Hi dish washer broken
No keys for gun safe
No toiletries in bath rooms
Very little loo roll and told to buy our own
No dishwasher tablets or washing machine powder
Logs poor quality and not many
Just little things let it down

Property manager on behalf of the owner replied 43 days ago
Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We would like to address some of the issues you have raised. We apologise for you not having use of the dishwasher during your stay. As advised on arrival the dishwasher needed replacing and a new one was ordered. Unfortunately, it did not arrive during your stay. Dishwasher tablets are and were supplied. Fresh bars of soap are supplied in both bathrooms but no further toilettries. This is standard procedure within holiday lets. Both bathrooms had one toilet roll on the roller and a replacement nearby. Again standard procedure. It clearly states that the first basket of logs are free of charge and then charged at £5 per basket thereafter. We are confused that the quality of logs supplied was in question! The logs were not used by the previous clients so they definately were not damp. As per gun control rules: the gun safe has to be locked at all times with clients very welcome to use the gun safe. If requested, keys for the gun safe are available. Occasionally clients compare self catering with hotel stays when all amenities are supplied and replenished during a stay. Unfortunately, as the name self-catering suggests, clients have to bring or purchase items during their stay. Paying less than £35 per person per night over 5 nights does not mirror the costs per person staying in a similar standard hotel!

We found both the location and the service excellent. The only drawback was the weather but despite the rain we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay

This is our second visit to the cottage. We love it as it is next to FyneAles - of course but also because it is dog friendly with a secure garden. This second time, we came with our daughter and family...grandchildren also loved the secure garden. The daughter and family had the whole of the upstairs - which does creak a little if you are a light sleeper. However, the cottage is clean, well equipped and the bonus of being able to walk to the FyneAles Tap means no one needs to drive. Would definitely visit again.

Multigenerational family of six from Devon, Cumbria, Lancashire and Shropshire stayed for a week in May. The weather was glorious with no midges. Inverfyne cottage is in a fabulous location surrounded by mountains but close enough to a main road, easy walk to a restaurant, coffee shop and garden center.
The cottage was clean, is very well equipped with everything necessary for a wonderful holiday if the weather is fine or wet.
Our weather was glorious so the windows and the garden door were always open. The shrubs in the garden were vibrant in colour and scent and we went to sleep and awoke to bird song especially the cuckoo.
Thank you Mrs. De Lap and Elaine

To improve the cottage please could I respectfully suggest 6 more coffee mugs and some comfortable outdoor seating

We have stayed in numerous self catering accomodations over the years and this was a top quality cottage. The beds were extremely comfortable and there was plenty of space in the lounge and dining room for all of us (8 people). The washing and drying facilities were excellent and there was ample room for all our supplies due to the 2 fridge-freezers and large pantry. We enjoyed exploring the glorious countryside of the local area and beyond.

Inverfyne Cottage is in an beautiful location for those would seek quiet and solitude, at least in the Spring, before the main tourist season. A lovely sitting room overlooks Loch Fyne with direct access to an enclosed garden ideal for our two terriers. Perfectly equipped for self catering, indeed above standard of others. Many walks lead directly from the cottage and Fyne Ale Brewery is only 300m away and open daily until 6.0pm. Inveraray Castle & Gardens and Ardinglas both worth visiting.

It’s a lovely cottage and perfect for our families Christmas holiday . The cottage is fully equipped with everything you need for an enjoyable stay.
The owner is lovely and welcoming and provided us with provisions for our first night and day as the nearest supermarket is quite a distance away.
There is a local Brewery a short walk away and a restaurant close by .
Argyll holidays were very efficient and extremely helpful in arranging the holiday for us . They were easy to contact and always responded quickly.
We were very happy with our stay, the beautiful area and lovely walks . The children were very happy there.

We really enjoyed our stay at Inverfyne Cottage. Booking was a breeze with Iain (Argyll Self-Catering) answering all my questions with friendliness and patience. Gaining access to the cottage was simple, always a bonus after a long road trip or flight. The owner checked on us but respected our privacy. The cottage was well-stocked, spacious, clean, and comfortable. The garden was pretty with outdoor seating and a picnic table. The location is private with lovely views and a short walk to the banks of Loch Fyne and a pub/brewery, There are places a short drive away to eat and nearby the town of Inveraray for groceries, shopping, castle and jail exploring. The location is also convenient for branching out to explore Scotland, including the Highlands, many of the lochs, loads of castles, Edinburgh, and Glasgow.

We would not hesitate to stay at Inverfyne Cottage with our next visit to the UK. Thank you to the owners for opening your home to us! Cheers!

The cottage is set in the most stunning of locations with a view from every window! It was very well equipped, having everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
The owner is a lovely lady who is very helpful, informative and kind. A visit to the brewery is a must, the staff their are brilliant and the ale wonderful. The local town, Inveraray is very pretty with great eating places.
We had a great holiday and I would highly recommend it to anybody who loves great views, wildlife, wonderful food, and comfortable cottages.

I don't think I will be able to do justice trying to explain the stay in few words however I can say that property is located in one of the most beautiful settings I have ever been. The location is perfect and property is very comfortable. I wish I could have stayed for longer.

We had a fantastic stay at Iverfyne. Lovely comfortable cottage with all the amenities and mod cons you need.
Beautiful area with Loch fyne restaurant, garden centre coffee shop and the brewery within walking distance. Inverary is just 15 minutes away with lots to see and do.
Also a great location to visit other parts of Scotland.
We particularly enjoyed seeing the cattle in the fields right next to the cottage. Very cute and cheeky reaching over to eat the garden plants!!

Everything you need for a very relaxing break catching up with friends and/or family.

Just back from a great 4 days at Inverfyne cottage with three old friends. Everything was absolutely perfect and since no one else was moving in or out on the same days they were happy to be very flexible about both check in and check out times, which was a great bonus. The cottage is very well equipped, they seem to have thought of everything you might possibly need. Location is stunning, fantastic views out of every window, especially the huge window (basically one of the walls) in the lounge. The real fire just finishes the experience off nicely. Also, really comfortable beds. Plus extremely comfy sofas and armchairs.
Basically, everything you need for a very relaxing break catching up with friends and/or family.

Handy tips: The ground floor shower room/toilet has a heater connected to the light in the ceiling. you have to pull a chord to switch it on. It took me a while to discover it. Plus, the switch for the heated towel rail is immediately outside the toilet door almost at ground level. Again I didn't notice this at first.

Very nice, clean and well kept but old fashioned style open planned cottage with beautiful scenery around. Has everything you need giving it a home from home feel and has maintained that traditional peat fuelled fire within the living room, great for cold weather. This however may not suit everyone who likes the convenience of just switching on the gas central heating systems. Has plenty of walking places around the cottage, a brewery and restaurant within 10 minutes walk, all in all a good place to stay and relax.

Lovely cottage in a great location.

We had a fantastic time at Inverfyne. The location was beautiful with plenty of things to do locally and nice places to eat. The cottage was well stocked and had everything you need for a family holiday. The only problem that we experienced was with the water pressure - quite often the taps would not work as the pressure was low. However saying that it would not stop us going back there as we enjoyed the holiday so much.

Enjoyed a lovely relaxing stay at Inverfyne cottage. Very comfortable and homely, had everything we needed (even a piano!). Location excellent with enclosed, dog friendly garden. Would recommend visits to Loch Fyne brewery nearby and the Oystercatcher restaurant at Otterferry.
