Cannot recommend highly enough. Everything was up to the highest standard. The whole cottage was furnished beautifully even down to the quality cutlery. Walking with the dogs literally from our door into an enormous fully dog proof field with a pavilion to sit in and watch the dogs having fun. The hosts were most welcoming and it seemed like nothing was too much trouble but they were not obtrusive in any way leaving us to enjoy our holiday.
If you are looking for a peaceful location for a holiday with fantastic views and great hosts then Old Lanwarnick cottages is a great place. Location does mean a bit of driving around but we picked this locations for the peace and knew we would be driving. Vicky was there the following morning as our arrival time was hampered due to traffic and was extremely nice, polite and accommodating. The Barn works perfectly for two and is beautifully presented, the jacuzzi bath was a god send for our achy joints after walking. Old Lanwarnick cottages is a beautiful location, the farm animals are an unexpected delight, owners very welcoming and attentive. We didn’t have a dog but the facilities are amazing if you have one. So peaceful even though the other houses had guests you wouldn’t know it. House and area was spotless only didn’t give full score as there were quite a lot of cobwebs and spiders, sorry. Would highly recommend especially for big family get togethers as you could book more properties.
This I learned from the most welcoming owner of Old Lanwarnick. Guests are encouraged to check out the Alpaca tribe who live on the estate, in addition to the more traditional chickens, ducks and goats. This is great for children of all ages, even ones as old as me! The estate is delightful, the natural gardens are interesting and the woodland full of surprises. It’s a great place for children to play safely outdoors, for dogs to exercise in designated areas, and if the weather isn’t great there is an indoor gym and hot tub for the adults. This was our 3rd time at this location and 3rd cottage and again nothing disappoints. Beautiful setting peace and quiet. Welcome basket on arrival. Apart from the 5 star service for us our dogs also had 5 star service, bowls treats towels and 3 fully secure enclosures. The cottage was spotlessly clean and every thing you could possibly need. Crisp white bedding and a very comfortable bed. The added bonus the animals on site Pygmy goats, chickens ducks and Alpacas. We had the most wonderful stay at Hobnob and couldn’t recommend it highly enough. The cottage was absolutely spotless on arrival and exceptionally well equipped, with everything you could need for both humans and hounds, including a crate, dog bowls and all the little necessities. The owners were absolutely lovely, personally greeting us and making sure we were settled in. The space around the cottage is fantastic, with beautiful woodland, safe areas for the dogs to explore and stunning views in every direction.
