views. Very comfortable sun loungers, lovely outside seating areas, table football and table tennis. The games room doubled up as a bedroom/studio flat for our 11th guest, which was absolutely fine for a teenage boy (he couldn’t get the PS4 connected to the WiFi, but we were on holiday!)
The gym was great too, small but perfectly formed and unexpectedly well used.
The location of the villa was brilliant, the views were breathtaking, it is in a quieter area, but only 12 mins walk to the harbour. There is a shortcut walk close to the villa, down some steps to the sea front. We were advised not to take this route in the dark, which was wise as it’s a bit steep and gravelly, but absolutely fine by day and even at dusk, and was a much easier, quicker and prettier walk than going the road way. Taxis home only cost around £3. We did struggle to book taxis to pick us up (they didn’t seem to know where the villa was or the area) and no one seemed to know where to take us home, but we soon realised to ask the drivers to take us to Zest beach club and then we directed them, which was much easier.
This villa comes with free access to Zest beach club and their sun-loungers, (the beach club is not as cheap as some of the other beach clubs but absolutely beautiful) it took a bit of working out how to get the complimentary access, but got there in the end - and you definitely need to book in advance.
Anything we had a query about throughout our stay was responded to immediately by Mustafa who was extremely helpful (often in person) and our pool cleaner delivered fresh bread every other day.
We had lots of little cat visitors around the pool in the evening, which was never a problem and we really liked it. Below the villa in the garage there are cat bowls and beds, where the cats can access via the cat flap.
There is WiFi throughout the villa and WiFi extensions in every room. We found the WiFi a bit hit and miss, it would consistently drop off, but I think that was the area in general and not the villa.
This is the most amazing villa to stay in - and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

This is a brilliant new addition to the villa options in Kalkan.

Location

Being located so close to the town made getting in and out an easy, and enjoyable, walk. In the evenings, we walked in as a group taking in the stunning views of the bay and the town, and came home in a taxi - at a cost of £2.50 + tip! It is in close proximity to 3 beach clubs - Palm, Denizim and Zest. All are fantastic, great value and within 10 mins walk - albeit the walk back is 'bracing' to say the least! We regularly used them as a base during the day to take a boat into town.

Outdoor areas

The outdoor area of the villa is gorgeous. The pool is a great size, and perfect for cooling off or chatting over a cold drink. The surrounding areas are spacious and well thought out. The hot tub didn't get a lot of use but would be great earlier or later in the year. The mix of marble tiling and artificial grass areas provided some variety of places to lie out and enjoy the weather. We weren't sure what the point of the small pool on the first floor was, right up until we sat in it between 6 and 7.30 in the evening - what an amazing spot to sit with a drink and watch the sun going down, beautifully framed by the design of the alcove.

We thought the electric fans over the seating areas were potentially over the top but they turned out to be perfect for a bit of respite from the heat - day and night. Lastly, the outdoor sink, outdoor fridge and gas BBQ - located next to the dining table - made a perfect entertaining area.

Inside the villa

Whilst we didn't spend a lot of time inside the villa - mainly going to the fridge and sleeping - it had everything we needed. The rooms were a great size, the aircon was excellent (in most rooms) and the kitchen was functional and had everything we needed. We didn't use the games room, TV area or sauna but could see them coming into their own if you were there with kids or out of season.

Overall, we loved the villa and would definitely consider staying in it again. We were a party of 6. It is advertised as up to a max of 10 (possibly 13 if young family). Although the interior accommodates this number easily, I think the outdoor area might feel a little cramped at the top end number of guests - particular if 10 adults.
