The cottage we stayed in was wonderful, well appointed, clean, comfortable just ideal really. Location-wise it was just right for us, remote enough to be peaceful but not to far away from all the places we wanted to visit. The on-site grounds are amazing and fantastic for dog owners. If dogs could give reviews then our King Charles Spaniel would award Old Lanwarnick Cottages Five Paws!

The cottages are in a beautiful, peaceful location with lovely views. The interior was spotless and very comfortable. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. We had a lovely couple of days walking the stunning coastal footpaths nearby.

Our second stay in Rainbow cottage and again such a wonderful stay. Location, facilities, comfort, views are always so wonderful and there is always a very friendly welcoming from Vicky and her staff. We take both our Black Labradors and the exercise fields and walks always go down well!
We always feel so relaxed there and hate the day we have to leave.
Returning next year for special celebrations and have booked the Old Farmhouse and Blackberry too!
Cant wait to see you all again and many thanks again for all your hard work in what you do for providing us with such wonderful places to stay!

This is our 4th stay at Old Lanwarnick cottages, and, as in all previous visits, cannot be faulted. Everything was perfect ( although the weather was very mixed, nothing any one can do about that!) . We cannot rate the site highly enough, and are already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you to Vicky, Matthew and all the others who helped make our stay so comfortable

Prior to staying at Old Lanwarnick we had tried several “dog friendly” holiday cottages in Cornwall, all falling short in one way or another.
Old Lanwarnick really delivers beautiful kept, and equipped, accommodation with all the best creature comforts from home. With every facility you could want for you and your four legged friend. This is all set in a beautiful, private grounds, in a super part of Cornwall.
Vicky and the team provide “above and beyond” customer service and nothing has been too much trouble. After finding this gem, we have now been back several times and the facilities are always improved each time. Could not recommend more.

I booked Spice Barn and Rainbow Cottage together in July 2023. Myself, husband and dog stayed in the one-bedroomed Spice Barn and my son, daughter-in-law, baby and three dogs stayed in Rainbow Cottage. This arrangement worked very well for us as having four dogs together in one house is too much, especially when there is a baby at the crawling stage. Both cottages were fantastic - nicely furnished, comfy, modern and clean - and each had a garden. Ours was a small courtyard in front of the house but was perfect - very sunny and just opposite one of the dog fields (shielded by a hedge). Rainbow had a larger garden and was a few doors along from us. The smaller of the dog fields was flat, securely enclosed with plenty of space to throw a ball. The larger one, was on a steep sloping hillside where the grass is left to grow naturally (pathways were mown across it). This field was fantastic. There is a pavilion at the top from where lovely views can be had. The grounds and woodland walk were also lovely to explore. Our weather was mixed but we were able to walk parts of the coastal path and visited Looe, Fowey and Polperro - all of which are close and are well worth going to. In fact, we ran out of time and could happily have stayed two weeks.

We loved the cottage - it was very comfortable, including seeing the beautiful view from our window and a little wildlife with swallows nesting under the eaves!
The place is peaceful and clean, everything environmentally friendly and the team work hard at keeping everything going.
Great place and can't wait to go back.

We will be going back again! Two enclosed fields and woodland walk, the top field has lovely views, it’s literally roll out of bed and walk the dog it’s all there. The cottage was clean, had everything you needed and was really comfortable. The hot tub and gym was great with each cottage having a chance to book in on a board, very well thought through. We are definitely going back. Great food at the Plough Inn up the road in Duloe too. Excellent service all round - would strongly recommend.

I am so pleased you all had a lovely stay here, at Old Lanwarnick. The Plough at Duloe does serve amazing food, all freshly cooked ot order, very friendly and accommodating. You will be pleased to know that we have nearly finished extending our woodland walk with 3 distinct routes, providing more on-site places to walk. We look forward to welcoming you back! Despite our 12 year old dog being too immobile to make the journey from Portsmouth, Rainbow cottage was a great beak for a reduced father and young son getaway. Day tripping to Looe, walks around the cottage, and quiet evenings in the rural location was a wonderful experience for both of us. The cottage was very clean, presented perfectly, and has a lovely small private garden area for outdoors dining. The Eden Project was our best outing and we loved Looe’s beach, shops, and holiday feel. Thank you. Charlie

The cottage is set in a beautiful location with an ideal walking track for the dogs. The little garden was kept lovely. It had everything and more we could have needed. The HV car charge points were a fab addition, which meant we didn't need to charge whilst away from the cottage and these were a very reasonable rate. Vicky and Matthew were delightful and welcoming and made our stay even more enjoyable. We had an added bonus staying in the Rainbow Cottage. When we arrived, we noticed a family of Swallows nesting in the little overhang outside the double doors. We had the delight of watching all the Swallow babies fledge the nest before we left for home. It put the icing on the cake!

We have stayed in lots of cottages in the South West and this has been by far the nicest. We had a lovely 10 days break in a beauitful, well equipped, stylish and very clean cottage. The small garden was a plus as we have a dog and this just made life easier. Vicki was on site to greet us and knowing she was around if there had have been any issues, which there weren't, was a comfort. Rainbow Cottage was beautiful, the area very quiet and peaceful and the benefit of it all being so dog friendly was lovely. The very tiny roads getting to/from the property was a little challenging for me to begin with - not being the most confident driver, but i did get used to them. i would say if you have an expensive car to leave that at home if you can as the inevitable brush with bushes can leave marks on your paintwork. I would happily visit and stay again and happily give it 5 stars - thank you Vicki :)

We had originally booked this holiday back in 2019 for May 2020 but obviously due to covid it was rearranged for the following year, but unfortunately it had to postponed then for another year. During that time we had made many changes. Dates, extension of days and an extra dog, while the owners had changed too, the new owners are absolutely fantastic and accommodating.

The peace and tranquility is to die for as are the views, if you are looking for absolute r&r then this is for you. If you have dogs then the enclosed garden is fantastic.

However this property is 100% not suitable for people with mobility issues and is in the middle of no where, there is nothing within walking distance unless you like hiking and everything is hills and more hills.

Looe is about a 15-20 min drive in one direction and Polperro slightly less in the other direction. Both beautiful places

We would both love to go back but it will be without our oldest dog as he found the gravel and hills too much for him.

Loved our stay in Rainbow cottage ...we have stayed in Honey Pot and Spice barn and all of these properties are beautiful ...There doesn’t seem to be a thing overlooked in these barns everything is provided for a lovely relaxing stay ....If you do take a dog it’s perfect even a doggie shower after your walks...I love the woods that go down to a river with a landing to sit on ....don’t thinkI can find anything negative about Old Landwarnick .... thank you for a lovely stay ...see you again ...

We found this to be the perfect getaway especially over the winter months. Log fires to keep out the winter chill.
Our two dogs also very happy with the facilities, loved the countryside walks.

this was our second visit, This time we booked rainbow
it was amazing, the whole place is luxurious, they have great gardens, a hot tub, gym etc
the cottage was amazing, it had a huge kitchen/living area with every mod con you can think of. huge TV, blueray player and wifi

a great welcome basket with lots of goodies in and also milk in the fridge which was very handy. downstairs was a big master bedroom and small bedroom, a really well laid out cottage.
the place was spotlessly clean
there was a great local guide to the area
the grounds are amazing and it was great to see the horses overlooking our little garden

we will go back soon

This was our 5th stay at Old Lanwarnick so it’s safe to say we absolutely love it. Amazing throughout from the little touches of homemade dog biscuits for our dogs to the luxury bed linen. The hot shower for dogs is a great touch. The woodland is so tranquil and dog exercising paddock is a great place to let your dogs off the lead in a completely safe environment.

Following a visit in November 2016 we always wanted to return. Everything was actually better than we remembered including a new lighter Kitchen. Beautiful surroundings and a stunning place with good access to lots of things to do. Will definitely be going back again. Hosts very welcoming. Easy to just relax and unwind
