Beautiful place, stunning views over the pond. We had a problem with the amount of house flies in the lodge, it was a daily battle.
Will be much better once building work is complete. we wasn’t notified of building work when booking, only a couple of days before arrival and it was a bit noisy during the day. Would love a dog friendly option with pool table and games machine as our teenager did find it slightly boring.

We have stayed here a few times over the last 5 years noticed a big improvement in lodge facility's this year , all lodges a little different can't wait to come back

Stayed 2 nights with my partner and dog.
Lodge clean and comfortable
Loved the ducks and rabbits.
Was very hot when we stayed , nowhere to walk the dog without driving
not much space in garden for the dog to play/roam
Need a mirror in bathroom as mirrors in bedroom were too dark

Wow these lodges are amazing, so spacious and clean throughout, we loved overlooking the lake from the hot tub.

We booked here as we had vouchers given us for a wedding present so can't really complain about the cost of it. However if we had paid i would say the price was quite expensive as we've stayed at better cheaper sites. Check in is after 4 which is a bit of a waste of a day. When we walked in there was ant traps visible but we didn't notice any until the morning after our first night when ants were all in the work tops and had been crawling in the food.

tayed at Cedar Lodge recently and honestly had such a nice time. It’s in a really peaceful spot not too far from York, so you get that quiet countryside feel but you’re still close enough to pop into the city. The lodge itself was really cosy and clean, and it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

The surroundings are lovely as well – perfect if you just want to relax for a couple of days. Waking up to the quiet and fresh air was a big highlight. Overall it felt like a proper little escape from busy everyday life.

Would definitely stay here again and recommend it if you’re looking for a chilled getaway near York.

Thank you to the team for a lovely stay over the weekend. The lodge was immaculate and my family loved the hot tub and warm decor. It was really private and snug with immaculately presented bedrooms. The games were a nice touch for the kids. We will certainly be coming back.

This was a beautiful lodge in a tranquil setting it was immaculately clean and well maintained myself n my sister stayed in blackthorn Lodge the bonus with this lodge was the outside area pool table darts board giant connect 4 but the hot tub was lush so relaxing .
There was also fire pit pizza oven and a log burner everything you need n more
A truly enjoyable stay
Would definitely recommend this to anyone who is wanting to book enjoy !

Fabulous lodge, very modern and well decorated. The beds were very comfy as was the seating area. The hot tub was amazing, very spacious, under cover and very pretty with the decorations. Couldn't have asked for anything else really, the owners had thought of everything.
Only one thing I was suggest - a mirror in the bathroom, as there were 4 girls we could have used a mirror in the bathroom but if that's the only thing then that's not a problem at all. Would definitely visit again
