We had a lovely stay in this cosy cottage right on Loch Fyne. It is a beautiful property and the host is lovely and helped with any questions promptly. Our two year-old very much enjoyed the playroom in the property. The views on Loch Fyne are stunning and there is lots to explore in this part of Scotland.

The owner is very friendly and the cottage is located quietly a few yards away from the road. Its small and beautiful, the furnishing is nice and in a lovley english style. Unfoutenately the covers of the armchairs were old and must be washed. WLAN and mobile phone reception are good. Sadly there arent any tramping paths near the cottage, but the Argyll peninsula is great and have enough possibilities to hike and visit. A place for great holidays!

This is our second stay at the cottage but for a wee bit longer as we enjoyed it so much the first time. The setting is gorgeous with only a minutes walk to the lovely shore of Loch Fyne. There is so much to do in the area & the cottage provides a perfect location to explore at a very reasonable price. Comfortable, clean with suitable facilities with a country cottage feel. As always Val is on hand with advice if required & generous offers.
As always we are looking forward to making another return visit next year.

We had a fabulous few days at Springburn Cottage, which has all the facilities anyone would need and is very quiet and peaceful. Mrs Neville is extremely welcoming and friendly. The location is stunning, on the banks of Loch Fyne. There is a general store at the Post Office, within a few minutes drive. Just beware of the midges and take plenty of insect repellent and bite cream!! Citronella candles are a must when sitting outside in the evenings!!

Springburn Cottage is located in a very quiet and peaceful location, just what we were looking for, a good base for south west Scotland.
We had a very peaceful holiday, however, the cottage advertised, bears no resemblance to the cottage today, ie : overgrown.
This cottage requires a clean in order to bring it up to a normal standard. As instructed we stripped the bedding and found to our dismay that a quilt was soiled with blood and pillows stained!
This is a lovely cottage in a good location but has been neglected, a pity.
Overall the cottage was well equipped.

The cottage is ideally situated for exploring the area. It suited all our needs. The steep stairs may be a challenge for elderly people, but it is in an ideal location for relaxation. The host was very friendly and helpful with lots of useful local knowledge.

Lovely little cottage. I marked it down on comfort simply cause my 6 foot + husband was to tall for the beds. Place would benefit from a welcome folder including things like local supermarkets and petrol stations (just a suggestion) but honestly, we couldn’t be made more welcome.

Cottage was situated just at the outskirts of Strachur which was perfect as Loch Fyne was just the place we wanted to visit. It was our second trip to the area and definitely the best. It is self catering option but there is plenty opportunities to dine outside so unless you are picky there is always somewhere to eat if local cuisine is your thing. Lots of hiking trails, even for families with kids, starting with Inveraray and ending with adventurous climb on top of the Creagan an Eich.
Hosts are very welcoming and helpful, gave us great overview of what is in the area, even places we would never thought visiting. Cottage is neat and tidy, hidden well from the road so you don't even notice anything at all. Stone throw away distance from the Loch is perfect opportunity to walk to the Inn along the shore - you never know what you can find.
I fully recommend this place.

A lovely, pretty little cottage in a great location and only 100 metres or so from the loch, where we swam twice a day. Benefits from having the owner next door, who was helpful and friendly throughout. Smelt of damp a bit in the lounge and there is not a lot of amenities close by, with the best beaches and walks half an hour drive, though there is a great pub close. All in all, well worth the money and I would go back.

We had a great week's stay at Springburn. Val was very welcoming when we arrived with suggestions of places to eat and visit. All of which we did and she was spot on with the recommendations. The cottage is really cosy, comfortable and very well equipped. The loch side is just over the road and it was nice to sit there in the evenings after dinner to watch the sun go down over the mountains. I would definitely recommend to anyone to stay here. Thanks Val for a great week and see you soon.

What a lovely cottage! Val gave us a warm welcome, and showed us around Springburn Cottage, including the children's playroom. This is a very pretty location in Argyll with local facilities to suit everyday needs - and the quiet to enjoy it. The kitchen is well suited to self-catering, although there are plenty of local eating spots. The large bedrooms allowed a good night's sleep on comfy beds. We didn't need to use the washing machine and tumble drier, but for a longer stay (or for walkers in poor weather) this would be a boon. This was our second holiday in Strachur, and I am sure we will be back at Springburn Cottage soon.

We enjoyed the quiet loch-side location of this cottage and ease of access to walks, gardens and wonderful scenery. The owner was a kind and gentle soul and a conscientious host, supplying us with welcome gifts of flowers, fruit, chocolate and wine, and being keen to chat and to offer local knowledge to enhance our holiday experience. The cottage was cosy, warm, comfortable and well-equipped, with lots of personal touches. Its position in well-established gardens to the rear of the owner's home ensured privacy and opportunity to contact the owner if the need had arisen.

A lovely little cottage, well presented and looked after. It was very cosy, and excellently situated for trips around the Loch Fyne area, as well the local village. The post office is also a shop and cafe/restaurant with very friendly staff and good food. Shop is slightly small but had all the basics we needed.
A really great place to stay regardless of the season - going in December meant we could take full advantage of the open fire!
Definitely recommended.

We felt welcome and really enjoyed our stay.
The cottage is lovely and homely and we made the most of the real fireplace, numerous board games are available for a rainy day.
The beautiful white bed linen and comfortable beds ensure a pleasant night sleep and the kitchen is very well supplied with cooking equipment.

What a lovely little cottage and what a warm welcome from Val. We loved the fresh flowers, chocolate, wine and fruit bowl that were waiting to welcome us.
The cottage is small but perfectly formed with lovely furniture, bedding and towels. Everything felt so fresh and clean.
The open fire is lovely and makes it so cosy.
Would highly recommend and hope to return :) Thank you Val!

Springburn Cottage is a very cosy and home-feeling little cottage, that provides everything for a four-persons stay.
The host Val is a very caring and lovely person. Small problems with the house were solved in a short time! We were even asked what she can provide for breakfast as we arrived late in the evening.
You absolutely need a car (or any other vehicle)!

We had a lovely stay at the cottage! The house was very well taken care of and the owner left us some welcoming gifts which really nice. We were 5 people and fitted perfectly! We really enjoyed our stay and had the countryside experience we were looking for. The thing to point is that although it say you have wifi we could not get it any of he says we were at the house.
