This is our first time staying in this accommodation and we couldn't have been happier. The cottage was beautiful, clean and had every amenity we needed. A short walk to the local shops and surrounded by some beautiful walks and sights. The access to the keys was so easy and it meant we were not rushing to get to the cottage at a particular time of day. The master bed was massive and really comfortable. The shower was nice and hot and the heating kept us nice and warm.

We look forward to staying again the next time we visit The Highlands and Glencoe.

Spent four days in Quarry cottage while we explored Glen coe and had a great time. The apartment was clean and well stocked for our stay. We really appreciated the coffee and tea provided. It was a nice touch. Location is great and very quiet. If there was one recommendation I could make is that it may be time to update the mattresses in the main bedroom. Nothing major, but for us, they felt a bit broken in. The mattresses in the 2nd room, however, were fine. All in all, we had a really nice stay and certainly wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if we are in the area.

Great stay thanks! Usual spotless condition from Clachaig Holidays, plenty of amenities within the cottage to cover our stay. The location is perfect, set within the village of Ballachulish and looking out onto the local shinty field. The local pub, chippy, bakery, and Co-op shop are a short walk away.
We have stayed before and hope to come back again.

Great stay in Ballaculish.

A cosy cottage just a short drive away from Glencoe. Lots of beautiful walks around the cottage itself. A small grocery store within walking distance had all the daily needs we required.
The cottage itself was well equipped with a dishwaher, cooking utensils...

It was nice to stay in a flat. The co op and the tourist info center are really closed by.

It is better to have a car when you'd like to go and walk at Glencoe valley.

We had a Nice stay at cottage nr 1. It has everything you need. The supermarkt, pub and restaurant are on walking distance.
The little village is Nice and quit. The perfect spots to visit Glencoe are nearby . If we come to Glencoe again we would book the cottage again.

I took my mum and dog on this little trip. We were amazed at the amount of appliances/utensils for cooking /cleaning. The cottage was very spacious and immaculate. It had everything you needed as if you were at home.the location was perfect with stunning scenery. The neighbours were lovely and they worked at the Claghaig Inn they were so friendly and helpful they loved my dog winter and they gave me some tips on were to go for walks. I would definitely recommend the cottage to stay for family's/friends itvwas perfect although I do love the Claghaig Inn itself for a stay.

We switched from a chalet at the Clachaig Inn to Quarry Cottages at the last minute as we wanted to be somewhere where facilities open over Christmas. The holiday company were very helpful and accommodating and refunded the difference in cost (we had originally booked a large unit at the Clachaig Inn). The cottage itself was well equipped and very conveniently located - the kitchen had everything you could need for cooking a proper meal, including a Christmas lunch and there was plenty of crockery and glassware. They also very kindly put a decorated Christmas tree in the cottage and left us wine and chocolates as a Christmas welcome gift, all very much appreciated. The cottage is not particularly luxurious, but it is very practical, everything works, the big double bed is very comfortable, and the heating works well. You can park immediately outside and the Co-op supermarket, the Laroch pub, fish&chip shop, cafe, etc. are all within a few minutes walk. Also nearby is the quarry which is interesting to look around and the starting point for a really nice shortish walk up into the woods. Would definitely recommend both it and Clachaig Holidays.

This is our second time in Quarry Cottages - last year we stayed in no. 3. We have been coming to Ballachulish every year for nearly 10 years and, of all the cottages we have stayed in, Quarry Cottages are the best. We love the location in the heart of the village, overlooking the Shinty pitch (able to see a match during our last visit, Ballachulish beat Cornwall 5-0, very exciting!). The cottages themselves have everything one could wish, spacious and comfortable. Heartily recommend.

Quarry Cottage no 1 has a prime location in the centre of Ballachulish and is ideal for visiting the local area and particularly for climbing the many excellent hills in the area. The cottage was clean and well equipped. Some of the fittings and furniture are showing their age and the shower could really benefit from being a bit stronger, but we had a very comfortable stay.

Love this cottage.
Spotlessly clean. Comfy beds. Super handy for Ballachulish - pub, restaurant, cafe, chippy, shop.
Plenty of great walks straight from the door.
Good location near Glencoe, Fort William, Oban, Caledonian Way for exploring further afield.

Excellent property in which to spend either for a short or long term break. It is well appointed and extremely clean. We were also very pleased to arrive for a Christmas break and find a tree, Christmas card and small gift from the operators.
I would go again and recommend it anyone.

No1 and No3 both were to a high standard of accommodation. For the second time this year we have never been let down with the level of accommodation. Our first visit at No3 was fantastic as we had the dogs with us, you pay a little extra for the privilege and is well worth it as we never want to leave the kids behind. Not our kids though, our daughter's. But this time it was just my wife and myself on this trip. No1 cottages was up to a high standard yet again, kitchen fully equipped, beds comfortable and great pillows. The local bus service is handy for a visit to Fort William, when you want to take a break from driving.
We would not hesitate to stay here again and plan to do so. Jamie + Marie Murphy

This cottage was in an excellent location for staying and visiting the area in and around Ballachulish. The local amenities included a well stocked shop, bar/restaurant and local takeaway. The cottage was comfortable and clean with a linen change provided during the 2 week stay. There was a problem with the shower screen but this was rectified immediately on reporting. A clothes rack would be useful as there was no tumble drier but other than that the facilities were very good. Would definitely stay here again and the company were helpful and responsive.

We absolutely loved our stay at No. 1 Quarry Cottages in Ballachulish. In an ideal position within walking distance of local Co-op, fish n' chip shop, cafe and pub. Not to mention the fabulous walks on the doorstep. One took us to an Enchanted Forest (via quarry) and then walking behind the cottage takes you to either the Ballachulish Horseshoe or skirt around the foot of the Horseshoe if you don't fancy the climb up.

The in-cottage manual did say there was a washer/dryer but that must have been replaced as there was no dryer facility on the washing machine; however the clothes did dry very well using the towel rails in front of the heaters. The in-cottage manual also said there was a dehumidifier in the porch which was also missing - but I always take 2 pairs of boots so I'm prepared!

Sofas a bit uncomfortable so needed to use pillow to prop our backs up and the bathroom floor was noisy with creaky floorboards so conscious of disturbing those in the twin bedroom next to it, shower was hot but not the power I'm used to at home. Lovely to have bath sheets as opposed to bath towels.

Weather was not too bad - a couple of days of rain but this didn't stop us venturing further afield to hike Ben Nevis and I also completed Aonach Eagach.

All in all - a wonderful week in Scotland and I would definitely book to stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at 1Quarry Cottages. Lovely location and good facilities nearby within a 2 minute walk. Very clean although the window frames upstairs could do with a clean. Everything you need was provided. We used the chippy down the road a couple of times and the Co-op was very convenient . You need to book a table to eat in the pub at the end of the road as it was very busy. Would definitely come here again. Glencoe was amazing.

Fantastic week in a superbly located accommodation. Its a few yards from the Shinty field where our kids could play football, frisbee etc in safety.
House has plenty of storage space, kitchen is good, fridge freezer easily big enough, bedrooms & living area very clean and comfortable. Porch area very handy for walking boots etc.
Shower is average at best no matter how you set it, fluctuating between normal temp & hotter than the Sun.
Wifi is poor but its the Highlands and we didnt go on holiday expecting super fast broadband.
Had an issue with broken toilet seat on arrival, sent one email and it was rectified immediately, very good customer service.
Would definitely stay again and would recommend to friends & family

The cottage was basic and in a great location for exploring the area . It was good value for money as prices this summer were crazy .
It did smell a bit damp and it was difficult to get clothes dry . No 1 cottage does not have a tumble drier or any outside drying screen . The bathroom is in need of an update - the shower has little power . But if you are happy with a no frills break , it’s fine . Our friends were in no 2 and they appeared to have a tumble drier ( essential on a trip to Scotland !)
Local amenities great with a coop , pub and restaurant all within a 2 min walk .

We found the cottage cosy and comfortable in a very good area. Two minor drawbacks - the wardrobes are quite small in height and there was only one reading lamp in the main bedroom. Overall though the cottage was very good. We also had the most brilliant weather with sunshine every day. A much needed break - we originally booked for 2020 but covid put a stop that.

This was a departure from the norm for me as I tend to book cottages which are away from everyone in a quiet place, views stretching far, no other houses to be seen. But I saw this on a late availability and loved the location so I thought I’d give it a go. It’s located right in the middle of ballachulish, near a dog park and with the mountains surrounding it all; there’s a fish and chips shop down the road and a co op , both in easy walking distance (very easy!). And it was still just right. Still felt quiet and secluded even with other houses around; and the views from the cottage were so beautiful. There are good walks direct from the cottage (didn’t even have to drive) and others which are very near (5-10 mins to glen Lochan and Pap of glencoe). The cottage itself had just about everything you need for cooking and staying in, and I enjoyed my stay very much!

Nice people to deal with.

Superbly located in a stunning part of Scotland, providing easy access to some of the most popular landmarks.

Nice pub with excellent food within 200 yards.

Co-op in the village ideal for day-to-day groceries but one needs to travel for anything other (Fort William).

The cottage is comfortable, well laid out and peaceful. It is a little ‘tired’ and in need of some refreshing.

All-in-all, it made for a lovely week’s family holiday (2 adults, a 10 and a 13 year old and a dog).
